President Silva Kiir and

United Nations (UN) bases in the city.
The UN Refugee Agency (
UNHCR) and the
International Organization for Migration (
IOM) arrived at the base in Thomping and spoke with some of the displaced by the conflict in the persons, most of who are women and children.
The majority of displaced fled their homes between Sunday and Monday and stressed the need for an urgent humanitarian intervention to provide shelter, food and water.
