My wife and I took a Bahamas Cruise on Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas to celebrate our 18yr anniversary. We stopped at Nassau and CocoCay. Unfortunately, on Day 1 at Nassau, we went snorkeling and the housing to my GoPro Hero3+ Black leaked and destroyed my GoPro so I didn't get to capture much of the Islands. I now have a reason to upgrade to the GoPro Hero4 Silver.

This is Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas. It is very well done with activities for the whole family. I think that its nicer than the place that they have in the Caribbean in Labadee, Haiti

Snorkeling CocoCay is amazing! When in CocoCay you NEED to go snorkeling!
CocoCay is Royal Caribbean's own island in the Bahamas... Formerly know as Little Stirrup Cay.
CocoCay has AMAZING snorkeling with viz being 100+ ft. The snorkeling area includes two makeshift ship wrecks and two makeshift plane wrecks.
We live in South Florida and snorkel / scuba every week. We both agree CocoCay offers some of the best snorkeling we've ever done.
For $32 (for the day), guests can rent mask, snorkel, fins and vest to explore the crystal blue waters.
CocoCay requires EVERYONE to wear a vest. Netalia (advance open water) and I (rescue diver) brought our own snorkeling gear, but rented vests ($6)......instead of inflating, we sucked the air out of them!
Snorkeling CocoCay is a must if you're on Royal Caribbean! Make sure to explore under the lifeguard stands, too.

Located some 50 miles from Nassau is the secluded and private tropical island of CocoCay. We visited CocoCay off Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas. We enjoyed a wonderful day in paradise relaxing on the beaches, exploring the Aqua Park and swinging on hammocks amidst scenic, tropical foliage.

Cay
A cay (/ˈkiː/ or /ˈkeɪ/), also spelled caye or key, is a small, low-elevation, sandy island on the surface of a coral reef. Cays occur in tropical environments throughout the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans (including in the Caribbean and on the Great Barrier Reef and Belize Barrier Reef).
Formation and composition
A cay forms when ocean currents transport loose sediment across the surface of a reef to a depositional node, where the current slows or converges with another current, releasing its sediment load. Gradually, layers of deposited sediment build up on the reef surface. Such nodes occur in windward or leeward areas of reef where surfaces sometimes occur around an emergent outcrop of old reef or beach rock.
The island resulting from sediment accumulation is made up almost entirely of biogenic sediment – the skeletal remains of plants and animals – from the surrounding reef ecosystems. If the accumulated sediments are predominantly sand, then the island is called a cay; if they are predominantly gravel, the island is called a motu.

CocoCay is Royal Caribbean's own island in the Bahamas... Formerly know as Little Stirrup Cay.
CocoCay has AMAZING snorkeling with viz being 100+ ft. The snorkeling area includes two makeshift ship wrecks and two makeshift plane wrecks.
We live in South Florida and snorkel / scuba every week. We both agree CocoCay offers some of the best snorkeling we've ever done.
For $32 (for the day), guests can rent mask, snorkel, fins and vest to explore the crystal blue waters.
CocoCay requires EVERYONE to wear a vest. Netalia (advance open water) and I (rescue diver) brought our own snorkeling gear, but rented vests ($6)......instead of inflating, we sucked the air out of them!
Snorkeling CocoCay is a must if you're on Royal Caribbean! Make sure to explore under the lifeguard stands, too.
