Louie Louie

"Louie Louie" is an American rhythm and blues song written by Richard Berry in 1955 and best known for the 1963 hit version by the Kingsmen. It has become a standard in pop and rock, with hundreds of versions recorded by different artists. The song was originally written and performed in the style of a Jamaican ballad. It tells, in simple verse–chorus form, the first-person story of a Jamaican sailor returning to the island to see his lady love.

The Kingsmen's edition was the subject of an FBI investigation about the supposed but nonexistent obscenity of the lyrics, an investigation that ended without prosecution. Ironically, the song notably includes the drummer yelling "Fuck!" after dropping his drumstick at the 0:54 mark.

"Louie Louie" has been recognized by organizations and publications worldwide for its influence on the history of rock and roll. A partial list (see "Recognition and rankings" table below) includes the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Grammy Hall of Fame, National Public Radio, VH1, Rolling Stone, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Recording Industry Association of America. In addition to new versions appearing regularly on YouTube and elsewhere, other major examples of the song's legacy include the unsuccessful attempt in 1985 to make it the state song of Washington, the celebration of International Louie Louie Day every year on April 11, the annual Louie Louie Parade in Philadelphia from 1985 to 1989, the LouieFest in Tacoma from 2003 to 2012, and the ongoing annual Louie Louie Parade and Festival in Peoria.

Louis Tomlinson

Louis William Tomlinson (born Louis Troy Austin; 24 December 1991) is an English pop singer and songwriter, and actor, known as a member of the boy band One Direction.

Tomlinson began his career as an actor, initially appearing in ITV drama Fat Friends as an extra. He also went on to appear in another ITV drama film If I Had You and the BBC drama Waterloo Road. In 2010, he became a founding member of the One Direction which went on to finish third in the 2010 series of The X Factor. In 2013, he was signed as a footballer by Doncaster Rovers of the Football League Championship on a non-contract basis. In 2014, he attempted to jointly purchase Doncaster Rovers, but the deal fell through when the crowdfunding part of the deal failed.

Bleta "Bebe" Rexha (born August 30, 1989; Albanian pronunciation: [blɛta bibi ɾɛd͡ʒa]) is an American singer and songwriter. She is best known for being featured on the singles "Take Me Home" by Cash Cash, "Hey Mama" by David Guetta and for singing "Me, Myself & I" in duet with G-Eazy. She started her career as the lead vocalist of the American band Black Cards created by Pete Wentz, and co-wrote the number-one US Billboard Hot 100 song "The Monster" by Eminem featuring Rihanna.

Early life and education

Bleta Rexha was born on August 30, 1989, in Brooklyn, New York City, to ethnic Albanian parents, who emigrated to the U.S. in the 1980s. Her father is from Debar and her mother is from Gostivar in the Republic of Macedonia. Her real name Bleta means Bumble Bee in Albanian, that's where her nickname Bebe comes from. Rexha began her approach to music at the age of 4, and continued to pursue her love for music through Tottenville High School on Staten Island, taking part in musicals such as Hello, Dolly!, Jesus Christ Superstar and Fiddler on the Roof. She was inspired by musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Tori Amos, John Legend, and The Temptations. Rexha earned the "Best Teen Songwriter" at The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences's annual New York "Grammy Day" event, that allowed her the opportunity to meet many prominent music producers.
