Pythons are large constrictors and became very popular reptiles in the US pet trade during the late eighties but the mass importation has led to serious ecological problem in South Florida. The small python hatchlings out grow fast their initial setup cage and reaching eight foot in length within three years. Many pet owners no longer wish to care for their snake(s) and some people even decided to release their pythons back into the wild. During Hurricane Andrew, a mass escape of reptiles, including thousands of burmese pythons, from their exotic importers took place in 1992.
Many pythons escaped into the swamps of the Everglades with its perfect subtropical climate and vast food sources. These snakes began to thrive, resulting in a permanent breeding population of Burmese Pythons in South Florida. But also the African Rock Python has established a breeding population in Florida and many other species of pythons, such as the Reticulated Python can be found occasionally. Pythons spend the majority of their time hidden in the underbrush. They are nocturnal, ambush predators, feeding meanly on mammals, birds and other reptiles, including alligators and crocodiles. It has been observed that these constrictors turn into opportunistic feeders as well and do not hesitate to devour road kill or other dead animals they come across. In fact, some pythons have learned that road are not just a place to warm their body during the night but a perfect location for catching an easy meal.
A hungry adult python stalks its prey with fast forward movements, its head slightly elevated and tongue flickering, picking up the sent particles of possible prey near by. When a possible prey animal is detected the attack is swift with a strike and a bite to the neck, coiling around the prey’s body, tighter and tighter until it eventually dies of asphyxiation. The python starts mostly feeding on the dead animal head first mostly but it has been observed that very often pythons will swallow their prey alive. The feeding can take up to an hour depending on the size of the prey. Eaten Alive was filmed by Heiko Kiera aka Ojatro in South Florida in 2014.

Want to know how to remove the black background for your stock footage elements? I show you a number of different ways - all easy - for how you can achieve that in Adobe After Effects.
You can either set the blend mode to 'Screen' or 'Add', but this will only work for fire or explosions. For smoke, blood or darker elements that technique will simply not work as it will make the element look very transparent.
Another technique is to use the Linear Color Key effect in After Effects to remove the black background. You can use the Matching Tolerance and Matching Softness properties to control how much of the background colour is removed.
Finally, if the stock footage element has been shot against a green or blue screen you can use the Keylight effect in Adobe After Effects to remove it cleanly.

3. Set the In and Out points so that only the smoke puff is selected
4. Export the smoke puff. Now it's ready to be used!

Stock footage, and similarly, archive footage, library pictures and file footage are film or video footage that may or may not be custom shot for use in a specific film or television program.[vague] Stock footage is of beneficial use to filmmakers as it is sometimes less expensive than shooting new material. A single piece of stock footage is a "stock shot" or a "library shot". Stock footage may have appeared in previous productions but may also be outtakes or footage shot for previous productions and not used. Examples of stock footage which might be utilized are moving images of cities and landmarks, wildlife in their natural environments and historical footage. Suppliers of stock footage fall into two categories; rights-managed and royalty-free. Many websites offer direct downloads of clips in various formats, both compressed and uncompressed.
Stock footage companies began to emerge in the mid-1980s, offering clips mastered on Betacam SP, VHS and film formats. Many of the smaller libraries that specialized in niche topics such as extreme sports, technological or cultural collections were bought out by larger concerns such as Corbis or Getty Images over the next couple of decades.

Plot: Columbia's 54th serial production (of 57) finds long-time villain player Marshall Reed top-billed for the first and last time in his film career that stretched across over 130 westerns, 17 serials and 23 features (TV credits and duplicated/changed-for-TV titles not included) and, thanks to liberal use of stock footage from prior Columbia westerns and serials, a player such as Jack Kirk makes an appearance six years after his 1948 death. The primary stock footage source for this serial was 1940's "Deadwood Dick" with Reed in his alter-ego role as "The Ridin' Terror" costumed to match Don Douglas or, to be more precise, the Don Douglas double from the 1940 serial. Reed plays a clean-shaven version of famous hunter and Indian scout Bill Cody who comes to the aid of miner Rocky Ford when outlaws attack his ranch. Rocky tells Cody that the man behind the local terrorism is King Carney who is trying to keep the new railroad out of the territory in order to carry on with his illegal operations. Rocky asks Cody to don the disguise of a legendary masked man (no, not that one), known as "The Ridin' Terror", who once before smashed outlaw rule in the area, which makes good sense since the opening chapter title is "The Ridin' Terror From St. Joe", which doesn't make sense since the short name for Saint Joseph, Missouri is St. Jo, but what the hey, it is a Sam Katzman production which means typo's are not re-written, just the plots. Cody enlists the aid of settlers Reb Morgan and his sister Ruth, dons the recycled "Deadwood Dick" costume and rides his way right out of stardom at the end of the 15th chapter, "Law Comes to the West."

