Here is a station ID montage from
KTBS 3, the
ABC affiliate for
Shreveport, LA and the Arklatex. All copyrights acknowledged.
KTBS is a locally owned station, owned by the Wray family of
Shreveport. The first ids are from
1986 and feature the 3 logo that was in use until the mid
1990s. Included are the mid 80s
Late Late Show and
Television Three the
Big Movie openings/bumpers. 8:38 features the 3
News The Gulf War update from
1991, and 11:23 features the 90s logo and “
On Your Side” moniker, which accompanied the popular “
Palmer News
Package.” In
1996, the station updated its logo to the version very similar to the one seen today and updated its news theme to “
Millennium 3,” which used the Palmer News signature. 19:07 features footage with this logo. 21:10 features the modern KTBS logo, which is similar to the 1996 one minus the ABC logo with footage mostly from
2005. 35:30 features the modern
2015 era-motif. KTBS’s subchannel usage is similar to
WBRZ, the locally owned ABC affiliate in
Baton Rouge, with using one subchannel to broadcast news repeats and another to broadcast weather radar; the only
difference is that KTBS’s sister station,
KPXJ, broadcasts numerous networks, including the CW,
Antenna TV,
Movies!, and Me-TV, while WBRZ’s sister station,
WBTR/
KBTR mostly airs repeats of WBRZ’s newscast with occasional footage from This TV.
