S.A ex-police officers were training party's security -
NPP
The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has explained that the three former
South African police officers arrested for allegedly training a group of young men on weapon handling among others were working for the party.
Deputy Communications Director of the NPP,
Perry Okudzeto, told
Pulse.com.gh that the three were training security guards for the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate,
Nana Akufo-Addo, and his running mate Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia.

Zanetor's plea thrown out
An
Accra High court has thrown out a motion for the dismissal of the case challenging the eligibility of the
NDC elected parliamentary candidate for the Klottey Korle constituency Dr Zanetor
Rawlings. According to the court, the motion was also premature at this stage of the trial and also lacked merit.
Today's ruling is the second set back to Dr. Zanetor Rawlings to quickly bring the matter to an end as a similar motion was also dismissed for the same reasons a couple of weeks ago.
Ghana buys
Easter power from
Ivory Coast
Ghana is to import power form Ivory Coast to augment its power supply following the shutdown of the
FPSO Kwame Nkrumah and reduction in gas supply from the
West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo).
Officials of
Volta River Authority (
VRA) and the power ministry were in Ivory Coast over the weekend to negotiate for extra power supply.
The Chief Executive Officer of the VRA,
Kirk Coffie, said Ivory Coast is willing to help and that over the weekend, they gave Ghana enough power.
