Gosford Park is a 2001 British mystery film directed by Robert Altman and written by Julian Fellowes. The film stars an ensemble cast, which includes Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Derek Jacobi, Eileen Atkins, Alan Bates, Richard E. Grant, Helen Mirren, Kristin Scott Thomas, Clive Owen, Emily Watson, Charles Dance, Tom Hollander and Laurence Fox. The story follows a party of wealthy Britons and an American, and their servants, who gather for a shooting weekend at Gosford Park, an English country house. A murder occurs after a dinner party, and the film goes on to present the subsequent investigation from the servants' and guests' perspectives.
Development on Gosford Park began in 1999, when Bob Balaban asked Altman if they could develop a film together. Balaban suggested an Agatha Christie-style whodunit and introduced Altman to Julian Fellowes, with whom Balaban had been working on a different project. The film went into production in March 2001, and began filming at Shepperton Studios with a production budget of $19.8 million. Gosford Park premiered on 7 November 2001 at the London Film Festival. It received a limited release across cinemas in the United States in December 2001, before being widely released in January 2002 by USA Films. It was released in February 2002 in the United Kingdom.
Gosford is a city located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, about 76 km north of the Sydney central business district. The city is situated at the northern extremity of Brisbane Water, an extensive northern branch of the Hawkesbury River estuary and Broken Bay.
The city is the administrative centre of the Central Coast region, which is the third largest urban area in New South Wales after Sydney and Newcastle. Gosford has been designated as an important growth centre under the NSW Metropolitan Strategy. The suburb's population was 3,392 in the 2011 census.
In the 2011 Census, the most common countries of birth of people in Gosford were Australia 63.6%, England 4.4%, Mainland China 2.4%, India 1.9%, New Zealand 1.9% and South Korea 1.1%. The most common responses for religion were No Religion 24.3%, Catholic 21.6%, Anglican 18.0%, Buddhism 3.4% and Uniting Church 2.8%.
Until European settlement, the area around Gosford was inhabited by the Guringai peoples, who were principally coastal-dwellers and the Darginüng people that inhabited the hinterland. Along with the other land around the Hawkesbury River estuary, the Brisbane Water district was explored during the early stages of the settlement of New South Wales. In the early 19th century some pioneering European settlers began occupying the land, for timber-cutting (mainly ironbark and Australian red cedar), lime production and grazing.

This is our annual run to Bathurst to celebrate the birthday of Peter Brock. The day didn't start out great with the rain coming down heavy in the early hours but fortunately there was a break in the weather when we all arrived at McDonalds, Arndell Park to get the run underway. From there we headed up to the Hydro Majestic for some morning tea and then off to Mount Panorama in convoy. Once we arrived at the mountain we all enjoyed a parade lap before our annual club photo shoot and then for a BBQ up at McPhillamy Park.
This year commemorates the 10th anniversary of the passing of Peter Brock! The MODE and HSVOC club of ACT joined us this year resulting in the largest run that we have ever organised with 110 vehicles and 225 people. Mother Nature was once again looking out for us even though it is "Bathurst" and was a beautiful sunny day.

Museum curator Graeme Balfour has managed to draw together one of the finest collections of legendary Bathurst race cars ever seen in one location. Every car and motorcycle in the Shepparton Motor Museum is privately owned and on loan to the museum with many still racing in historic racing events around Australia. These were standard cars that were available to all Australians, that raced on Sunday and sold on Monday. Sitiveni Sivivatu made his Test debut for the All Blacks against Fiji at North Shore and promptly setting an All Blacks record in becoming the first All Black to score four tries on debut. While blessed with scintillating pace, Sivivatu always seems to have time to find, or create, space where it’s needed. Returned to the All Blacks for the 2006 end-of-year tour after injury disrupted his Philips Tri Nations campaign for the second year running. He proved his fitness and form with five tries in four matches, including his second career hat-trick in the Test win over Wales. Hailing from Jonah Lomu’s old school, Wesley College in Pukekohe, Sivivatu also scored prolifically for Counties Manukau in the Air New Zealand NPC Second Division, for Waikato in the First Division, for the Chiefs i...
This was our last run for 2016 and what a day! We started off by leisurely(cough, cough) cruising up the old road to Somersby where we all parked up in a row of 18 HSV's. From there we all make our way into and around the park for the rest of the day.
