The House of Dancing Water”, Jesko is at the heart of masterful storytelling in his magical shows. In this “behind-the-scenes” introduction to the artistic process that goes behind world-renowned spectacles, Jesko explains the importance of telling meaningful stories that go beyond a cliché.
Jesko von den
Steinen is an actor, performer, choreographer, filmmaker and creative designer, and currently a principal artist at “The House of Dancing Water”, the world’s largest water-based show created by the
Franco Dragone Entertainment Group and held at the
City of Dreams in
Macau.
Trained in a wide variety of theatrical disciplines spanning dance, contemporary circus arts, acting and corporeal mime at prominent institutions around the globe, Jesko toured for five years as the solo clown and principal character in the
Cirque du Soleil’s “Saltimbanco”, performing throughout
North and South America,
Europe and
Asia. He has taught
Master classes alongside
Philippe Gaulier, and Jean-Jacques Lemêtre of
Théâtre du Soleil, and shared his expertise in acting and composition with
The University of
Sao Paulo,
Béjart Rudra Ballet, the
International Olympic Committee, Cirque du Soleil,
The National theatre
School of
Spain in
Sevilla.
In addition to the performing arts, Jesko has also directed short films for
Canada’s Bravo-fact TV, and worked as a creative-strategist in
Montreal, using his experience as a storyteller and theatre practitioner to integrate the performing arts into experiential advertising and events.
