As promised, here's my Botox video showing my face before and after I got injected, as well as the daily progression showing how it works after you get it. What a difference, right!?! Holy moly! This is why I love Botox! :) Let me know if you have any questions.

This is about to get real people...
I'm so sick of seeing girls (and guys!) jumping on a trend of lip injections only to have terrible results by shitty, money hungry doctors. I got my first injections when I was 22 in Chicago "for fun" and didn't have a good experience. At that time I got cosmoplast which was an injectable gel and it lasted all of 2 months before disappearing. I did like the look but waited several years to do it again. I then tried juvederm a few years ago at Premier Dermatology in St. Louis and fell in LOVE. I did a ton of research before and was recommended to go see Dr. Jeffrey Reed from a makeup client. I just received my third juvederm injection from him and decided to film it with his consent. My last juvederm lasted over a year and a half and would have lasted longer but I was home and wanted to go ahead and get it now, so he only used half a syringe otherwise it would look fake and stupid.
Botox: I use the best skincare in the world and I'm super happy with my skin. I started getting botox 1-2 times a year 2 years ago as a preventative measure and only in 2 spots on my forehead (now 3 spots). This is not a replacement for a good skincare routine. Botox immobilizes the muscles that contract and cause wrinkles. I'm almost 30 and don't have any YET and that isn't due to botox in 2 places, it's due to good skincare, a healthy diet of antioxidants and sunscreen! Invest in the best!
Here is what you should know since no one seems to want to talk about the real facts:
-COST-
Botox ranges from 10-20 a unit but $12 is what I pay. I usually only get 6 units which is laughably low (most people get 60+ units), but went for 8 units this time (2 under the brow).
Juvederm ranges from $500-550 for one syringe. Of course there are groupons and living social's for this but do you REALLY want to get discount injections in your FACE? You get what you pay for. I paid $500 this time since I got botox with it. My doctor only used half of the syringe so he saves it up to a year so I can come back and get the rest.
I did not get any of these services for free (I WISH) and am only promoting my doctor because he is seriously amazing and tells you NO. If you live in the St. Louis or midwest area (or LA!) I highly recommend him.

This is what botox looks like, in real life. On me. In HD! You can see the effects for yourself. However, this is not an advert for BOTOX. Botox is not something to be taken lightly. I have had botox for 9 years now and i do not look a day younger than my age. So getting this in the hope that it will make you look “younger” is a mistake. Also, botox has many side effects in the wrong hands. DO NOT go to botox parties or anyone that you cannot see proof of the work or anyone that is not a registered dermatologist. This is very important. I have never ever gone to anyone but a registered dermatologist and never would.

What does it do:
An injection procedure that genuinely works to eliminate expression lines and minor wrinkles due to the effect it has on muscles that control facial movement. Migraine and headache treatment.
What is it?
Botox is short for the botulinum toxin, type A. When injected into specific muscles it prevents movement through partial and almost complete paralysis of those muscles. The inability to use certain facial muscles causes certain wrinkles to disappear completely.
Side effects?
allergic reactions, rash, itching, headache, neck or back pain, muscle stiffness, difficulty swallowing, shortness of breath, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, weakness, injection site reactions (muscle weakness, bruising, bleeding, pain, redness, or swelling), fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, flu symptoms, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, ringing in your ears, and increased sweating in areas other than the underarms. Drooping of the eyelid (ptosis), inflammation of the cornea (keratitis), eye dryness, itchy eyes, double vision, tearing, and sensitivity to light, and eyelid swelling or bruising may occur when used for treating blepharospasm.
I have never had any bad reactions apart from Spoke eyebrow and a botox headache (once). This headache lasted about 3 days and was not pleasant.
For me its a great way to prevent my migraine headache and also allow the wrinkles at the side of my eyes and forehead to “vanish”.
If are you tempted to try botox please understand all the risks and only ever see a registered dermatologist or doctor with years of experience and whom you can see the results.
In the right hands botox is perfectly safe and very effective. In the wrong hands it can cause serious complications.

As you can see in this botox pictures, botox involves injecting your face with a fluid that relaxes your muscles. That is of course based on what my research shows. If you're going to get a botox procedure done, you should know the side effects and risks involved.

