Description:
These animals seemingly look like characters out of a comic book, cartoon, or a movie. The animals you are about to see are completely unique amongst their own species and force us to reevaluate what we consider to be normal and part of the usual crowd.
As the world becomes increasingly progressive, it seems that
Mother Nature has been struggling to adapt to the new wave of pollution along with trying to keep up with the evolution of animals. When someone sees a deformed animal, they may immediately jump to the conclusion that the animal was nearby a nuclear power plant or a location that was filled with a lot of radiation. But in reality, the mutations that you’re about to see in this video were mainly genetic and occurred before the animal was born, not after. Or, in you can even have two different cats living in the same body with a perfect seam down the middle with two different coat colors, and eye colors. One of the most historically recorded animal mutations is the winged cat.
Famous literary genius,
Henry David Thoreau provided one of the earliest accounts of the winged cat. Some of these cats do have extra appendages, but most of them just have longer fur to make it look like they have wings.
Unfortunately, given the time of the sightings, most winged cats were killed because it was believed that they were messengers of the devil.
Froggy is another bizarre animal mutation that made scientists believe that there was a grouping of frogs in one little pile, but it ended up being just one frog that was likely one egg that never split. The Octogoat is another example of a fetus fusing together with another, giving this young goat 8 legs.
Frank and Louie is a cat with two faces and one brain. Interestingly enough, many of these mutated animals were born in a litter where their brothers and sisters look completely normal. Another “mutation” is the pink dolphin, which isn’t really pink at all.
Instead, the pink dolphin is actually albino and gives off a pink hue.
Obviously, because they are pink, there aren’t a lot seen because they can be so easily spotted. From looking like a
Cyclops to a pig looking like a monkey, the mutations of genes can be both an exciting and frightening experience, especially if you don’t know what you’re looking at.
We are lucky to live in a time where we have science and logic to help us make sense of these bizarre animal mutations. If these mutated animals were discovered during medieval times, they were likely mistaken for some sort of religious
sign of prophecy and could have very well been harmed. But today, we can critically approach these animals and find a logical answer, all the while learning more about the capabilities that different species possess. Many of the animals in this video managed to defy odds not just in the fact that they exist, but also impressed people by the shear fact that they survived.
