Toi or TOI may refer to:

Toi (song)

"Toi" (English translation: "You") was the Luxembourgish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1975, performed in French by Irish singer Geraldine. The entry had a high pedigree, being penned by three authors/composers who had all written/composed previous Eurovision winners. Pierre Cour had been partly responsible for the 1960 winner "Tom Pillibi" and Bill Martin and Phil Coulter had created the 1967 winner "Puppet on a String".

The song is a ballad, with Geraldine telling her lover that "my life doesn't exist without you" and pledging her unending love to him. Geraldine recorded the song in two languages; French and her mother tongue English, the latter as "You".

Another singer with a similar name, Géraldine, represented Switzerland in the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, finishing last with 'nul points', but as John Kennedy O'Connor's The Eurovision Song Contest - The Official History notes, despite the similarity in name, the two singers are unique. This Geraldine later married the song's composer, Phil Coulter.

"Smokin'" is a rock song by the American rock band Boston, released as the b-side to the band's first single, "More Than a Feeling." Like most of the tracks from the group's debut album, it has become a staple on classic rock radio. It has also been covered by other bands, including Anthrax.

History

The song was a collaborative effort between Tom Scholz, the band's mastermind, who had recently hired lead singer Brad Delp, and one of the two songs on the first Boston LP not written by Scholz alone. Delp's singing style mixed with Scholz's musical style in this song helped their eponymous first album to sell over 17 million copies. It was one of the songs Scholz started writing in the early 1970s several years prior to the release of Boston. From early demo tapes made in his basement, some with Delp, an early version of the song written and recorded in 1973, called "Shakin'", appears from the Mother's Milk Sessions. This tape reveals that originally, the song had a different meaning. It was also featured on the popular 2004 videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in its classic Rock station K-DST.

Ridin'

"Ridin'" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Chamillionaire, released as the lead single from his debut studio album The Sound of Revenge (2005). The song, produced by Play-N-Skillz, features a guest appearance from fellow American rapper Krayzie Bone, of Bone Thugs n Harmony. Its title is often incorrectly assumed to be "Ridin' Dirty", due to the chorus. The lyrics concern racial profiling and police brutality, as well as the stereotyping of African-Americans driving a vehicle with drugs or other contraband on the inside ("Riding dirty").

Music video

The music video attempts to create a sense of the police abusing their powers, though Chamillionaire does admit to various crimes of that nature, including driving under the influence and prostitution. He juxtaposes police actions with wrestling scenes to show how the police allegedly treat suspects. The music video, filmed in Dallas, Texas, features cameo appearances from Tom Lister Jr., Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Play-N-Skillz, Chingo Bling, OG Ron C, Big Tuck, and Chamillionaire's younger brother Rasaq.
