In the last episode, Jace tries to understand what happened with his father, while the rest of the Shadowhunters try and figure out how to help Isabelle. The Clave finally gets the Mortal Cup. Isabelle is not happy with how the Clave acted with her and Jace and Clary find out some startling news. In this week’s episode, titled ‘Malec’, Jace struggles with the news of being Valentine’s son while Alec struggles with whether or not to marry Lydia.
With the wedding day coming, Magnus decides to put his focus in trying to get Alec to see that he doesn’t love Lydia but that he has feelings for him. Too bad Alec is to head over heels with trying to do ‘what’s right’. Lydia knows that Alec has feelings for Magnus but doesn’t care because she wants to help him please his family. Magnus is not one to take no for an answer, she crashes the wedding and he gets what he wants. He gets Alec. Don’t think that his parents will be happy with him dating a Downworlder.
Awkward doesn’t begin to explain the way Clary and Jace are now. There is tension between the two of them and Jace is not helping. He tries to ignore what happened and Clary wants to talk about it. Good news though is by the end of the show Jace and Alec make up.
For Shadowhunter news, Ragnor becomes the target for their investigation. Magnus inserts himself in the case and tries to help them with Ragnor. He offers them his help but he doesn’t make it as he gets taken out. And Jace thinks that Lydia is the one that caused his death. Turns out he was right.
Magnus figures out who has the book but it’s not somewhere they will have easy access to. Camille has it and she is going to be less then helpful considering that Clary got the vampires to turn on her. Wonder what Jace is going to do to ‘convince her’. In the next episode, it’s the spring finale and Jace struggles with the darkness in him as one of their own betray them.
