Sadly, this video was scheduled to go live on a day that was met with tragedy in Brussels. What happened today was awful, and a deliberate attack of freedom. I very much considered putting this video off because of today's events, but I feel as though doing so would mean that those that took those lives today would have affected us all even further. We must not give into the wants of those who wish to destroy -- my thoughts are with all of those in Brussels today and I hope this video does not bring any emotions to any of you other than joy.

My trip to the DMZ from the South Korean Side. This is taken from inside one of the small blue buildings. This North Korean could not wipe his own face for some reason so another guard walks over and does it for him!
One thing that was stressed by our guide was "NO POINTING!" over and over. This is because the North films us 24/7 and could be used for propaganda, so they say.

This is a high value knife! I really dig this knife and use it in my EDC when the law and situation warrants it's use. The blade length is 4.5 inches with an overall open length of 5.75 inches. It is very heavy weighing in at 9.2oz! Given it's size and weight this can be easily put into a tactical scenario with confidence. I really prefer the tanto blade shape as it is just cool to me (for you TNPers - 2nd kind of cool). I highly recommend this knife and it is my favorite emergency rescue knife I have in my collection.

Every day at dusk, Indian and Pakistani border guards put on a show of one-upmanship at the Wagah border crossing near Amritsar, Punjab. The two countries are not on the best terms, but instead of a boring stare down, there is plenty of humour and acrobatic extravaganza to be found as the soldiers try to outdo the other side by marching and parading in hilariously exaggerated fashion. Thousands show up to watch from the stands everyday, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crazy uniforms, inpressively high leg kicks, and the longest bellowing contest we have ever heard. Gotta say, the Pakistani bellower was a bit better that day :)
Technical notes: Shot in 1080p HD with a Canon 60D camera and 18-135mm 3.5-5.6 IS lens.

Michael Edward Palin, CBE, PRGS (born 5 May 1943) is an English comedian, actor, writer and television presenter best known for being one of the members of the comedy group Monty Python and for his travel documentaries. Addison here and today I'll be reviewing the fully loaded Smith and Wesson Border Guard 2 folding knife. Packed with many features, the Border Guard 2 is a knife that promises not to disappoint. With an overall length of 10" and a blade measuring 4.4", this is a bit too big to be an EDC but is an ideal mid-sized folder. The blade of this knife is constructed of 7cr17Mov steel, which is a bit hard to keep sharp but is a decent steel type for this knife. This blade's edge is partially serrated, which is perfect for cutting things like seat belt straps and thick rope. The tip of the blade also features a tanto design that is able to penetrate through tough materials with relative ease. The handle of this knife is constructed of aluminum and has been layered with Trac Tec inserts that provides you with a sturdy grip. This knife has been fitted with a liner lock, which works hand in hand with the thumb studs found on either side of the blade. Other features of this knife include a seat belt cutter and a glass breaker. Overall, the Smith and Wesson Border Guard 2 is an effective survival knife. Its serrated blade, tough handle and extra survival features make this knife seem like the full package but it does have a few major drawbacks. One drawback is that the 7cr17Mov steel is very hard to sharpen and dulls very quickly. Another drawback is that knife as a whole is entirely too bulky. It is too large and heavy to be a knife you would want to carry with you in a survival situation due to the fact that it weighs almost 9 ounces. Lastly, the blade is not as easy as it should be to deploy. Because it is so large and the thumb studs are so close to the hinge, the blade is very difficult to swing open. In my opinion, this knife should have a spring assist because using the thumb studs is almost a two handed job. We here at Knifehog give this knife 2 out of 5 stars. This North Korean could not wipe his own face for some reason so another guard walks over and does it for him! One thing that was stressed by our guide was "NO POINTING!" over and over. Smith and Wesson Border Guard Emergency Rescue Knife
This is a high value knife! I really dig this knife and use it in my EDC when the law and situation warrants it's use. The blade length is 4.5 inches with an overall open length of 5.75 inches. It is very heavy weighing in at 9.2oz! Given it's size and weight this can be easily put into a tactical scenario with confidence. I really prefer the tanto blade shape as it is just cool to me (for you TNPers - 2nd kind of cool). I highly recommend this knife and it is my favorite emergency rescue knife I have in my collection. -

