features interviews with numerous doctors, politicians, cancer patients, and technology
experts."
My notes:
This is not my usual subject. But it should be yours. The subject is the health
risks of cell phone use. It is thorough, well documented and only as alarming as the
subject warrants.
I used my torrent search engine "BitChe" by Convivea to see if anyone was file
sharing this yet (the film was released in May 2013.) Since none was showing I am
making an initial seed. I requested my library get it. They did and this is how you see
it here.
The strongest reason I have for making the initial seed is the film's depiction of
cell phones given to infants and toddlers. It follows up with those images by saying
that the infant absorption rate is much higher than that of the tested adult subject.
Kids are given cell phones at a younger age. The documentation is coming in on what
decades long use of the devices can do and which it is best to be convinced yourselves
rather than me telling it.
The film gives hope at the conclusion for safer use of the devices.
As always, encourage your libraries to get the dvd. For those able to do it, post
the whole film to You Tube. This has not been done though there are a few short takes
for it as a promotion posted by the filmmaker Kevin Kunze.

The Cell is a 2000 science fiction psychological thriller film directed by Tarsem Singh, and starring Jennifer Lopez, Vince Vaughn and Vincent D'Onofrio.
Child psychologist Catherine Deane (Lopez) is an expert in an experimental treatment for coma patients: a virtual reality device that allows her to enter into the minds of her patients and attempt to coax them into consciousness. When serial killer Carl Rudolph Stargher (Vincent D'Onofrio) falls into a coma before the FBI can locate his final victim, Agent Novak (Vince Vaughn) persuades Deane to enter Stargher's mind and discover the victim's location. Stargher's victim is imprisoned in a cell in the form of a glass enclosure that is slowly filling with water by means of an automatic timer.
Deane enters Stargher's twisted mind, where she is confronted by both the violent and innocent parts of the killer's psyche. The innocent half shows her the abuse he suffered at his father's hands, and the birth of his pathology when he drowned an injured bird as a mercy killing. Deane attempts to nurture the innocent side of Stargher's mind, but his murderous half thwarts her at every turn.

The cell is the basic structural and functional unit of all known living organisms. It is the smallest unit of life that is classified as a living thing, and is often called the building block of life. Organisms can be classified as unicellular (consisting of a single cell; including most bacteria) or multicellular (including plants and animals). Humans contain about 10 trillion (1013) cells. Most plant and animal cells are between 1 and 100 µm and therefore are visible only under the microscope.
The cell was discovered by Robert Hooke in 1665. In 1835, before the final cell theory was developed, Jan Evangelista Purkyně observed small "granules" while looking at the plant tissue through a microscope. The cell theory, first developed in 1839 by Matthias Jakob Schleiden and Theodor Schwann, states that all organisms are composed of one or more cells, that all cells come from preexisting cells, that vital functions of an organism occur within cells, and that all cells contain the hereditary information necessary for regulating cell functions and for transmitting information to the next generation of cells.

This is not my usual subject. But it should be yours. The subject is the health

I used my torrent search engine "BitChe" by Convivea to see if anyone was file
sharing this yet (the film was released in May 2013.) Since none was showing I am
making an initial seed. I requested my library get it. They did and this is how you see
it here.
The strongest reason I have for making the initial seed is the film's depiction of
cell phones given to infants and toddlers. It follows up with those images by saying
that the infant absorption rate is much higher than that of the tested adult subject.
Kids are given cell phones at a younger age. The documentation is coming in on what
decades long use of the devices can do and which it is best to be convinced yourselves
rather than me telling it.
The film gives hope at the conclusion for safer use of the devices.
As always, encourage your libraries to get the dvd. For those able to do it, post
the whole film to You Tube. This has not been done though there are a few short takes
for it as a promotion posted by the filmmaker Kevin Kunze.

In each and every one of our organs and tissue, we have stem cells. These stem cells can develop into many different kinds of cells. They can continue to divide in order to replace damaged cell tissue. As we grow older, we loose some of our stem cells, as well as the ability of those stem cells to repair organs and tissue. The function and ability of the stem cells varies greatly between men and women.
Each stem cell can become a specific type of cell that has its own function, or it can remain a stem cell. The two main differences between normal cells and stem cells are that stem cells have the potential for self renewal. The second difference is that stem cells can be manipulated to become a specific organ or tissue cell, like muscle cells, bone marrow cells, brain cells, blood cells, and other cells of the central nervous system.
The future of medicine will see a huge increase in the use of stem cells to treat various health problems, such as, heart disease, birth defects, paralysis, diabetes and many more. In the field of regenerative medicine, scientist are now able to regenerate whole organs and tissue, and in the future, they will be able to regenerate an entire human heart with the use of stem cells.
In the meantime, the development of artificial hearts for transplanting into human patients has grown exponentially.
In the early stages of artificial heart development, the heart pumps were a lot larger and a lot bulkier, and were used by doctors to replace just one side of the heart. But now, there are patients that have had heart transplant surgery, in which the entire heart was replaced by a much smaller and completely artificial heart.
In the future, doctors may have all the tools readily available to them to treat and cure any form of cardiovascular disease, as well as the ability to treat and cure spinal cord injury.

In this episode, presenter Liz Bonnin embarks on a journey to meet the different people, both within and outside the science community, whose lives are touched by the controversy surrounding the embryo. Liz talks to 22-year-old Geoff Harte, who was left paralysed after breaking his neck in a school rugby match, and now believes that stem cells may one day help him to walk again.
We also hear from Stephen Sullivan, a Harvard based Irish scientist who uses frozen embryos left over as a result of IVF treatment, as a source of stem cells for his groundbreaking research. On the flip side of the coin, Martin Clynes, a scientist at Dublin City University, explains why he passionately believes that research which destroys human embryos is morally unacceptable.
And finally, Liz meets Lisa O'Callaghan who, after giving birth to a daughter thanks to IVF treatment, now finds herself with frozen embryos of her own and confusion over what will become of them. O'Callaghan is not alone; this is an issue particularly relevant to Ireland, where the status of the embryo is mired in ambiguity and embryonic stem cell research remains a no-go area for scientists.
Stem cell research is one of the most exciting branches of modern medical science. Stem cells have the ability to transform themselves into any of the over 200 different types of cells found in the human body. Stem cells have been hailed by many scientists as the source of potential treatments for currently incurable conditions such as Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and spinal injury.
However it's not a straight-forward 'good news' story because according to a large body of scientists, the best source of stem cells is currently the human embryo and in order to remove the stem cells, the embryo must be destroyed.
The controversy revolves around people's perception of the embryo. To some, it is the very early stage in the life of a human being and must be afforded the same rights as a fully developed person. But, to others, it is a collection of cells which, while having the potential to become a human being, can justifiably be used instead to treat terrible diseases.
In this compelling documentary, Bonnin confronts the fact that, sooner or later, the Irish public will have to make a decision on how we view the human embryo.

In this science fiction thriller, child psychiatrist Catherine Deane (Jennifer Lopez) has developed a technique that allows her to travel through the minds of her patients. When Stargher (Vincent D'Onofrio), a multiple murderer who methodically drowns his victims and performs bizarre rituals with their bodies, falls into a coma, FBI agent Peter Novak (Vince Vaughn) asks Deane to enter the killer's psyche, in the hope of finding a missing girl whom Stargher has kidnapped; if she's not soon found, in all likelihood she'll die in his torture cell. However, once Deane enters the bizarre world of Stargher's mind, she finds getting out to be a very difficult matter. The Cell was the first feature from director Tarsem, who previously made award-winning commercials and music videos, including the video for R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion."
