ConTessa was created by
Stacy Dellorfano to get more women involved with tabletop roleplaying games. While male and female gamers are invited to participate as players, what makes Contessa unique is that Gamemasters can ONLY ever be women.
Games have been broadcasted on hangouts on air since
2013.
In an interview, Stacy criticized her experiences with other google+ table top gaming, saying “there was [] a great deal of snark, negativity, and meanness - especially when discussing such emotionally charged topics as women in gaming. I engaged in many of those debates and conversations, and frequently felt myself coming away disappointed with the tone and caliber of the conversations.” She went on to say she “kept going back to the idea that what we're really fighting for is the ability to play games, and we often spend so much time fighting that we don't get a lot of chance to play the games.
Plus, it can be exhausting to be a woman in the land of tabletop gaming always expected to have an opinion on everything "as a woman" rather than "as a gamer".”
Contessa has had recruitment issues.
Even though Stacy says there's no set agenda, political bias or motivation on ConTessa, it is innately political to have an event purely for female gamers. As inclusive as it may proclaim to be, it will always come across as prejudiced and pandering, which may turn men and women away, alike.
In general, playing with strangers and knowing your game will be broadcasted on google+ may lead to more self-censorship and political correctness than if you were to play in your own space with buds, where a whole lot more is possible.
Sometimes a safe space is a politically incorrect one.

Donald Trump/
Ike Perlmutter Story
Summary:
It is no secret that the
Honey Badger Brigade is no fan of social justice warriors. However, unlike some people, we recognize the importance of separating a person’s work from their politics. For example, we are no fan of
Joss Whedon’s sheepish support for people like
Anita Sarkeesian and others who adopt the regressive agenda, but we can still appreciate the work he has done with
Firefly,
Dr. Horrible,
Buffy, and the
Marvel Cinematic Universe.
On the other hand, we have the SJWs. Much like
Randi Harper’s Blockbot, if there is a slightest chance you do something that is even mildly associated with somebody on their hit-list, prepare to be compared to
Hitler.
Marvel CEO, Ike Perlmutter, decided to donate one million dollars of his own money to a charity to help veterans.
What is the problem with that? The fundraiser was headed by
Donald “meme-tastic”
Trump.
Fill in the blanks yourselves.
Marvel Comics/Unsolicited Opinions on
Israel:
Riddle me this: what do Marvel Comics and
Benjamin Netanyahu have to do with each other?
The answer? Well, I could share it with you, but that might lead to somebody offering unsolicited opinions on Israel and we really don’t want that.
If people thought female
Thor was a pandering, take a look at
Marguerite Bennett’s
Angela:
Queen of Hel #4. Much like other comics, there is action, blood, violence… and depending on what comic you buy, there might be content that inches towards a more adult audience. In this particular issue however, there was something so offensive, that to read it would be the literary equivalent of looking into the eyes of the
Basilisk or the face of
Medusa. If you’re asking what that horror is, I reply, “Well…
DUH… what else could it be?
It’s the
MRA, misogynist, red-pill brigade!”
