You might think that Disney movies are the best films that you have ever seen. But if you are saying that, it’s because you never watched the straight to DVD sequels. Disney managed to turn their most successful movies into something terrible. But if you are curious to know what happened to our favorite characters, make sure to watch 10 Worst Straight to DVD Disney Sequels.
“The Little Mermaid” told the story of a young sea creature who was fascinated by the world of humans. She was ready to do anything to walk on the land, exchanging her voice for a pair of legs. In “The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea” Ariel’s daughter was now a human who wanted to swim in the sea. Unfortunately, fans were disappointed to watch a story that was similar to what they had already seen.
In “Pocahontas,” Disney turned the sad story of a Native American girl into a fairy tale. Many fans were already upset to see that it was far from the original story. They could have learned from their mistake, but instead, they released “Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World.” Once again, fans were upset when they learned that what truly happened to this hero was far from a love story.

Hey AMC! I watched Unthinkable with Samuel L Jackson, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Michael Sheen recently, and I just realized the film was straight-to-dvd. It had a $15 million budget and a pretty good cast, so did the people making the film know beforehand that the movie was going to be released straight-to-dvd or was it a decision in post-production? I can't imagine the cast would sign up for this movie knowing it wouldn't even be in theaters. I understand some movies are made specifically for home release, but how often do studios make a film with the intention of releasing it in theaters only to change their mind later?

Wat is er dan mooier dan dat die cd/dvd gepersonaliseerd is met een directe print. Met de PIXMA multifunctionals is dat geen probleem.

DVD
DVD ( "digital versatile disc" or "digital video disc") is a digital optical disc storage format invented and developed by Philips, Sony, Toshiba, and Panasonic in 1995. The medium can store any kind of digital data and is widely used for software and other computer files as well as video programs watched using DVD players. DVDs offer higher storage capacity than compact discs while having the same dimensions.
Pre-recorded DVDs are mass-produced using molding machines that physically stamp data onto the DVD. Such discs are a form of DVD-ROMs, because data can only be read and not written or erased. Blank recordable DVD discs (DVD-R and DVD+R) can be recorded once using a DVD recorder and then function as a DVD-ROM. Rewritable DVDs (DVD-RW, DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM) can be recorded and erased many times.
DVDs are used in DVD-Video consumer digital video format and in DVD-Audio consumer digital audio format as well as for authoring DVD discs written in a special AVCHD format to hold high definition material (often in conjunction with AVCHD format camcorders). DVDs containing other types of information may be referred to as DVD data discs.

Direct-to-video
Direct-to-video or straight-to-video (also known as direct-to-VHS, direct-to-DVD, direct-to-Blu-ray, direct-to-digital, etc.) refers to the release of a film to the public immediately on home video formats rather than a theatrical release or television broadcast. Because inferior sequels or prequels of larger-budget films may be released direct to video, references to direct-to-video releases are often pejorative. However, this belief is changing, with direct-to-video releases having become something of a profitable lifeline for independent filmmakers and smaller companies.
Reasons for releasing direct to video
A production studio may decide not to generally release a TV show or film for several possible reasons: a low budget, lack of support from a TV network, negative reviews, its controversial nature, or a simple lack of general public interest. Studios, limited in the annual number of films to which they grant cinematic releases, may choose to pull the completed film from the theaters, or never exhibit it in theaters at all. Studios then generate revenue through video sales and rentals.

Popular culture

“The Little Mermaid” told the story of a young sea creature who was fascinated by the world of humans. She was ready to do anything to walk on the land, exchanging her voice for a pair of legs. In “The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea” Ariel’s daughter was now a human who wanted to swim in the sea. Unfortunately, fans were disappointed to watch a story that was similar to what they had already seen.
In “Pocahontas,” Disney turned the sad story of a Native American girl into a fairy tale. Many fans were already upset to see that it was far from the original story. They could have learned from their mistake, but instead, they released “Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World.” Once again, fans were upset when they learned that what truly happened to this hero was far from a love story.

It had a $15 million budget and a pretty good cast, so did the people making the film know beforehand that the movie was going to be released straight-to-dvd or was it a decision in post-production? I can't imagine the cast would sign up for this movie knowing it wouldn't even be in theaters. I understand some movies are made specifically for home release, but how often do studios make a film with the intention of releasing it in theaters only to change their mind later?

