In 1989, was invited to join Bolshoi Ballet under the direction of Yuri Grigorovich where he trained with such distinguished teachers and coaches as Asaf Messerer, Mikhail Lavrovsky, Yuri Vladimirov, Boris Akmov (director of Bolshoi 2001-05) and Shamil Yagudin. He tourned throughout Russia, England, France, Belgium, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Hong-Kong, Korea, Japan and the US. In 1993, Mr. Tchernychev was chosen to perform a piece from ballet "Golden Age" before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Dominion Theater in London. In December of 1994, after touring the United States, he decided to stay and has performed as a principal dancer and as a guest artist with several ballet and opera companies in Russia and the US. He has also staged and coached ballets and taught master classes in ballet schools and companies throughout the US. His principal roles include Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Coppelia, Paquita, The Nutcracker, Serenade, Carminda Burana and others. Critics have praised his dancing for its energy and "thrilling masculine style". At the Youth America Grand Prix Competition in 2005, Mr. Tchernychev received "Outstanding Choreography" award for the "Prokofiev Variation" and in 2009, he received "Outstanding Teacher" award and has received it several times since. Also, many of his students have taken high honors and placement at Youth America Grand Prix. Mr. Tchernychev is currently Ballet Master at San Diego Ballet as well as a teacher at San Diego School of Ballet. Scout Forsythe Bio: Trained by Maxim Tchernychev in San Diego. Danced with San Diego Ballet Company. Scout is currently a member of the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company and prior to that was a National Training Scholar for The American Ballet Theatre. Dance: Started ballet classes at the age of 11 at the Performing Arts Workshop, Encinitas. 2008-009. Trained with Maxim Tchernychev in San Diego 2009-currently. Scout has attained the top level in her class. Competitions: 2011- Youth America Grand Prix Regional Top 12 Classical, 1st Place Contemporary, Finalist Junior Youth America Grand Prix New York. 2012- Youth America Grand Prix Grand Prix Award, Regional. 1st place PDD. 2013- Youth America Grand Prix Europe. 1st Place Classical, 1st Place Contemporary in Women's Senior Division.