The two countries are not on the best terms, but instead of a boring stare down, there is plenty of humour and acrobatic extravaganza to be found as the soldiers try to outdo the other side by marching and parading in hilariously exaggerated fashion. Thousands show up to watch from the stands everyday, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crazy uniforms, inpressively high leg kicks, and the longest bellowing contest we have ever heard. My trip to the DMZ from the South Korean Side. This is taken from inside one of the small blue buildings. This North Korean could not wipe his own face for some reason so another guard walks over and does it for him!
One thing that was stressed by our guide was "NO POINTING!" over and over. This is because the North films us 24/7 and could be used for propaganda, so they say.

This is a high value knife! I really dig this knife and use it in my EDC when the law and situation warrants it's use. The blade length is 4.5 inches with an overall open length of 5.75 inches. It is very heavy weighing in at 9.2oz! Given it's size and weight this can be easily put into a tactical scenario with confidence. I really prefer the tanto blade shape as it is just cool to me (for you TNPers - 2nd kind of cool). I highly recommend this knife and it is my favorite emergency rescue knife I have in my collection.

Every day at dusk, Indian and Pakistani border guards put on a show of one-upmanship at the Wagah border crossing near Amritsar, Punjab. The two countries are not on the best terms, but instead of a boring stare down, there is plenty of humour and acrobatic extravaganza to be found as the soldiers try to outdo the other side by marching and parading in hilariously exaggerated fashion. Thousands show up to watch from the stands everyday, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crazy uniforms, inpressively high leg kicks, and the longest bellowing contest we have ever heard. Gotta say, the Pakistani bellower was a bit better that day :)
Technical notes: Shot in 1080p HD with a Canon 60D camera and 18-135mm 3.5-5.6 IS lens.

Hey guys, welcome back to Knifehog.com. Addison here and today I'll be reviewing the fully loaded Smith and Wesson Border Guard 2 folding knife.
Packed with many features, the Border Guard 2 is a knife that promises not to disappoint. With an overall length of 10" and a blade measuring 4.4", this is a bit too big to be an EDC but is an ideal mid-sized folder. The blade of this knife is constructed of 7cr17Mov steel, which is a bit hard to keep sharp but is a decent steel type for this knife. This blade's edge is partially serrated, which is perfect for cutting things like seat belt straps and thick rope. The tip of the blade also features a tanto design that is able to penetrate through tough materials with relative ease. The handle of this knife is constructed of aluminum and has been layered with Trac Tec inserts that provides you with a sturdy grip. This knife has been fitted with a liner lock, which works hand in hand with the thumb studs found on either side of the blade. Other features of this knife include a seat belt cutter and a glass breaker.
Overall, the Smith and Wesson Border Guard 2 is an effective survival knife. Its serrated blade, tough handle and extra survival features make this knife seem like the full package but it does have a few major drawbacks. One drawback is that the 7cr17Mov steel is very hard to sharpen and dulls very quickly. Another drawback is that knife as a whole is entirely too bulky. It is too large and heavy to be a knife you would want to carry with you in a survival situation due to the fact that it weighs almost 9 ounces. Lastly, the blade is not as easy as it should be to deploy. Because it is so large and the thumb studs are so close to the hinge, the blade is very difficult to swing open. In my opinion, this knife should have a spring assist because using the thumb studs is almost a two handed job.

