Janam ("Birth") is a 1985 Hindi film directed and written by Mahesh Bhatt. It is one of the autobiographical films Bhatt created in the early part of his career.
Janam was created after Mahesh Bhatt's acclaimed films Arth (1982) and Saaransh (1984), and established Mahesh Bhatt as a promising new director of the Indian film industry, long before he ventured into his more commercial endeavours.
This film was followed by other films with similar themes from Bhatt's personal life, including Naam (1986), Zakhm (1998) and Woh Lamhe (2006), films for which he provided the story.

Now Madhu is pregnant again and Raja is reluctant to send her to any hospital. She does give birth to a baby boy, but tragically passes away. Raja and Veeru undertake to look after the child, who they name, Vijay. Raja pampers and spoils him to the point of smothering him with his love and devotion, so much so when Vijay grows up he has mental capacity of a child, and is nicknamed "Left Right" by collegians. Then one day Vijay meets Janam and everything changes for him, both fall in love with each other, and Vijay stands up for himself and becomes a man. When the time comes to get married to Janam, Raja opposes this marriage as he wants Vijay to get married to Principal Mehra's daughter, Kiran. Vijay, who is unable to get Janam out of his mind, goes to meet her, and that's when he gets the shock of his life - for Janam is not who she claims to be - but is actually a prostitute by the name of Reshma.

Tu parles comme un homme
A croire que dans la vie
T'as tout appris
Jeune homme
Tu parles comme un homme
A croire que t'as tout vu
Que t'as tout lu
Jeune homme
Tu parles comme un homme
A voir tes poings fermés
