Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, including in the U.S. Since the 9/11 terror attacks, Islam has seen a burst of growth with more than 1,200 mosques being built. From 1990-2000, around 12.5 million more people converted to Islam than to Christianity. In fact, the number of Muslims in the U.S. after 9/11 more than doubled.
With average citizens turning towards Islam, famous celebs have also come forward, admitting to the belief in Allah.
Here is a list of celebrities you probably didn’t know are Muslim.
10. Janet Jackson
The former pop star made headlines when she converted to Islam to marry her Arab fiance. Jackson reportedly left the music industry because of these demanding beliefs, since Islam doesn’t take too kindly to music, dancing, or the female form on display.

Chappelle told Time Magazine, “I’m a Muslim, I don’t necessarily practice the way a good Muslim is supposed to practice but I believe in these tenants.” The comedian allegedly left his controversial show because of his religious beliefs.

Host of “The Dr Oz Show,” Dr. Mehmet Oz was born to Turkish parents. He adopted a form of Sufism from his father’s devout following.

This is a very personal video so please be respectful in your comments. Stories about how people converted really helped me through some of the dark times over the years. I had to hide such a huge part of myself – I learned in secret, prayed in secret and I wore the hijab in secret. I lived in constant fear of someone I know seeing me and telling my parents or my family finding the Qur’an and my other books about Islam in my room. It was exhausting to have all that stress and hearing converts speak about their stories made me feel less alone. Inshallah this video can do the same for other people out there who are in need of strength and just someone to tell them they are not alone. In addition, I mentioned in the video how I am a beauty guru and this channel was mainly all about beauty and makeup. I have very loving and supportive subscribers and I owe them an explanation as to why my channel has been re-named and why I look different. My appearance may have changed but I am still Sam!! Only now my appearance on outside reflects my true self on the inside!!! I don’t have to hide anymore!!!
My biggest advice to other converts/reverts out there who might be in a similar situation that I was in is to surround yourselves with people who truly care about you and support you. I was immensely blessed to have Tanzim and his family, Nouran, the Hammadeh Family and all my other friends to support me during such a stressful and challenging time in my life. I don’t know how I can ever repay these wonderful people back but I do know that I have the rest of my life to try and repay them for the unconditional love and support they blessed me with. Mat and Danielle spent their first date bonding over Lloyd Kahn’s book “Home Work” and discussing their ideas for simplifying their lives. They became a couple, but “somewhere along the way, we ended up doing the exact opposite of what we wanted,” explains Danielle on their blog.
“Instead of simplifying, we bought a house and spent months hauling furniture, paint and knick knacks into it to surround ourselves with stuff that we liked. Our bills went up so we got better jobs, started working more, and eventually all we did was work during the day and watch Netflix every night because we were too exhausted to do anything else.”
“Mat was the first to suggest making a change because he found our lifestyle stressful, but I resisted at first. I was really caught up in the idea of owning my own place, maybe starting a family one day and planning for an amazing retirement. I was also excited that I had a new full time job with benefits and that we were financially stable. Eventually I realized that all I was doing was working and I didn’t even like my job anymore. We decided that we should do something crazy: sell our house, quit our jobs and travel the world.”
Today, Mat and Danielle are living full-time in a converted van. Their back seat folds down into a bed. Their kitchen is a cooler plus camping stove. Their bathroom includes a solar camping shower and a plastic bottle toilet (with funnel).
They’ve eliminated a mortgage, but their are still costs, what Mat calls “like renting a really cheap apartment in a city”. Instead of paying down a house, Mat and Danielle have decided to focus on working less and experiencing more, both by exploring the world and their artistic interests: for Mat, it’s music and art and for Danielle it’s writing.

