Let's fly to Hong Kong on one of Cathay's four daily fights from Sydney. Overall a good flight, but is Cathay's service slipping? The crew seemed forgetful or just interested in getting their tasks out of the way before their break. They didn't put ice in my drink until asked. Forgot peanuts with the drinks. Forgot to load enough main courses on the meal trolley. Forgot to make sure cutlery was on the meal trays. Didn't offer coffee after the meal unless asked for it. Am I expecting too much? What are your thoughts?

If they have the accordant traffic rights, these airlines often sell very cheap tickets because they know about their empty seats on flight legs not touching the hub. That's what I did in this video!

Join us for a trip from Amsterdam to Hong Kong, in Cathay Pacific's Business Class. Overall the flight was very enjoyable, unnotable in a good way. While not flashy, their offering is well thought out. The staff were attentive but also left you to get on with things if you wanted. 8/10. Shot on 12th November 2015. Cathay Pacific CX790 : Flying from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong
To Hong Kong, on Skytrax Best Airline 2014 winner, Cathay Pacific from Kuala Lumpur. This was a very nice flight on Cathay Pacific which I enjoyed very much! For this afternoon flight, flying time was 4 hrs and 10 minutes, with scheduled departure at 10:30 am, actual being 5 min later, and arrival at 02:40 pm with actual being 20 min early. My seat was 61K, which I had pre-reserved by checking in online. B-LBE, a 6 month old A330-300 was the aircraft. With surety I can say that I eagerly look forward to flying on Cathay Pacific again, and hopefully that flight comes around sooner than later. There is a return flight trip report to look forward to of course! But, no harm in another CX TR sometime in the future, right? Thanks for watching! Overall the flight was very enjoyable, unnotable in a good way. While not flashy, their offering is well thought out. The staff were attentive but also left you to get on with things if you wanted. 8/10.

To Hong Kong, on Skytrax Best Airline 2014 winner, Cathay Pacific from Kuala Lumpur. This was a very nice flight on Cathay Pacific which I enjoyed very much!
For this afternoon flight, flying time was 4 hrs and 10 minutes, with scheduled departure at 10:30 am, actual being 5 min later, and arrival at 02:40 pm with actual being 20 min early. My seat was 61K, which I had pre-reserved by checking in online.
B-LBE, a 6 month old A330-300 was the aircraft.
With surety I can say that I eagerly look forward to flying on Cathay Pacific again, and hopefully that flight comes around sooner than later. There is a return flight trip report to look forward to of course! But, no harm in another CX TR sometime in the future, right?

Cathay Pacific Airways CX935 Hong Kong to Manila Ninoy Aquino *Full Flight*
Hi everybody, this is part two of my journey from Tokyo to Manila. This leg was operated by a Boeing B777-300ER, and I was very fortunate to be blessed with Cathay Pacific's Spirit of Hong Kong livery, affectionately known as the flying cucumber by the crew. In addition to the beautiful livery, I was also able to experience Cathay Pacific's latest economy class product which is undoubtably one of the best in the skies right now, making this 2 hour journey feel like nothing. Too add to the bucket full of goodies, this trip took place during the afternoon which left us with a jaw dropping view of the sunset over the Pacific Ocean which made me disappointed that I was traveling solo on this trip without special company ;) Oh well... Cathay Pacific First and The Pier CX846 Hong Kong to New York JFK
Enjoy Cathay's gorgeous lounge The Pier, which offers a sit down restaurant with great food and drink offerings. There are shower rooms, massage rooms, a bar, a snack room all manned by a great staff. Cathay's first class might not be suites but with only 6 seats it might as well be. If you are traveling with someone, seats are large enough to sit two people, but it might be a squeeze. The A side are perfect for privacy as the middle seats open towards the K side, so you won't have anyone walking by you besides the crew. Cathay's legendary service is truly top notch. On a side note, I noticed on flightaware.com that at one point our flight exceeded 1000mph thanks to the jet stream -

