Trevor Lucas & The Bushwackers : Bold Jack Donahue (live 1981)
A rare perfomance by the Bushwackers with their producer of the time Trevor Lucas (ex- Fairport Convention et al) guesting on lead vocals. The song was originally recorded by Lucas with Sandy Denny in the band Fotheringay in 1970, though he never sang it himself at the time.
This audio was recorded at the ANU Arts Centre, Canberra, Australia on April 23 1981. A contemporary newspaper report of the gig (http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/126833557?searchTerm=%22Trevor+Lucas%22&searchLimits;) shows a Bushwackers line-up of Dobe Newton, Roger Corbett, Louis McManus, Jan Wositzky, Eddy Van Roosendael, and a member I don't recognise.

Pabst Blue Ribbon Presents: The Greatest Beer Run Ever
At a time when the Vietnam War was at its height, one man, John "Chickie" Donohue, snuck back into the war zone to find his 3 closest friends and buy them a beer.
Crazy or caring, Chickie gave his friends more than beer, he gave them hope. Hope that helped each one safely return home when the war was over. Now, 47 years later, the group is reunited to relive the greatest beer run ever.

No conversation we’ve ever done has been more beloved than this one. This Irish poet, theologian, and philosopher insisted on beauty as a human calling. He had a lifelong fascination with the inner landscape of our lives and with what he called “the invisible world” that is constantly intertwining what we can know and see. This was one of the last interviews he gave before his unexpected death in 2008. But John O’Donohue’s voice and writings continue to bring ancient mystical wisdom to modern confusions and longings. About the Guest:
John O’Donohue was a poet, theologian, and philosopher. He authored several books, including “Anam Ċara,” ”Beauty,” and “To Bless the Space Between Us,” a collection of blessings published posthumously. More recently a new book of conversation with him has been published in the U.K., “Walking on the Pastures of Wonder.” He died on January 4, 2008.
