Powerful Weight Loss Benefits of Cinnamon and Other Natural Ingredients
http://healthnutritionnews.org/cinnamon-weight-loss-benefits Powerful Weight Loss Benefits of Cinnamon and Other Natural Ingredients Most people have heard about cinnamon's health and weight loss benefits and by adding it to a diet can be beneficial to overall health. Unfortunately, the cinnamon found in most spice cabinets isn't made from cassia and does not provide the health benefits indicated. However there are ways to get Cinnamomum Cassia, and other natural ingredients into a diet plan for added weight loss. Cinnamomom cassia is a potent extract harvested from Indonesian cinnamon bark that has been shown to effectively assist in managing blood sugar after a carbohydrate-rich meal. Unlike the store-bought cinnamon mentioned earlier, Cinnamomum Cassia is the exact same highly-potent cinnamon extract used in clinical research Another natural ingredient is a rare plant alkaloid called Berberine, which has been used for centuries in medicine by healers in India. Berberine works slightly differently, by improving the signaling between insulin and its associated receptors while also increasing glucose uptake by skeletal muscle not fat. The third ingredient, Pterocarpus (tero-carp-us) Marsupium, is another all-natural herbal remedy used by physicians in India. This ingredient reduces blood sugar levels 2 hours after a meal by a whopping 21%. Remember, lower blood sugar levels mean lower body fat levels and greater health Next up is one of the most unique, exotic blood sugar management ingredients I've ever come across, (hydro-ice-o-lu-seen) (also known as 4HI). This natural phytochemical, extracted from the Fenugreek herb harvested in the remote regions of Eastern India, has been scientifically shown to increase glycogen storage while decreasing fat storage. Or, more simply stated, 4-hydroxyisoleucine helps to move blood sugar into muscles for use as energy, rather than that same sugar ending up as belly fat. Again, insulin resistance is the #1 factor contributing to carbohydrate intolerance, excess blood sugar and body fat problems, so a 51% reduction in insulin resistance increases weight-loss successes. Lastly, we have R-Alpha-Lipoic-Acid or simply R-ALA. R-ALA was clinically shown to increase insulin sensitivity by an impressive 25% in just 4 weeks. So, what does all of this mean? It means that with the help of these 5 research backed ingredients, the body's most critical carbohydrate and bloodsugar-managing hormone, insulin, is working to help achieve weight loss goals. The end result? The body burns more fat, in less time, all while dramatically improving overall health and enjoying plenty of delicious carbohydrates in the process. At this point, I'm sure you're probably wondering where you can get your hands on these 5 unique ingredients and what specific extracts of each you should be taking, along with how much of each to take and when... and that's where we've made it really easy for you. Plant ID: Camphor Tree (Cinnamomum camphora)
Plant ID: Camphor Tree (Cinnamomum camphora)
Genus: Cinnamomum Species: camphora Family: LAURACEAE Common name: Camphor Laurel, Camphor Tree Plant type: Evergreen Origin: Japan, China, Taiwan and neighbouring islands. Many know the Camphor Laurel as a noxious plant. It is very aggressive and can be harsh on neighbouring plants close by. Has a notable vigorous root system. This tree can look harmless enough when it is young, but left to grow and it will usually develop into a beast. Its seeds are spread easy and find their way into many habitats. It's not uncommon to see this tree treated as a weed/invasive plant. It should come as no surprise that the Camphor tree is a hardy tree that can handle harsh conditions and abuse. Very tolerant to poor soils and air pollution, etc. This tree is long lived. Habit/Form: A thin tree as it first grows with plenty of roots and slender dome to match its size. Ages to usually a thick trunk with broad dome. Usual adult tree has a short massive scaly-barked trunk. Usually evenly furrowed throughout the trunk and branches. Has a notable vigorous root system and its seeds from its berries are spread easily. Leaves: Alternate, ovate/elliptic, almost a smooth tear-drop with a minor wave. New growth pale pink (sometimes shiny pink-red) fading to lettuce/light green then aging to dark glossy green. Some leaved can turn red before falling off. Can be mistaken for a deciduous tree because it drops leaves while new ones grow in spring, sometimes giving it the appearance of being bare. Flowers: Uneventful 4-5mm white stellate (thin-long starfish shape all connecting to a centre) in leaf axis. Fruit: Has large amounts of a single seeded fleshy berry (drupe) on slender stalks starting out green and then aging to black when ripe.- published: 11 Jan 2014

Cinnamon plants are grown as bushes. When the plants are of two years age, they typically measure at about 2 meter in high and 8-12 cm at the base. It is at this stage they are ready for harvesting. Origin and Distribution Cinnamomum verum is mostly cultivated in Sri Lanka, Malagasy Republic and Seychelles. It has originated in the central hills of Sri Lanka. In India, it is grown in one or two locations in Kerala. Cinnamon is a hardy plant and is cultivated in Sri Lanka under varying conditions ranging from semi dried to wet zone conditions. The ideal temperature for growing cinnamon is between 20-30 degree C and rainfall between 1250 to 2500 mm. It thrives well as a forest tree at 300-350 meter above MsL. Uses The commercial products of cinnamon are quills, quillings, featherings, chips, cinnamon bark oil and cinnamon leaf oil. 'Quills' are scraped peel of the inner bark of the mature cinnamon shoots, joined together with overlapping tubes, the hollow of which has been filled with smaller pieces of cinnamon peels which is dried first in the sun and thereafter in the shade. 'Quillings' are broken pieces and splits of all grades of cinnamon quills. 'Featherings' are feather like pieces of inner bark consisting of shavings and small pieces of bark left over. Cinnamon 'chips' are rough unpeelable barks scraped off from the thicker stems. Cinnamon leaf and bark oil are obtained by distilling the leaf and bark separately. Cinnamon bark is a popular spice with a delicate fragrance and a warm agreeable taste. It is used in the form of small pieces or powder. It is widely used in flavouring confectionary, liquors, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. It is found to help diabetics in digestion of sugar. It has astringent; stimulant and carminative properties and can check nausea and vomiting. The cinnamon bark oil has anti-fungal properties and cinnamon leaf oil is widely used in perfumery and cosmetics Web: http://www.natureherbs.org Blog: http://natureherbsorg.blogspot.in/ Email : natureherbs@ymail.com, sales@natureherbs.org Mob: +91 841 888 5555 Skype: nature.herbs- published: 25 Dec 2013