Religious conversion is the adoption of a new religion that differs from the convert's previous religion. Changing from one denomination to another within the same religion (e.g., Christian Baptist to Methodist or Catholic,Muslim Shi'a to Sunni, etc.) is often described as conversion.
People convert to a different religion for various reasons, including: active conversion by free choice due to a change in beliefs,secondary conversion, deathbed conversion, conversion for convenience and marital conversion, and forced conversion.
Conversion or reaffiliation for convenience is an insincere act, sometimes for relatively trivial reasons such as a parent converting to enable a child to be admitted to a good school associated with a religion, or a person adopting a religion more in keeping with the social class he or she aspires to. When people marry one spouse may convert to the religion of the other.
Forced conversion is adoption under duress of a different religion. The convert may secretly retain the previous beliefs and continue, covertly, with the practices of the original religion, while outwardly maintaining the forms of the new religion. Over generations a family forced against their will to convert may wholeheartedly adopt the new religion.

Zakir Abdul Karim Naik (Urdu: ذاکر عبدالکریم نائیک; born 18 October 1965) is an Indian public speaker on the subject of Islam and comparative religion. He is the founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), a non-profit organisation that owns the Peace TV channel based in Dubai, UAE. He is sometimes referred to as a televangelist. Before becoming a public speaker, he trained as a doctor. He has written two booklets on Islam and comparative religion. He is regarded as an exponent of the Salafi ideology; he places a strong emphasis on individual scholarship and the rejection of "blind Taqlid", which has led him to repudiate the relevance of sectarian or Madh'hab designations, all the while reaffirming their importance.
Zakir Abdul Karim Naik was born on 18 October 1965 in Mumbai, India. He attended St. Peter's High School in Mumbai. Later he enrolled at Kishinchand Chellaram College, before studying medicine at Topiwala National Medical College and Nair Hospital and later the University of Mumbai, where he obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). His wife, Farhat Naik, works for the women's section of the IRF.

Mat and Danielle spent their first date bonding over Lloyd Kahn’s book “Home Work” and discussing their ideas for simplifying their lives. They became a couple, but “somewhere along the way, we ended up doing the exact opposite of what we wanted,” explains Danielle on their blog. “Instead of simplifying, we bought a house and spent months hauling furniture, paint and knick knacks into it to surround ourselves with stuff that we liked. Our bills went up so we got better jobs, started working more, and eventually all we did was work during the day and watch Netflix every night because we were too exhausted to do anything else.” “Mat was the first to suggest making a change because he found our lifestyle stressful, but I resisted at first. I was really caught up in the idea of owning my own place, maybe starting a family one day and planning for an amazing retirement. I was also excited that I had a new full time job with benefits and that we were financially stable. Eventually I realized that all I was doing was working and I didn’t even like my job anymore. We decided that we should do something crazy: sell our house, quit our jobs and travel the world.” Today, Mat and Danielle are living full-time in a converted van. Their back seat folds down into a bed. Their kitchen is a cooler plus camping stove. Their bathroom includes a solar camping shower and a plastic bottle toilet (with funnel). They’ve eliminated a mortgage, but their are still costs, what Mat calls “like renting a really cheap apartment in a city”. Instead of paying down a house, Mat and Danielle have decided to focus on working less and experiencing more, both by exploring the world and their artistic interests: for Mat, it’s music and art and for Danielle it’s writing. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, including in the U.S. Since the 9/11 terror attacks, Islam has seen a burst of growth with more than 1,200 mosques being built. This is a very personal video so please be respectful in your comments. Stories about how people converted really helped me through some of the dark times over the years. I had to hide such a huge part of myself – I learned in secret, prayed in secret and I wore the hijab in secret. I lived in constant fear of someone I know seeing me and telling my parents or my family finding the Qur’an and my other books about Islam in my room. It was exhausting to have all that stress and hearing converts speak about their stories made me feel less alone. Inshallah this video can do the same for other people out there who are in need of strength and just someone to tell them they are not alone. In addition, I mentioned in the video how I am a beauty guru and this channel was mainly all about beauty and makeup. I have very loving and supportive subscribers and I owe them an explanation as to why my channel has been re-named and why I look different. My appearance may have changed but I am still Sam!! Only now my appearance on outside reflects my true self on the inside!!! I don’t have to hide anymore!!!
My biggest advice to other converts/reverts out there who might be in a similar situation that I was in is to surround yourselves with people who truly care about you and support you. I was immensely blessed to have Tanzim and his family, Nouran, the Hammadeh Family and all my other friends to support me during such a stressful and challenging time in my life. I don’t know how I can ever repay these wonderful people back but I do know that I have the rest of my life to try and repay them for the unconditional love and support they blessed me with. Thank you

