Group Sales and Reservations

Smithsonian's Group Sales and Reservations department offers groups of 10 or more discounts to restaurants, IMAX theaters, the Einstein Planetarium, paid exhibitions and attractions. Payment required 72 hours prior to visit!

Group Menus

Group dining packages are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner at restaurants in the following Smithsonian museums. In addition to 3 square meals, the Smithsonian also offers Ice Cream Socials and Wine and Cheese Happy Hours just for groups! Bulk IMAX Tickets

Need some flexibility? Groups can also purchase bulk tickets to the IMAX Theater, good for any daytime educational show before the expiration date.

Minimum order of 10 (no comps). No reserved seating. Vouchers expire 9/24/16. Unused 2016 vouchers can be exchanged for 2017 vouchers. To qualify for exchange, Smithsonian Group Sales and Reservations office must receive unused vouchers no later than 9/23/16.

Title I Outreach

Discounted IMAX tickets are available for Title I schools.

Minimum of 40 people. Restrictions apply. Proof of Title I status must accompany order.

IMAX On Demand

Arrange a special morning screening with our IMAX and Planetarium On Demand packages. Choose from any of the films in our IMAX and Planetarium Adventure Library, and screen the film before the museum doors open to the public.

IMAX and Planetarium On Demand screenings are offered for groups of 20 or more (40 for Title I schools) every morning around 9:15 a.m. (start times vary based on location). Minimum 1-week notice is required to book dates and choice of films are subject to availability.

Fly jet-age combat sorties, perform 360-degree barrel rolls and engage in air-to-air combat for a hands-on experience thousands of feet above ground.

Groups of 10 or more receive $1 off ticket prices, with one complimentary ticket per 20 purchased.

 

 

Butterfly + Plants: Partners in Evolution

Stroll among live butterflies and exotic plants! This tropical oasis offers visitors a rare opportunity to get close to living butterflies from all over the world.

Tickets are timed-entry in 15-minute intervals, 40 tickets per timeslot. Groups of 10 or more receive discounts on ticket prices and one complimentary ticket per 20 purchased.

 

 

Ride beside history! Prepared in consultation with Smithsonian experts. this premiere Segway tour highlights the architecture, art, culture, and history of Washington, DC's National Mall and many of Smithsonian's famed museums. Hear the many stories behind DC's landmarks and most famous national treasures on this three hour tour. Covering over 1,000 acres of the National Mall and Memorial Parks, this is DC's only tour that departs directly from the Mall at the National Museum of American History. Must be at least 16 years old to participate. (Min. weight 100lbs, max 260lbs).
