Sunday’s peaceful protest over the shooting death of Michael Brown turned into looting by groups of people in Ferguson, MO. Around 8:30 p.m., just 30 minutes after the vigil for Mike Brown began, protesters in a different location became more aggressive.
By 10 p.m., St. Louis County Police had called for more assistance from all surrounding municipalities including St. Louis City and the Missouri Highway Patrol . Tactical units have been deployed across the area and the St. Louis County helicopter is in the air.
At this time, there are reports of several businesses burglarized or looted. A fire was set to the Quik Trip on West Florissant, looting at a tire store and a beauty supply shop as well as reports of damage to a Taco Bell.
Police from other north St. Louis County police departments have also been pulled in to help with crowd control. Police helicopters are patrolling over West Florissant from I-270 to Lucas and Hunt.
Looting is being reported along West Florissant from Chambers Road to Lucas and Hunt.

According to Yahoo News, officials decided to release to video this week of the November incident to get the assistance of the public to identify the looters. The group broke into the Dellwood Market in Dellwood with rocks and tools. After they couldn’t get the door open, several teens were seen kicking the door and the side of the walls down. The culprits filled the store within a few mins and grabbed chips, candy and unidentified bottles. While this clip shows the first few minutes of the looting, the incident actually lasted a few hours with no police in sight.
The store was looted three times since the death of Brown, with the store open for 25 years. The owner of the establishment, Mumtaz Lalani told Fox News last year he doesn’t plan to reopen the store.
“It is not only the dollar amount," he said. "It’s just the psychological effects, that I don’t feel safe anymore in my own neighborhood that I used to be doing my business in for the last 25 years.”
Lalani says previous damages added up to at least $50 to $100,000. He also says his clerks says they noticed some of the people in the video.

Multiple police agencies were called to Ferguson early Saturday morning following reports of violence.
About 200 protesters clashed with police at the height of the disturbance at the Ferguson Market, where they began looting. Police said they tried to set the store on fire.
St. Louis County Police tell News 4 there has been more looting of stores near West Florissant. According to police, a liquor store, an electronics store, and a beauty supply store were looted,
About 100 police officers in riot gear moved in to disperse the crowd. One officer was injured by a thrown brick or rock.
Police said there was also at least one shooting victim rushed to Christian Northeast Hospital. No other details about that shooting have been released, other than it took place at the intersection of West Florissant and Canfield Drive.
At one point, protesters locked their arms and turned their backs to police.
There are reports that peaceful protesters, including Alderman Antonio French, attempted to calm tensions. Groups were seen blocking entrances to local stores to keep looters from entering.
There are no official reports of arrests being made. As looting occurred, police dressed in riot gear mainly stood and watched, apparently under orders not to engage.
News 4's Russell Kinsaul reported police arrived on scene around 6:15 a.m. to make sure only authorized people were inside businesses as well as clearing parking lots.
Community members also arrived to start the clean-up process for businesses damaged by looters.

Looting
Looting, also referred to as sacking, ransacking, plundering, despoiling, despoliation, and pillaging, is the indiscriminate taking of goods by force as part of a military or political victory, or during a catastrophe, such as war,natural disaster, or rioting. Sunday’s peaceful protest over the shooting death of Michael Brown turned into looting by groups of people in Ferguson, MO. Around 8:30 p.m., just 30 minutes after the vigil for Mike Brown began, protesters in a different location became more aggressive.
By 10 p.m., St. Louis County Police had called for more assistance from all surrounding municipalities including St. Louis City and the Missouri Highway Patrol . Tactical units have been deployed across the area and the St. Louis County helicopter is in the air.
At this time, there are reports of several businesses burglarized or looted. A fire was set to the Quik Trip on West Florissant, looting at a tire store and a beauty supply shop as well as reports of damage to a Taco Bell.
Police from other north St. Louis County police departments have also been pulled in to help with crowd control. Police helicopters are patrolling over West Florissant from I-270 to Lucas and Hunt.
Looting is being reported along West Florissant from Chambers Road to Lucas and Hunt.

http://www.vladtv.com -Police in Missouri are searching for at least 180 people who were seen looting a local market after the grand jury decided not to charge Darren Wllison for the murder of Michael Brown.
According to Yahoo News, officials decided to release to video this week of the November incident to get the assistance of the public to identify the looters. The group broke into the Dellwood Market in Dellwood with rocks and tools. After they couldn’t get the door open, several teens were seen kicking the door and the side of the walls down. The culprits filled the store within a few mins and grabbed chips, candy and unidentified bottles. While this clip shows the first few minutes of the looting, the incident actually lasted a few hours with no police in sight.
The store was looted three times since the death of Brown, with the store open for 25 years. The owner of the establishment, Mumtaz Lalani told Fox News last year he doesn’t plan to reopen the store.
“It is not only the dollar amount," he said. "It’s just the psychological effects, that I don’t feel safe anymore in my own neighborhood that I used to be doing my business in for the last 25 years.”
Lalani says previous damages added up to at least $50 to $100,000. He also says his clerks says they noticed some of the people in the video.

Multiple police agencies were called to Ferguson early Saturday morning following reports of violence.
About 200 protesters clashed with police at the height of the disturbance at the Ferguson Market, where they began looting. Police said they tried to set the store on fire.
St. Louis County Police tell News 4 there has been more looting of stores near West Florissant. According to police, a liquor store, an electronics store, and a beauty supply store were looted,
About 100 police officers in riot gear moved in to disperse the crowd. One officer was injured by a thrown brick or rock.
Police said there was also at least one shooting victim rushed to Christian Northeast Hospital. No other details about that shooting have been released, other than it took place at the intersection of West Florissant and Canfield Drive.
At one point, protesters locked their arms and turned their backs to police.
There are reports that peaceful protesters, including Alderman Antonio French, attempted to calm tensions. Groups were seen blocking entrances to local stores to keep looters from entering.
There are no official reports of arrests being made. As looting occurred, police dressed in riot gear mainly stood and watched, apparently under orders not to engage.
News 4's Russell Kinsaul reported police arrived on scene around 6:15 a.m. to make sure only authorized people were inside businesses as well as clearing parking lots.
Community members also arrived to start the clean-up process for businesses damaged by looters.
