Terror (album)

Terror ~Hakuri~ (剥離) is the 18th studio album by the Japanese band Loudness. It was released only in Japan, in January 2004. The album is one of the heaviest released by the band, and was created with a theme of horror and terror. This theme is also reflected in the album artwork. The band display influences from Black Sabbath, and the album overall has a doom metal type sound.

Spanish destroyer Terror

Terror was a Furor-class destroyer of the Spanish Navy that fought at San Juan, Puerto Rico during the Spanish-American War.

Technical Characteristics

Terror was built in the United Kingdom by Thomson, (which would rename itself Clydebank Engineering & Shipbuilding Co. the following year). Her keel was laid on 9 February 1896, she was launched on 28 August 1896, and she was completed on 20 November 1896. She had three funnels. In the parlance of the day, she was a "torpedo boat destroyer", designed to protect larger ships against torpedo boat attack, but also carrying torpedoes with which to attack larger ships herself.

Operational history

As tensions between Spain and the United States grew in early 1898, Terror was part of the Spanish Navy's 1st Squadron, commanded by Vice Admiral Pascual Cervera y Topete. The squadron was ordered to concentrate at São Vicente in Portugal's Cape Verde Islands. Accordingly, Terror, in company with Cervera's flagship, armored cruiser Infanta Maria Teresa, armored cruiser Cristobal Colon, and destroyers Pluton and Furor, departed Cadiz on 8 April 1898 and arrived at São Vicente on 14 April 1898. The ships had experienced mechanical problems and burned an excessive amount of coal during the voyage. Soon, the squadron was reinforced by two more armored cruisers, Vizcaya and Almirante Oquendo.

Terror (Bottom)

"Terror" is the second episode of the third series of British television sitcom, Bottom. It was first broadcast on 13 January 1995.

Synopsis

The episode begins in the flat's kitchen, where Richie is at the stove cooking a sausage that is on fire as Eddie brings in the morning paper. They both are disappointed to learn that they didn't win the paper's "Spot the Ball" competition, and Richie mistakes Eddie's questions about breakfast for sexual innuendo ("How's your sausage?" "Maybe we should eat our flakes." "Can I drink your juice?"). Eddie then goes to answer a knock at the front door, and is greeted by three boys dressed in devil costumes playing trick or treat. When he fails to give them any sweets, they "trick" him by ramming a toy trident into his crotch. Realising that it is Halloween, Richie forms a plan; he and Eddie will go trick-or-treating to raise money for a party which will feature, in Richie's words "lots of booze and drugged-up babes, shaggy-shaggy-shag!" They go down to the local costume shop, and Richie returns wearing a woman's devil outfit, while Eddie ends up dressed up in a giant banana costume. To make sure that people give them money, Richie asks Eddie to bring along an electric cattle prod which they have somehow obtained; unfortunately, when he tries to use it the electricity arcs back and causes Richie's bowels to loosen, ruining one of his three pairs of tights.

The Immortal (video game)

The Immortal, known as Wizard of the Immortal (ウイザード オブ イモータル, Uizādo obu Imōtaru) in Japan, is an isometric adventure game originally created for the Apple IIGS, which was ported to the Amiga, Atari ST, MS-DOS based PCs, NES, and Mega Drive/Genesis. The main plot revolves around a wizard attempting to find his mentor in a large and dangerous labyrinth.

The game is known for its high degree of graphic violence (much reduced in the NES version) along with its punishing difficulty.

The music for Apple IIGS version was made by Douglas Fulton. On some conversions, Rob Hubbard and Michael Bartlow are credited.

Development

Will Harvey had started development on an Apple II game to be called Campaign, intending it to be an online multiplayer RPG. As the story developed, it became a single player game only.

Story

The game begins with the player in control of an unnamed wizard. In the first room, the player is given the option of viewing the image of the character's mentor, another wizard named Mordamir. He is calling for help from deep below in the labyrinth, though he is attempting to communicate to another man named Dunric.

Immortal (Michael Jackson album)

Immortal is a remix album of music originally recorded by American recording artist Michael Jackson, and featuring The Jackson 5/The Jacksons, released on November 21, 2011 by Epic Records. The album is a soundtrack to Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour, which debuted on October 2, 2011 in Montreal.

Background and release

On October 3, 2011, Sony Music Entertainment announced that over 40 of Jackson's original recordings were redesigned and reimagined by the Justin Timberlake and Rihanna producer Kevin Antunes throughout a year-period work in the studio with original multi-track master recordings. Hence it's expected that Immortal will continue a similar mixing production to the soundtracks to previous Cirque du Soleil's shows: 2006's Love, with the remixed music of The Beatles (to the show of the same name), and 2010's Elvis Presley-themed remix soundtrack Viva Elvis (to the show of the same name).

Being released by Epic Records in conjunction with estate of Michael Jackson,Immortal features an alternative version of The Jackson 5 song "ABC", as well as a series of mashups and remixes such as a choir-assisted rendition of "They Don't Care About Us". Despite over 60 songs had been used for the stage show, the album release will be available as a 20-track album or a deluxe 27-track album only.

History

The band was founded in 2005 by Ryan Lietru, Mike Reynolds, David Morrison, Matt Tyler and Jon Lauters. Lauters and Tyler (who later became known as Madison Skylights) left the band soon after, and were replaced by Mattie Montgomery (formerly of Besieged) and Brennan Schaeuble. Schaeuble was replaced by Ryan's brother Brandon. On April 1, 2008, they released their first studio album, produced by Facedown Records, Ekklesia, a term from Greek and is a self-designation of the first Christians that you wanted to express their faith. On May 8, 2008 appeared from said album of the most successful titles - Agape - also known as video. Their second album, Portraits, was released on June 9, 2009, on the same label, and peaked at No. 15 of the Billboard Christian albums chart. Different biblical personalities are portrayed on the album: Old Testament prophet Ezekiel, Joel, Elijah and Isaiah, and the Pharisee Nicodemus, Zacharias, Saul (later Paul) of Tarsus and Immanuel (Jesus). The last song of the album, "Talmidim" - designation for followers of a rabbi, here are probably the disciples of Jesus, that all Christians meant) - deals with the Bible verse Ezekiel 36:26-28.
