Heydon Prowse (born 1981) is a British activist, satirist and comedian. He is best known for writing and performing in BBC Three's Bafta Winning The Revolution Will Be Televised alongside Jolyon Rubinstein.
He was educated at King Alfred School, London and the University of Sussex where he studied philosophy, graduating in 2004. As a schoolboy he played Colin Craven in the 1993 film The Secret Garden.
For the United Kingdom general election, 2015, Prowse changed his name to Michael Green via deed poll in order to stand as an independent candidate against Grant Shapps in the Welwyn Hatfield constituency. The name Michael Green is a pseudonym of Shapps which has attracted controversy. He secured 216 votes in the election, placing sixth out of seven candidates.
Prowse also acted as the presenter for the BBC documentary show The Town That Took on the Taxman shown in January 2016, where businesses in the small Welsh town Crickhowell attempted to minimise their tax burden using the same ways as large corporations.
Jolyon Rubinstein is a British actor, writer, producer and director. He is best known for writing and performing on The Revolution Will Be Televised, a show on BBC Three, alongside Heydon Prowse.
He acted in the popular political viral video in the run up to the 2010 general election with over 200,000 hits on YouTube and Yahoo before polling day.
Rubinstein was educated at the Independent King Alfred School, London, University of the Arts London, University of Sussex and State University of New York at Stony Brook. He graduated from the University of the Arts London with a MA in performance and from the University of Sussex with a BA in Politics and International Relations.
Rubinstein's first professional acting job was that of the PR in Nathan Barley. After producing for a number of years, Rubinstein and Heydon Prowse got together to direct and act for a number of films for Don't Panic Online. As of 2012 they both write and act for their BBC Three television show The Revolution Will Be Televised. He also creates content for the Financial Times Business and Yahoo. His first video was 'Fishing for Bankers' for the Don't Panic website where he and Prowse put a £5 note on the pavement and pulled it away with a fishing line when a banker leant over to pick it up.
The Revolution Will Be Televised is a British television satire show, which was first screened on BBC Three in August 2012. Writing for The Guardian, Sam Wollaston said it's "Sacha Baron Cohen with a bit more substance then, or Mark Steel with a few more laughs".
At the 2013 British Academy Television Awards, the show won the BAFTA for the Best Comedy Programme.
The programme is a montage of satirical pranks and sketches carried out by Prowse and Rubinstein to "fight back" against "a world full of hypocrisy, corruption and greed." Sometimes assuming fictional characters, most of the show's content consists of the two presenters making a mockery of the wrongdoings of politicians, bankers, and that in other current affairs, in an attempt to try to emphasise its immorality. The public involved usually has no idea that what is being carried out is satire, and are usually fooled by the antics of Rubinstein and Prowse, which leads to some interesting reactions.
A revolution is a drastic political or social change that usually occurs relatively quickly.

As we waited to ask David Blunkett a question (the question at the end of the video) about the Labour leadership crisis today, BBC TV prankster, comedian Heydon Prowse appeared and proceeded to wind up David with inflammatory comments about throwing Jeremy Corbyn under a bus or a under a 'small taxi'. David Blunkett seemed off guard and seemed convinced he was speaking to a Labour Party colleague and responded "We are in a terrible terrible mess, what a mess. It can’t be worse than this... I just wish he’d done the decent thing then we could have done it with dignity... At the moment we are finished..." Up until a few weeks ago Alan also held a position at Arawak Energy an exploration company owned by Vitol where he earned £35,000 for 20 days work a year. Plus I'm sure he earns a fair bit for poncing about on Have I Got News For You. So the fellow's not short of a ...