Rhapsody es otra cosa………otro nivel de música y otra frecuencia de llegada con los fans…..la verdad es que sólo recuerdo en la noche del memorable concierto de Iron Maiden en enero, a otros fans que cantaran igual de fuerte y TODOS los temas….increíble….lo mejor de todo es que Chile es el único país donde ellos (y probablemente es una marca mundial) han hecho 3 conciertos en 26 horas….eso es por algo, es un importante logro de todos los que apoyaron el concierto, ya sea asistiendo y sacando plata hasta de donde no había, o corriendo la voz que Rhapsody venía, que había un recital extra, lo de los autógrafos, etc, aunque no hayan podido asistir, ya que ese apoyo es igual de importante…..grande los fans chilenos del PowerMetal!!! Rhapsody jamás se olvidará de Chile!!!
Era un tarde lluviosa y algo fría, el entorno del Teatro Providencia invitaba a la reflexión de asistir al último concierto de Rhapsody en Chile, mezcla de alegría y nostalgia, porque se sabía que los anteriores habían sido bacanes e inolvidables…la ansiedad por entrar se notaba en la presión que se hacía sobre la puerta, los que estaban adelante se deben acordar bien…….bueno, todo esto hacía olvidar la lluvia…y se notó porque algunos que entraron estaban harto pasados a lluvia(!)….un vez dentro, la espera se llenaba con la música de fondo, que muchos coreaban….algo de Dream Theater entre otras cosas…hasta que a las 20:00 hrs aproximadamente, llega el momento de la gran banda nacional Bloden-Wedd, que impresionaron a la audiencia con temas de otros discos y algo del que viene, del “Raging Planet”….antes que empezaran había algunos coreando “Rhapsody, Rhapsody” pero apenas comenzaron con el 1er tema….el silencio fue total y el respeto hacia los compatriotas fue completo, como tiene que ser….realmente no es porque sean chilenos, pero esta es una banda espectacular, claro que tienen futuro y claro que pronto darán que hablar afuera de Chile, el sonido fue impecable, la voz se escuchó muy bien y la batería sonó muy sólida… simplemente excelente! Y así se hizo notar porque fueron despedidos entre aplausos y ovación cerrada!

Era un tarde lluviosa y algo fría, el entorno del Teatro Providencia invitaba a la reflexión de asistir al último concierto de Rhapsody en Chile, mezcla de alegría y nostalgia, porque se sabía que los anteriores habían sido bacanes e inolvidables…la ansiedad por entrar se notaba en la presión que se hacía sobre la puerta, los que estaban adelante se deben acordar bien…….bueno, todo esto hacía olvidar la lluvia…y se notó porque algunos que entraron estaban harto pasados a lluvia(!)….un vez dentro, la espera se llenaba con la música de fondo, que muchos coreaban….algo de Dream Theater entre otras cosas…hasta que a las 20:00 hrs aproximadamente, llega el momento de la gran banda nacional Bloden-Wedd, que impresionaron a la audiencia con temas de otros discos y algo del que viene, del “Raging Planet”….antes que empezaran había algunos coreando “Rhapsody, Rhapsody” pero apenas comenzaron con el 1er tema….el silencio fue total y el respeto hacia los compatriotas fue completo, como tiene que ser….realmente no es porque sean chilenos, pero esta es una banda espectacular, claro que tienen futuro y claro que pronto darán que hablar afuera de Chile, el sonido fue impecable, la voz se escuchó muy bien y la batería sonó muy sólida… simplemente excelente! Y así se hizo notar porque fueron despedidos entre aplausos y ovación cerrada!

Tot dat blijkt dat er inderdaad een schietpartij is geweest.
Hij meldt het afgeluisterde gesprek direct aan de politie, maar zoals altijd gelooft de inspecteur er niets van.
Samen met zijn beste vriend Aristides en opa, gaat Wilbur zelf op onderzoek uit.
Zo ontdekken ze een verband tussen de schietpartij en een grote schilderijenroof en zo komen Q en Q nog een ander misdrijf op het spoor:

Did you watch the Academy Awards? Even if you didn't, you may have heard that a film titled "The Shape of Water," a romantic fantasy set during the Cold War, won the Best Picture award ... Of course they do ... Instead of going out to see beautifully crafted trash, gather up a handful of great films on DVD and watch them instead.
