Anthony and the Camp

Anthony and the Camp is a dance music group led by producer Anthony Malloy. The group also consists of Crawford Peterson, Henley Goddard and Linden Aaron. Malloy, who already had a number-one hit on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart with his former group Temper, hit the top spot again with the Camp in 1986 with the song "What I Like".

"What I Like" spent three weeks at the top of dance charts and was ranked as the most successful dance single of 1986. It also briefly appeared on the U.S. R&B Singles chart, peaking at number eighty.

"You Know You Like It" is a song from London-based electronic duo AlunaGeorge. The track was released in the United Kingdom on 20 April 2012 as the lead single from the duo's first studio album, Body Music (2013). The song peaked to number 55 on the UK Singles Chart in April 2013 after being used in a Tesco advert.

Timed with the release of the album, "You Know You Like It" was re-released on 28 July 2013, as a double A-side with "Bad Idea". It subsequently reached number 39 in the UK Singles Chart on 4 August 2013.

A remix by DJ Snake boosted the song's popularity in the United States, where it became a sleeper hit, peaking at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching number one on both the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay and Rhythmic charts.

Critical reception

The track was met with very positive reviews upon its release. Pitchfork Media labeled it "Best New Music".

Music video

A music video to accompany the release of "You Know You Like It" was first released onto YouTube on 31 August 2011 at a total length of three minutes and thirty seconds. The video is shot in black and white and features clips of Aluna Francis dancing.

DJ Snake

William Sami Etienn Grigahcine, (better known by his stage name DJ Snake), is a French DJ, rapper and producer of Algerian descent who mixes rap and electronic dance music.

DJ Snake is a Grammy-nominated producer and artist who debuted into the international scene with singles "Bird Machine" and "Turn Down for What" in 2013. "Bird Machine" is a collaboration with fellow French act Alesia. The single was picked up by Mad Decent, a Los Angeles-based record label run by Diplo, and released in February 2013. In June 2013, DJ Snake was invited by Diplo to do a live mix on his radio show, "Diplo & Friends", which airs on BBC Radio 1.

DJ Snake was announced to be working on a collaboration with Diplo, originally slated to debut in 2014; it eventually released in 2015 as the single "Lean On" in collaboration with MØ and Diplo's Major Lazer. On April 30, 2014, DJ Snake was labeled as an "Artist to Watch" by FoxWeekly. He and Dillon Francis were announced as alternating supporting artists for the summer Mothership Tour 2014 with Skrillex.

Jiles Perry "J. P." Richardson, Jr. (October 24, 1930 – February 3, 1959), commonly known as The Big Bopper, was an American musician, songwriter, and disc jockey, whose big rockabilly look, style, voice, and exuberant personality made him an early rock and roll star. He is best known for his 1958 recording of "Chantilly Lace".

On February 3, 1959, Richardson died in a plane crash in Clear Lake, Iowa, along with music stars Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens, and pilot Roger Peterson. That event has become known as "The Day the Music Died" because it is so called in Don McLean's 1971 song "American Pie".

Biography

Early years

J. P. Richardson was born in Sabine Pass, Texas, the oldest son of oil-field worker Jiles Perry Richardson, Sr. and his wife Elise (Stalsby) Richardson. Richardson had two younger brothers, Cecil and James. The family soon moved to Beaumont, Texas. Richardson graduated from Beaumont High School in 1947 and played on the "Royal Purple" football team as a defensive lineman, wearing number 85. Richardson later studied prelaw at Lamar College, and was a member of the band and chorus.
