Members of the Islamic movement in Kano have again came out in Mass this Thursday 17th December, 2015 to protest the continued detention of Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob El Zakzaky (H) and many of his followers who's state of health are yet to be known despite having various categories of injuries.
Protesters chanted their demand for an immediate release of Shaikh Zakzaky (H) voicing out they have legimate right on their religion while denouncing the barbaric atrocities of the Nigerian army and the silence of President Muhammadu Buhari.
They also reiterated their stand to remain on this noble path even if it will lead to their killing.
After the march Mal Sunusi Abdul Kadir made a closing speech reminding followers that we have been foretold by Allah through his Noble Messenger that who so ever remain on this part will be tested of which we are eye witness. He also said staying resolute and exercising restraint and been patience on any calamity is one of the most difficult situation one may face and not carrying weapons. If this noble part is one that has been taught to carry weapons and kill the army would not have been able to face members of the Islamic movement, we remain resolute by saying no to tyranny and will always be demanding the release of our leader Shaikh Zakzaky!!!

Ibrahim Zakzaky
Ibrahim Yaqoub El Zakzaky (alternately Ibraheem Zakzaky; Ibrahim Al-Zakzaky) (born May 5, 1953) is a Shi'a Muslim cleric in Nigeria, and head of Nigeria's Islamic Movement (IMN). In 2015 Zakzaky was injured and arrested by the army. His whereabouts are unknown.
Personal life
Ibrahim Zakzaky was born on 5 May 1953 (15 Sha’ban 1372 AH), in Zaria, Kaduna State. He is married to Zeenah and with whom he had six children.
Early career
Zakzaky attended the Provincial Arabic School, Zaria (1969-1970), Law School (now the School for Arabic Studies), Kano (1971-1975) and the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria (1976-1979). He became the secretary-general of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) in the Main Campus of ABU (1977/78) and later Vice President (International Affairs) of the National Body of the MSSN in 1979.

Dr Iqbal Siddiqui described El-Zakzaky as "the de facto leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria".

Protesters chanted their demand for an immediate release of Shaikh Zakzaky (H) voicing out they have legimate right on their religion while denouncing the barbaric atrocities of the Nigerian army and the silence of President Muhammadu Buhari.
They also reiterated their stand to remain on this noble path even if it will lead to their killing.
After the march Mal Sunusi Abdul Kadir made a closing speech reminding followers that we have been foretold by Allah through his Noble Messenger that who so ever remain on this part will be tested of which we are eye witness. He also said staying resolute and exercising restraint and been patience on any calamity is one of the most difficult situation one may face and not carrying weapons. If this noble part is one that has been taught to carry weapons and kill the army would not have been able to face members of the Islamic movement, we remain resolute by saying no to tyranny and will always be demanding the release of our leader Shaikh Zakzaky!!!
