Audrey (1916 film)

Audrey was a 1916 American silent drama film produced by Famous Players Film Company and released through Paramount Pictures. The film stars Pauline Frederick and was directed by Robert G. Vignola. It is based on a novel of the same name about an orphan by Mary Johnston. The film is now considered lost.

Neighbours is an Australian television soap opera. It was created by Reg Watson and first broadcast on 18 March 1985. The following is a list of characters that first appeared in the soap in 2001, by order of first appearance. All characters were introduced by the show's executive producer Stanley Walsh. The 17th season of Neighbours began airing on 15 January 2001.Jess Fielding made her debut in the following month. Matt Hancock arrived in March, while his father, Evan, and Jack Scully began appearing from April. Maggie Hancock made her debut in May and Larissa Calwell arrived the following month. September saw the introduction of Tim Collins. Sandy Allen began appearing from October, while Mitch Foster followed in November. Audrey Magazine, or also known as Audrey, was an award-winning national publication covering the Asian experience, as seen from the perspective of Asian American women. Published quarterly throughout the U.S.

History

The first issue of the magazine hit newsstands in March 2003. The magazine was named after the publisher's daughter to acknowledge that many Asian American women have English names.

Audrey covered Asians and Asian Americans in popular culture, fashion and beauty trends, lifestyle and travel, as well as social and cultural issues relevant to Asians and Asian Americans. Its sister publication was KoreAm. In its 10-year history, Audrey has been an important voice, covering stories well before the mainstream media picks them up, whether it is Asian plastic surgery, an emerging Asian American talent, or the K-pop craze. The magazine has featured Asian and Asian American celebrities on its cover, including Frieda Pinto, Maggie Q and Olivia Munn. The magazine is based in Gardena, California.

Elizabeth takes its name from Elizabeth College, a small Lutheran women’s college founded in 1897 on the present-day site of Presbyterian Hospital. Elizabeth began to develop rapidly after 1902, when a trolley line was completed, and was annexed in 1907. Home of Independence Park, the first public park in the city, Elizabeth became one of the most fashionable residential areas in Charlotte in its early days. In 2006 Elizabeth had a population of 3,908.

Because much of the neighborhood was developed in the early 20th century, Elizabeth's trees have had time to mature. They now form a canopy over most of Elizabeth's residential streets. In addition, Elizabeth is more pedestrian-friendly than most Charlotte neighborhoods, businesses and residences are in close proximity, and most roads have sidewalks. The Walk Score of Elizabeth is 72, one of the highest in Charlotte (average Walk Score of 34).

The current boundaries of the Elizabeth neighborhood are, roughly, Randolph Road/4th Street to the Southwest; Independence Boulevard to the West and North; and a creek to the East. Major avenues include Elizabeth Avenue and 7th Street.