Wagah (Punjabi: ਵਾਘਾ, Hindi: वाघा, Urdu: واہگہ) is the only road border crossing between India and Pakistan, and lies on the Grand Trunk Road between the cities of Amritsar, India and Lahore, Pakistan. Wagah itself is a village through which the controversial Radcliffe Line was drawn. The village was divided by independence in 1947. Today, the eastern half of the village remains in India whilst the western half is in Pakistan.
The Wagah border, often called the "Berlin wall of Asia", is a ceremonial border on the IndiaPakistan Border where each evening there is a retreat ceremony called 'lowering of the flags'. At that time there is a very energetic and thrilling parade by the Border Security Force (B.S.F) of India and the Pakistan Rangers soldiers. It may appear slightly aggressive and even hostile to foreigners. Troops of each country put on quite an entertaining show in their uniforms with their colorful turbans. Border officials from the two countries sometimes walk over to the offices on the other side for day to day affairs. The happenings at this border post have been a barometer of the India-Pakistan relations over the years.
Samjhauta Express, the train service between Lahore and Delhi, plies twice a week from Attari railway station, 5 km from Wagah. The National Highway 1 of India starts from Wagah Border, and is the transit point for the DelhiLahore Bus service operating within the Punjab between Amritsar and Lahore, which was started in 2004 as relations between the two countries improved.
During British rule the village was part of the Lahore Division of British Punjab. In 1947 the division, like the village, was split between India and Pakistan.
Porters carrying goods across Wagah border For the past 60 years since independence in 1947, porters have been carrying goods across the Wagah border, which had been the only road link between the two nations, before the opening of Aman Setu in Kashmir for the start of the SrinagarMuzaffarabad Bus in 1999. On August 1415, 2001, the respective Independence days of Pakistan and India, the candle-lighting ceremony at the Wagah border, in which 40,000 Pakistani citizens and 15,000 Indian citizens took part, was seen as a reflection of the changing public mood over India-Pakistan reconciliation; such candlelight vigils and the yearly 'Midnight Peace Festivals' were also reported in subsequent years. There have been many calls for the opening up of Wagah border to promote Indo-Pak trade through increased transport between India and Pakistan. In March 2005, a delegation of the Indian Border Security Force met the Pakistan Rangers at the Wagah border to discuss the border issue after three years since the 20012002 IndiaPakistan standoff.
In May 2005, Pakistan allowed the import of five specified food items, free of tax via Wagah border to tide over shortages in the domestic market; eventually, in an unprecedented move, on 1 October 2006, trucks carrying goods crossed the Wagah border for the first time since the independence of Pakistan and India over 60 years ago. The 1,400 Pakistani and 1,300 Indian porters employed till then were employed in unloading lorries and trucks, with this the bi-lateral arrangement which accounted for $1.3 billion (£650 million) a year in trade in 2007 and was expected to exceed $10 billion by 2010. The trade has further improved since then through the Wagah post, despite the ups and downs of Indo-Pak relations.
With over 8000 people visiting the border on an average day just on the Indian side, governments have started developing Wagah as a tourist destination, improving tourist and custom facilities. The Indian government plans to develop a global tourist complex at the Wagah-Attari border, which lies 30 km away from Amritsar.
As the relations between the two nations improved, the joint talks to tone down the sunset ceremony were held between BSF and Pakistan rangers, and the two later started "reorienting" their personnel involved in the ceremony, effects of which were seen by November 2006, when the evening ceremony at the border was considerably less aggressive than in previous decades on both sides

This when I went to the Wagah border which is near Lahore, Pakistan. I recorded the whole ceremony in it's entirety for you to see. It's the whole 35 minutes and fun to watch. This is the only complete video of the Wagah Border Guard changing I am aware of on the web or youtube so enjoy if you cannot make the journey to see in person. Unfortunately the camera did not have a zoom at the time as the Pakistan side was the best in my opinion however too far from the india side I was on to record it. -

She sees Norway's radical Border Guard as an example of how to effectively integrate women into the most male-dominated environments on earth. The challenges of living and sleeping together 24/7 are actually seen as positives by the young women. "We get to know each other faster and then we work better together", says Henriette. She has become "one of the guys" to her male room mates, conscripts who still heavily outnumber women. Sexual assault rates, already comparatively low in Norway's armed forces, are already declining. "There is a zero tolerance for harassment", says Colonel Ingrid Gjerde.

This when I went to the Wagah border which is near Lahore, Pakistan. I recorded the whole ceremony in it's entirety for you to see. It's the whole 35 minutes and fun to watch. This is the only complete video of the Wagah Border Guard changing I am aware of on the web or youtube so enjoy if you cannot make the journey to see in person.