Here is the second leg of this long journey to Beijing, the new Economy class aboard the A330-300 of Cathay Pacific for the flight CX312 from Hong Kong to Beijing. I'm editing now the next report. Have a nice week! After this very long journey from France to Beijing I've found the Cathay Pacific service very good, as the catering. The economy seats are comfortable. The IFE offer a great experience of entertainment with a good selection of movies, TV shows, and music! The delay was well managed by Cathay Pacific and his crew were very professional to manage it. Even if this is usual in China I don't understand why they don't use bigger aircraft for less flight ? They could use B747 instead of A333 for this route. Hey guys, sorry for the lack of activities on this channel. I was busy doing my A Level examinations which I only recently just finished, and I decided afterwards that I would make a quick trip to Manila to visit my friends who live there and to get my mind off of life! My choice of carrier this time was Cathay Pacific Airways because of their very cheap air fares, but also their high standards which made for an extremely comfortable journey. Cathay Pacific Flight Review: CX736 Singapore to Hong Kong
Cathay Pacific Airways morning flight CX736 from Singapore to Hong Kong on the B777-300 aircraft. It was a very lovely flight with nice views enroute. The flight was rather full in Economy Class but the nice cabin crew kept the passengers comfortable and well-hydrated. The hard-shell fixed back seat of this regional aircraft fleet was an interesting experience. It was uncomfortable at first but when reclined at an angle, it became less uncomfortable. Flight date: 26/07/2015 As it's the time for summer holiday, I'm on a flight to Hong Kong then another to Manila. I'm staying there for three weeks and a bit then coming back to the usual. Review comments: Service was excellent as expected from a five star airline but some of the flight crew don't smile at times. They don't provide toothbrushes and hair combs. The IFE is a five star and the screen is touchscreen which helps. There's great legroom and great economy seats. The food was really nice but my sister said the food presentation made her loose her appetite because everything was right next each other. The landing was rough. Here is the second leg of this long journey to Beijing, the new Economy class aboard the A330-300 of Cathay Pacific for the flight CX312 from Hong Kong to Beijing. I'm editing now the next report. Have a nice week!
After this very long journey from France to Beijing I've found the Cathay Pacific service very good, as the catering. The economy seats are comfortable. The IFE offer a great experience of entertainment with a good selection of movies, TV shows, and music! The delay was well managed by Cathay Pacific and his crew were very professional to manage it. Even if this is usual in China I don't understand why they don't use bigger aircraft for less flight ? They could use B747 instead of A333 for this route. So that was a really good experience on board Cathay Pacific's new economy class flight to Beijing.

This flight happened in April 2015. Unfortunately a very big cold front stretched all the way from
Japan to the South of China. The weather was gray, miserable and (unusually) chilly - so no views
of Hong Kong or Tokyo Bay.
However, we did not encounter any serious turbulence, which you would normally expect around Japan.
At the beginning of the video you will see some impressions of Tokyo, including the Shinjuku Gyoen Park,
Ginza shopping district, Yurakucho Metro Line, Tokyo Station, Shinkansen and the Narita Express.
At Narita Airport our Cathay Pacific flight was delayed by about 40 minutes, because a Chinese tour group happen to turn
up too late boarding due to the late arrival of connecting flight. Moreover, they bags were loaded too late.
After landing in Hong Kong I made my way towards my final destination Guangzhou. I went to the HKG SkyPier Terminal,
took the ferry over the Shekou Port in Shenzhen, then went by taxi to Shenzhen North Railway Station. Finally
a Chinese high speed train drove me to Guangzhou South Railway Station.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of activities on this channel. I was busy doing my A Level examinations which I only recently just finished, and I decided afterwards that I would make a quick trip to Manila to visit my friends who live there and to get my mind off of life! My choice of carrier this time was Cathay Pacific Airways because of their very cheap air fares, but also their high standards which made for an extremely comfortable journey. Luckily for me aboard this sector, it was operated by one of Cathay's last 3 passenger Boeing B747-400s which are to be retired this summer, marking an end of a 3 decade long legacy. Despite Cathay's B747s not being upgraded to the new 2015 cabins, the previous economy cabin is still extremely comfortable with very wide seats, plenty of legroom, 110v power ports and a large HD screen TV, which made the overall experience very pleasent and took my mind off the fact that I spent 9 hours travelling between Tokyo and Manila. For years I have been wanting to visit the Far East. The furthest east I have ever travelled is LCA (Larnaca) in Cyprus, so to get the opportunity to visit Hong Kong, Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo all in the space of a fortnight I naturally couldn't say no!
The first flight consisted of flying LHR-HKG for the first part of the trip, aboard Cathay Pacific Airways CX238. I had chosen this flight for price but also arrival time. We could have a lay in in the morning on our departure day, and also arrive in the morning to catch the remainder of the day in Hong Kong. The flight however was delayed by over an hour due to a late arriving aircraft (which wasn't really that late in arriving...) however the crew spent the entire flight profusely apologising so it made up for it.
The flight was good. Food was excellent. You wouldn't think that Pasta & Lemon Crumble would taste good, but it really does - it tastes exactly like you can imagine it. Don't knock it until you've tried. I'm also remarkably surprised that free peanuts were given out on board - its been years since I've encountered that. Naturally I scoffed as many as I could.
For connecting passengers it was incredibly handy as connecting flight information was displayed on the IFE during our arrival into HKG so they knew exactly what gate to head to. I think this only happens on arrival into HKG as on arrival to KIX and LHR later in the flight no such message was displayed.

Some fantastic cloud formations and cloud surfing on the approach into HKG. Due to thunderstorms in the vicinity we were advised to hold off the coast which created some beautiful footage.

As it's the time for summer holiday, I'm on a flight to Hong Kong then another to Manila. I'm staying there for three weeks and a bit then coming back to the usual.
Review comments:
Service was excellent as expected from a five star airline but some of the flight crew don't smile at times. They don't provide toothbrushes and hair combs. The IFE is a five star and the screen is touchscreen which helps. There's great legroom and great economy seats. The food was really nice but my sister said the food presentation made her loose her appetite because everything was right next each other. The landing was rough. OVERAL RATING: service 9/10 amenities 6/10 seating 9 and a half/10 food 9 and a half /10 IFE 10/10 Overall 9/10
