1984 was written over 60 years ago in 1948. It portrays a stunningly accurate and frightening picture of where we are potentially heading as a global society. Despite being released as fiction, and despite the books title, its it was almost certainly based on a vision of the future that is planned, not for 1984, but for a few years later. The year 1984 was used symbolically and is significant to Orwell's secret society connection as I will explain. George Orwell (real name Eric Blair) was educated at Eton College, a well known Illuminati education center - it has produced 19 British Prime Ministers including David Cameron. While at Eton, Orwell was taught French by Aldous Huxley, it was here they became life long friends. Huxley, who was also the author of another interesting book, 'Brave New World ', introduced Orwell to the Fabian society. The Fabian society is a secret society at its core, although anyone can join, like all of these societies there are many levels of initiation (such as with the Freemasons), meaning the majority of people involved in the organization have no idea of the true agenda and carry out their roles creating a front for the fraud at the heart of the organization. George Packer (born August 13, 1960) is an American journalist, novelist, and playwright. He is perhaps best known for his writings for The New Yorker about U.S. foreign policy and for his related book The Assassins' Gate: America in Iraq.
Packer was born in Santa Clara, California.[1] Packer's parents, Nancy (née Huddleston) and Herbert Packer, were both academics at Stanford University; his maternal grandfather was George Huddleston, a congressman from Alabama.[2] His sister, Ann Packer, is also a writer. His father was Jewish and his mother was from a Christian background.[3] Packer graduated from Yale College, where he lived in Calhoun College, in 1982,[4] and served in the Peace Corps in Togo.[5] His essays and articles have appeared in Boston Review, The Nation, World Affairs, Harper's, The New York Times, and The New Yorker, among other publications. Packer was a columnist for Mother Jones and has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since May 2003.[6]
Packer was a Holtzbrinck Fellow Class of Fall 2009 at the American Academy in Berlin.
His book The Assassins' Gate: America in Iraq analyzes the events that led to the 2003 invasion of Iraq and reports on subsequent developments in that country, largely based on interviews with ordinary Iraqis. He was a supporter of the Iraq war. He was a finalist for the 2004 Michael Kelly Award.
He is married to Laura Secor and was previously married to Michele Millon.

Eric Arthur Blair (25 June 1903 – 21 January 1950), better known by his pen name George Orwell, was an English novelist and journalist. His work is marked by keen intelligence and wit, a profound awareness of social injustice, an intense opposition to totalitarianism, a passion for clarity in language and a belief in democratic socialism.
Considered perhaps the 20th century's best chronicler of English culture, Orwell wrote literary criticism, poetry, fiction and polemical journalism. He is best known for the dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949) and the allegorical novella Animal Farm (1945), which together have sold more copies than any two books by any other 20th-century author. His book Homage to Catalonia (1938), an account of his experiences in the Spanish Civil War, is widely acclaimed, as are his numerous essays on politics, literature, language and culture. In 2008, The Times ranked him second on a list of "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945".
Orwell's influence on popular and political culture endures, and several of his neologisms, along with the term Orwellian—a byword for totalitarian or manipulative social practices—have entered the vernacular.

George Packer (born August 13, 1960) is an American journalist, novelist, and playwright. He is perhaps best known for his writings for The New Yorker about U.S. foreign policy and for his related book The Assassins' Gate: America in Iraq. Packer was born in Santa Clara, California.[1] Packer's parents, Nancy (née Huddleston) and Herbert Packer, were both academics at Stanford University; his maternal grandfather was George Huddleston, a congressman from Alabama.[2] His sister, Ann Packer, is also a writer. His father was Jewish and his mother was from a Christian background.[3] Packer graduated from Yale College, where he lived in Calhoun College, in 1982,[4] and served in the Peace Corps in Togo.[5] His essays and articles have appeared in Boston Review, The Nation, World Affairs, Harper's, The New York Times, and The New Yorker, among other publications. Packer was a columnist for Mother Jones and has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since May 2003.[6] Packer was a Holtzbrinck Fellow Class of Fall 2009 at the American Academy in Berlin. His book The Assassins' Gate: America in Iraq analyzes the events that led to the 2003 invasion of Iraq and reports on subsequent developments in that country, largely based on interviews with ordinary Iraqis. 1984 was written over 60 years ago in 1948. It portrays a stunningly accurate and frightening picture of where we are potentially heading as a global society. Packer was born in Santa Clara, California.[1] Packer's parents, Nancy (née Huddleston) and Herbert Packer, were both academics at Stanford University; his maternal grandfather was George Huddleston, a congressman from Alabama.[2] His sister, Ann Packer, is also a writer. His father was Jewish and his mother was from a Christian background.[3] Packer graduated from Yale College, where he lived in Calhoun College, in 1982,[4] and served in the Peace Corps in Togo.[5] His essays and articles have appeared in Boston Review, The Nation, World Affairs, Harper's, The New York Times, and The New Yorker, among other publications. Packer was a columnist for Mother Jones and has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since May 2003.[6]
Packer was a Holtzbrinck Fellow Class of Fall 2009 at the American Academy in Berlin.
His book The Assassins' Gate: America in Iraq analyzes the events that led to the 2003 invasion of Iraq and reports on subsequent developments in that country, largely based on interviews with ordinary Iraqis. He was a supporter of the Iraq war. He was a finalist for the 2004 Michael Kelly Award.
He is married to Laura Secor and was previously married to Michele Millon.

A ses côtés : - Simon LEYS de son vrai nom Pierre RYCKMANS (et non Patrick RYCKMANS comme l'annonce Bernard PIVOT), sinologue, enseigne la littérature chinoise à Canberra, auteur de "Les habits neufs du Président Mao", et surtout de "La Forêt en Feu" qui donna lieu à une mémorable séance d'"Apostrophes" en 1983, vient de publier "Orwell ou l'horreur de la politique".- Maurice NADEAU, critique littéraire et éditeur de la Quinzaine Littéraire. Milan KUNDERA estime que pour son travail d'écrivain son exil est un enrichissement par la confrontation des deux langues. Son père était un pianiste qui jouait des compositeurs d'avant-garde, ce qui lui a donné du goût pour la modernité même à contre courant. Lui-même pour vivre a été pianiste de bar. Quand il écrit ses romans, il utilise variations et répétitions qui sont des principes de la composition musicale.Pour Simon LEYS, le thème essentiel de Milan KUNDERA porte sur la caractère mortel de la civilisation européenne.