How To Remove Black Background From Stock Footage in After Effects
Want to know how to remove the black background for your stock footage elements? I show you a number of different ways - all easy - for how you can achieve that in Adobe After Effects. You can either set the blend mode to 'Screen' or 'Add', but this will only work for fire or explosions. For smoke, blood or darker elements that technique will simply not work as it will make the element look very transparent. Another technique is to use the Linear Color Key effect in After Effects to remove the black background. You can use the Matching Tolerance and Matching Softness properties to control how much of the background colour is removed. Today I simply talk about the benefits of using stock footage. Obviously it's not ideal, but it's saved my butt before! All you gotta do is add your own effects to it!

Pythons are large constrictors and became very popular reptiles in the US pet trade during the late eighties but the mass importation has led to serious ecological problem in South Florida. The small python hatchlings out grow fast their initial setup cage and reaching eight foot in length within three years. Many pet owners no longer wish to care for their snake(s) and some people even decided to release their pythons back into the wild. During Hurricane Andrew, a mass escape of reptiles, including thousands of burmese pythons, from their exotic importers took place in 1992.
Many pythons escaped into the swamps of the Everglades with its perfect subtropical climate and vast food sources. These snakes began to thrive, resulting in a permanent breeding population of Burmese Pythons in South Florida. But also the African Rock Python has established a breeding population in Florida and many other species of pythons, such as the Reticulated Python can be found occasionally. Pythons spend the majority of their time hidden in the underbrush. They are nocturnal, ambush predators, feeding meanly on mammals, birds and other reptiles, including alligators and crocodiles. It has been observed that these constrictors turn into opportunistic feeders as well and do not hesitate to devour road kill or other dead animals they come across. In fact, some pythons have learned that road are not just a place to warm their body during the night but a perfect location for catching an easy meal.
A hungry adult python stalks its prey with fast forward movements, its head slightly elevated and tongue flickering, picking up the sent particles of possible prey near by. When a possible prey animal is detected the attack is swift with a strike and a bite to the neck, coiling around the prey’s body, tighter and tighter until it eventually dies of asphyxiation. The python starts mostly feeding on the dead animal head first mostly but it has been observed that very often pythons will swallow their prey alive. The feeding can take up to an hour depending on the size of the prey. Eaten Alive was filmed by Heiko Kiera aka Ojatro in South Florida in 2014.

Want to know how to remove the black background for your stock footage elements? I show you a number of different ways - all easy - for how you can achieve that in Adobe After Effects.
You can either set the blend mode to 'Screen' or 'Add', but this will only work for fire or explosions. For smoke, blood or darker elements that technique will simply not work as it will make the element look very transparent.
Another technique is to use the Linear Color Key effect in After Effects to remove the black background. You can use the Matching Tolerance and Matching Softness properties to control how much of the background colour is removed.
Finally, if the stock footage element has been shot against a green or blue screen you can use the Keylight effect in Adobe After Effects to remove it cleanly.

Instructions on how to use stock footage at end of vid:

4. Export the smoke puff. Now it's ready to be used!

The eastern indigo snake is carnivorous, like all snakes, and will eat any other small animal it can overpower. This powerful predator has been known to kill its prey by wildly beating it against nearby objects. Its diet has been known to include other snakes, including venomous ones such as water moccasins and rattlesnakes, as it is immune to the venom of the North American rattlesnakes. Eastern indigo snakes also feed on turtles, lizards, frogs, toads, a variety of small birds, mammals as well as eggs.
The eastern indigo snake has an even blue-black coloration, with some specimens having a reddish-orange to tan color on the throat, cheeks, and chin. This snake received its name from the glossy iridescent blackish-purple sheen it displays in bright light. This smooth-scaled snake is considered to be the longest native snake species in the United States. Mature male indigo snakes are slightly larger than females, measuring less than 8.0 ft, whereas a mature female typically measures around 6.0 ft in length.
As defensive behavior the eastern indigo snake vertically flattens its neck, hisses, and vibrates its tail. Nevertheless, Indigo snakes are usually not aggressive towards human and If picked up, they seldom bite.
It often will cohabit with gopher tortoises in their underground burrows, although it will settle for armadillo holes, hollow logs, and debris piles when gopher tortoise burrows can't be found. Hunters, hoping to flush out rattlesnakes, often wind up accidentally killing indigo snakes when they illegally pour gasoline into the burrows of gopher tortoises (a practice referred to as "gassing"), even though the tortoises themselves are endangered and protected.
Humans represent the biggest threat to indigo snakes. Highway fatalities, wanton killings, and overcollection for the pet trade adversely affect indigo snake populations. Snakes are taken illegally from the wild for the pet trade.

Greece is pressing ahead with plans to start deporting migrants and refugees back to Turkey next week, despite mounting concern from the United Nations and human rights organizations that Syrians could be denied proper protection while some are allegedly even being forced back into their war-torn country ... The operation would see migrants and refugees who arrived on Greek islands after March 20 put on boats and sent back to Turkey....
