Conway's Game Of Life Files pattern 120: Puffer 2
The following is quoted from the link below: "Puffer 2 was the second puffer to be found and was discovered by Bill Gosper. It is extremely dirty and its tail does not stabilize until generation 5533, after which it stays at period 140. It consists of a B-heptomino (shown here one generation before its standard form) escorted by two lightweight spaceships. Its debris can be stabilized by a third lightweight spaceship as in ecologist." Not much to say except, it was the second puffer discovered. I know that was already stated but I'm saying it again because I feel it's important. Pattern type: Puffer Direction: Orthogonal Period: 140 Speed: c/2 Number of cells: 22 Bounding box: 18×5 Discovered by: Bill Gosper Year of discovery: Unknown Source for information about puffer 2: http://www.conwaylife.com/wiki/Puffer_2 I DO NOT CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF THIS CONTENT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM activistvictor activist victor "conway's game of life" "john conway's game of life" "john conway" "john horton conway" "john horton conway's game of life" "cellular automaton" cgol "conway's game of life files" puffer- published: 17 Nov 2013

Conway's Game Of Life Files pattern 117: 186p24
The following is quoted from the link below: "186P24 is an unnamed period 24 oscillator that was discovered by Bill Gosper on October 21, 1994. It was the first non-trivial period 24 oscillators to be found, although its original form used t-nosed p4s instead of monograms. It uses two slightly modified carnival shuttles to make a toad flip its orientation every 12 generations." First of all, the toad that flips every 12 generations is located in the center of the pattern, and can easily be seen flipping in this video. Second, the name of this pattern, since the pattern has no official name, is a combination of how many cells it occupies, followed by a p, and then followed by the length of one oscillation in generations. Since is occupies at least 186 cells at all times and has a period of 24, it's unofficial name is 186p24 Pattern type: Oscillator Number of cells: 186 Bounding box: 58×26 Period: 24 Heat: 159.2 Volatility: 0.89 Discovered by: Bill Gosper Year of discovery: 1994 Source for information about 186p24: http://www.conwaylife.com/wiki/186P24 I DO NOT CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF THIS CONTENT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM activistvictor activist victor "conway's game of life" "john conway's game of life" "john conway" "john horton conway" "john horton conway's game of life" "cellular automaton" cgol "conway's game of life files" oscillator- published: 17 Nov 2013

Conway's Game Of Life Files pattern 98: Ship in a bottle
The following is quoted form the link below: "Ship in a bottle is a period 16 oscillator found by Bill Gosper in August 1994." If you want to know why this pattern is named what it is, I can tell you. Remember the last pattern I uploaded called bottle? Well this pattern is that same pattern, except it has an additional arrangement of cells inside the bottle. What's more, this additional arrangement of cells is actually a still life known as the ship, and since it is inside the bottle we get the name "ship in a bottle". Makes sense now right? Pattern type: Oscillator Number of cells: 86 Bounding box: 18×18 Period: 16 Heat: 45 Volatility: 0.70 Discovered by: Bill Gosper Year of discovery: 1994 Source for information about ship in a bottle: http://www.conwaylife.com/wiki/Ship_in_a_bottle I DO NOT CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF THIS CONTENT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM activistvictor activist victor "conway's game of life" "john conway's game of life" "john conway" "john horton conway" "john horton conway's game of life" "cellular automaton" cgol "conway's game of life files" oscillator- published: 20 Oct 2013

Conway's Game Of Life Files pattern 79: fountain
The following is quoted from the link below: "Fountain is a period 4 oscillator that was found in November 1994 by Dean Hickerson and named by Bill Gosper. " Now I can't speak for bill gosper, but I'm pretty sure I know why he chose that name. Because this pattern does indeed look like a fountain. It has an upper deck and a lower main water basin, and especially on the fastest speed I run this on, it looks like it's shooting pulses of water upward. Pattern type: Oscillator Number of cells: 63 Bounding box: 19×15 Period: 4 Heat: 38 Volatility: 0.68 Discovered by: Dean Hickerson Year of discovery: 1994 Source for information about fountain: http://www.conwaylife.com/wiki/Fountain I DO NOT CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF THIS CONTENT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM activistvictor activist victor "conway's game of life" "john conway's game of life" "john conway" "john horton conway" "john horton conway's game of life" "cellular automaton" cgol "conway's game of life files" oscillator- published: 30 Aug 2013