Botulinum toxin is a protein and neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Botulinum toxin can cause botulism, a serious and life-threatening illness in humans and animals. When introduced intravenously in monkeys, type A (Botox Cosmetic) of the toxin exhibits an LD50 of 40–56 ng, type C1 around 32 ng, type D 3200 ng, and type E 88 ng[citation needed]; these are some of the most potent neurotoxins known. Popularly known by one of its trade names, Botox, it is used for various cosmetic and medical procedures. Botulinum can be absorbed from eyes, mucous membranes, respiratory tract or non-intact skin.
Justinus Kerner described botulinum toxin as a "sausage poison" and "fatty poison", because the bacterium that produces the toxin often caused poisoning by growing in improperly handled or prepared meat products. It was Kerner, a physician, who first conceived a possible therapeutic use of botulinum toxin and coined the name botulism (from Latin botulus meaning "sausage"). In 1897, Emile van Ermengem found the producer of the botulin toxin was a bacterium, which he named Clostridium botulinum. In 1928, P. Tessmer Snipe and Hermann Sommer for the first time purified the toxin. In 1949, Arnold Burgen's group discovered, through an elegant experiment, that botulinum toxin blocks neuromuscular transmission through decreased acetylcholine release.

I got my first injections when I was 22 in Chicago "for fun" and didn't have a good experience. At that time I got cosmoplast which was an injectable gel and it lasted all of 2 months before disappearing. I did like the look but waited several years to do it again. I then tried juvederm a few years ago at Premier Dermatology in St. Louis and fell in LOVE. I did a ton of research before and was recommended to go see Dr. Jeffrey Reed from a makeup client. I just received my third juvederm injection from him and decided to film it with his consent. My last juvederm lasted over a year and a half and would have lasted longer but I was home and wanted to go ahead and get it now, so he only used half a syringe otherwise it would look fake and stupid.
Botox: I use the best skincare in the world and I'm super happy with my skin. I started getting botox 1-2 times a year 2 years ago as a preventative measure and only in 2 spots on my forehead (now 3 spots). This is not a replacement for a good skincare routine. Botox immobilizes the muscles that contract and cause wrinkles. I'm almost 30 and don't have any YET and that isn't due to botox in 2 places, it's due to good skincare, a healthy diet of antioxidants and sunscreen! Invest in the best!
Here is what you should know since no one seems to want to talk about the real facts:
-COST-
Botox ranges from 10-20 a unit but $12 is what I pay. I usually only get 6 units which is laughably low (most people get 60+ units), but went for 8 units this time (2 under the brow).
Juvederm ranges from $500-550 for one syringe. Of course there are groupons and living social's for this but do you REALLY want to get discount injections in your FACE? You get what you pay for. I paid $500 this time since I got botox with it. My doctor only used half of the syringe so he saves it up to a year so I can come back and get the rest.
I did not get any of these services for free (I WISH) and am only promoting my doctor because he is seriously amazing and tells you NO. If you live in the St. Louis or midwest area (or LA!) I highly recommend him.

Botox is short for the botulinum toxin, type A. When injected into specific muscles it prevents movement through partial and almost complete paralysis of those muscles. The inability to use certain facial muscles causes certain wrinkles to disappear completely.
Side effects?
allergic reactions, rash, itching, headache, neck or back pain, muscle stiffness, difficulty swallowing, shortness of breath, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, weakness, injection site reactions (muscle weakness, bruising, bleeding, pain, redness, or swelling), fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, flu symptoms, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, ringing in your ears, and increased sweating in areas other than the underarms. Drooping of the eyelid (ptosis), inflammation of the cornea (keratitis), eye dryness, itchy eyes, double vision, tearing, and sensitivity to light, and eyelid swelling or bruising may occur when used for treating blepharospasm.
I have never had any bad reactions apart from Spoke eyebrow and a botox headache (once). This headache lasted about 3 days and was not pleasant.
For me its a great way to prevent my migraine headache and also allow the wrinkles at the side of my eyes and forehead to “vanish”.
If are you tempted to try botox please understand all the risks and only ever see a registered dermatologist or doctor with years of experience and whom you can see the results.
In the right hands botox is perfectly safe and very effective. In the wrong hands it can cause serious complications.

This is what botox looks like, in real life. On me. In HD! You can see the effects for yourself. However, this is not an advert for BOTOX. Botox is not something to be taken lightly. I have had botox for 9 years now and i do not look a day younger than my age. So getting this in the hope that it will make you look “younger” is a mistake. Also, botox has many side effects in the wrong hands. DO NOT go to botox parties or anyone that you cannot see proof of the work or anyone that is not a registered dermatologist. This is very important. I have never ever gone to anyone but a registered dermatologist and never would.
