So it's no surprise that later in the evening, as the smitten pair left the premiere's official after party in nearby Antibes, the 55-year-old actor clung tightly to his wife's hand. The married couple looked the picture of bliss as they emerged into the night after celebrating, with Amal looking as serene as she had done hours beforehand. George seemed loathed to want to let go of his beautiful spouse's hand as she tottered along the street in her devilishly high heels, the very same ones that almost became entangled in the full lemon yellow skirt while in front of hundreds of cameras at the premiere. The 38-year-old barrister happily kept a firm grip on her man's hand as they were joined by other partygoers after toasting to the evening's success. And, despite the long day that stretched out after them, the good-looking pair appeared in fantastic spirit while getting into their car to return to their nearby hotel. Earlier in the evening, Amal had made headlines in her sensational in a simple pale yellow gown as she attended the star-studded premiere of her husband's new film Money Monster at the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival. However, the celebrated human rights lawyer found herself struggling with the flowing train of her gorgeous gown as she posed for pictures with George and his cast mates. Amal was the centre of attention as she arrived at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès to make her Cannes debut. Her besotted partner, who looked handsome as ever for his big night but couldn't seem to take his eyes off his lovely wife, who showed off a lot of her lean legs while the skirt flitted around her figure in the breeze. Meanwhile, Julia Roberts emanated old-school Hollywood glamour in a vintage inspired, black ball gown as she arrived at the Palais des Festivals. Meanwhile, George, 55, complemented his co-stars outfit in a fitted black suit that he teamed with a black shirt with open buttons. Popping a pair of sunglasses in his top pocket, the Golden Globe winner looked every inch the silver fox with his hair tousled and goatee expertly groomed. Beaming as he chatted with his friends, the star looked as though he didn't have a care in the world whilst he strode around the grounds, holding out his hands to jokingly introduce Julia to the hoards of photographers. Whilst the pair have enjoyed a light-hearted relationship over the years, Julia revealed that her co-star also had a sweet caring side to him that she witnessed whilst she was pregnant. Speaking to Allure, the mum-of-three revealed that while she was pregnant with her twins, now 11, she became the focus of his attention. 'At George’s house, I remember walking down this path pregnant with Phinn and Hazel and turning the corner, and all the boys were sitting at the table having lunch.