Mat and Danielle spent their first date bonding over Lloyd Kahn’s book “Home Work” and discussing their ideas for simplifying their lives. They became a couple, but “somewhere along the way, we ended up doing the exact opposite of what we wanted,” explains Danielle on their blog.
“Instead of simplifying, we bought a house and spent months hauling furniture, paint and knick knacks into it to surround ourselves with stuff that we liked. Our bills went up so we got better jobs, started working more, and eventually all we did was work during the day and watch Netflix every night because we were too exhausted to do anything else.”
“Mat was the first to suggest making a change because he found our lifestyle stressful, but I resisted at first. I was really caught up in the idea of owning my own place, maybe starting a family one day and planning for an amazing retirement. I was also excited that I had a new full time job with benefits and that we were financially stable. Eventually I realized that all I was doing was working and I didn’t even like my job anymore. We decided that we should do something crazy: sell our house, quit our jobs and travel the world.”
Today, Mat and Danielle are living full-time in a converted van. Their back seat folds down into a bed. Their kitchen is a cooler plus camping stove. Their bathroom includes a solar camping shower and a plastic bottle toilet (with funnel).
They’ve eliminated a mortgage, but their are still costs, what Mat calls “like renting a really cheap apartment in a city”. Instead of paying down a house, Mat and Danielle have decided to focus on working less and experiencing more, both by exploring the world and their artistic interests: for Mat, it’s music and art and for Danielle it’s writing.

Had fun turning this into a club. Added a walls and more turrets in case there is another attack. But I don't think it matters, the enemies just spawn inside the area anyway. For some reason, the music on the radio isn't captured when I record gameplay so I added free youtube music. I do not own the rights to fallout 4 or any music featured in the game. 2. If the so-called Angel ever met with Muhammad, where is the verse in the Quran which proves that the meeting did occur? How could Quran be from God when the spirit did not say to Muhammad: I am Gabriel? Can you rationalize on this particular fact alone?

Why I'm no longer a Christian?
Dr Jerald Dirks is our guest on today's show, Dr. Dirks received his Bachelor of Arts (philosophy) from Harvard College in 1971, his Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School in 1974, his Master of Arts (clinical child psychology) from the University of Denver in 1976, his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in clinical psychology from the University of Denver in 1978, and his sessions program certificate in Islamic studies from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in 1998.
In 1969, he obtained his License to Preach from the United Methodist Church and was ordained into the Christian ministry (deaconate) by the United Methodist Church in 1972.
He converted to Islam in 1993 and completed the 'Umrah and Hajj in 1999.
His vocational history includes over five years teaching in American colleges and universities and over 20 years spent in the private practice of psychotherapy. In addition, he has taught at the middle school level at two different private Islamic schools and has served as the psychoeducational consultant at one private Islamic school.
Dr. Dirks is the author or co-author of over 60 published articles in the behavioral sciences (primarily in psychosomatic medicine), over 140 published articles on the Arabian horse and its history, and over 220 published articles or formal presentations on Islam, comparative religion, and private Islamic education in America.
He has lectured widely on Islam at American universities (Tabor College, University of Kansas, University of Denver, Oklahoma State University, Missouri State University, Wayne State University, University of Michigan, University of Pittsburgh, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Georgetown University), in American mosques (in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia), and at regional and national conventions of the major Islamic organizations (ISNA, ICNA, and MAS).
