“
Roommates” was created within the project “I-CARE — InterCulture
Against Racism in Europe”.
The play “Roommates” is the first step of the three-year project “I-CARE - InterCulture Against Racism in Europe”. Under the artistic direction of renowned choreographer and breakdancer Youngung
Sebastian Kim aka Jaekwon young artists from three countries have worked together in an international residency to develop and rehearse this performance
. In the coming years, they will continue this work in
Italy and
Lithuania.
Dancers, singers, actors, media artists and a live band intertwine their artistic languages. The diversity within the cast provides for colliding perspectives from different corners of
Europe. Through the plot they negotiate a part of common way:
We are all “Roommates” in a Europe that is increasingly determined by migration and globalisation.
