Crysis begins in 2020 when North Korean forces led by General Ri-Chan Kyong take control of the Lingshan Islands. A team of American civilian archaeologists, led by Dr. Rosenthal, send out a distress call indicating that they have discovered something that could change the world. Thus Raptor Team is dispatched to the islands, with the core mission of evacuating them and securing any valuable information that they have. The team consists of Nomad, Psycho, Aztec, Jester and team leader Prophet (all under code names); they are outfitted with Nanosuits, which help protect them from gunfire and explosions, as well as giving them superhuman strength and abilities.

== Important Notes ==
I have been for a long time on the CryEngine as well as the second, and I have completely been able to stabilize the laggy and hard-to-run CryEngine 2 by many tweaking and the correct software. Also, I do not lack the high-end hardware so that's of course the crucial aspect which makes me possible to run Crysis so smooth. It is important to know:
* 1) All unnecessary programs running in the background should be disabled. Not just processes, but also services and such. Take Gamebooster for example (It's free: http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html)
* 2) Shaders, MSAA and Vertical Sync are by far the only options which create a distinct lack of performance. Consider to lower them if you have any lagg.
* 3) Update everything, and defragmentation is necessary for optimal performance!

My walkthrought videos of Crysis are very heavy, and of superb quality. Personally, I think these video are one of the highest quality on Youtube to find for Crysis, but they are all around 1.8gig to 2gig. So plz pay watch your downloads on 1080p for the best and lagg-free video quality!

A chance to revisit the atmospheric island setting of the last great PC-exclusive classic, Crysis, with maximum visual settings and Delta difficulty level.
Released in November 2007, Crysis still sets the standard for other PC games in terms of graphics and gameplay. Almost every type of advanced visual and physics effect is available in the game. Similarly, the enemy AI, the weapons, the interactivity with the game world, and the nanosuit itself, along with a whole range of small touches mean that no two playthroughs are ever the same.
Only now in 2010 do most people have the hardware to truly appreciate this game with decent visuals, and indeed only with the latest generation cards can we run the game at maximum settings smoothly, with even a bit of antialiasing thrown in to boot while keeping very playable framerates.
Retail version of Crysis is used with 1.2.1 Patch, Delta difficulty level, running in DX10 at 1920x1200, all settings to maximum (Very High), and 4x Antialiasing applied within the game.
No mods have been added to the game. The only additional tweaks used in my System.cfg file are:
con_restricted=0
r_texturesstreaming=0
r_TexMaxAnisotropy=16
Along with +r_width 1920 +r_height 1200 +r_fullscreen 1 in the launch icon's command line to force 1920x1200 fullscreen resolution upon launch.

Crysis is a science fiction first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek (Frankfurt, Germany), published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, and released in November 2007. It is the first game of a trilogy. A separate game entitled Crysis Warhead was released on September 12, 2008, and follows similar events as Crysis but from a different narrative perspective.Crysis, Crysis Warhead and a multiplayer expansion called Crysis Wars were re-released as a compilation pack titled Crysis Maximum Edition on May 5, 2009. At the time Crysis was released, and years thereafter, it has been praised for its milestones in graphical design (commensurate with high hardware requirements).
The game is based in a future where a massive ancient space alien-constructed structure has been discovered buried inside a mountain on an island in the fictional Lingshan Islands, near the coast of the East Philippines. The single-player campaign has the player assume the role of US Army Delta Force operator Jake Dunn, referred to in-game by his call sign, Nomad. Nomad is armed with various futuristic weapons and equipment, most notably a "Nano Suit" which was inspired by a real-life military concept. In Crysis, the player fights both North Korean and extraterrestrial enemies in various environments on and around the island.

Retail version of Crysis is used with 1.2.1 Patch, Delta difficulty level, running in DX10 at 1920x1200, all settings to maximum (Very High), and 4x Antialiasing applied within the game.
No mods have been added to the game. The only additional tweaks used in my System.cfg file are:
con_restricted=0
r_texturesstreaming=0
r_TexMaxAnisotropy=16
Along with +r_width 1920 +r_height 1200 +r_fullscreen 1 in the launch icon's command line to force 1920x1200 fullscreen resolution upon launch.
