Central Park hosts over 25 million visitors per year. It's the most visited park in the United States and its appearance in many movies and television shows has made it famous around the world.
Central Park is bordered on the north by West 110th Street, on the south by West 59th Street, on the west by Eighth Avenue -- which along the Park's borders are known as Central Park North, Central Park South, and Central Park West respectively.
Fifth Avenue retains its name and forms the eastern border of the park.

They needed to create a center for socializing, for people to see and be seen, Bethesda Terrace is that place. Hang around here long enough and you'll see it all... street performers, wedding photographs, musicians, artists and more.
Central Park Zoo and the Children's Zoo -- East Side at 64th St.
The Central Park Zoo had some bleak years back in the 70s and 80s. It had been neglected and its animals were living in small cramped cages. It has since been renovated and today it's a thriving healthy zoo with a lot to see. Come see the polar bears, the sea lion pool, monkeys and the amazing tropical rain forest. Just next door is the Children's Zoo. This is a must-see if you have kids. They've got goats, pigs, turtles, ducks and even a cow named Othello. The best part - most of the animals can be touched and fed.

It's in the southeast corner of the park and you'll find ducks, turtles, a few benches and a cute little stone bridge. It's hard to believe you're just a few feet away from 5th Avenue!

Central Park is a public park at the center of Manhattan in New York City, New York, United States. The park initially opened in 1857, on 843 acres (3.41 km2) of city-owned land. In 1858, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux won a design competition to improve and expand the park with a plan they entitled the Greensward Plan. Construction began the same year, continued during the American Civil War, and was completed in 1873.
Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1962, the park is currently managed by the Central Park Conservancy under contract with the city government. The Conservancy is a non-profit organization that contributes 83.5% of Central Park's $37.5 million dollar annual budget, and employs 80.7% of the park's maintenance staff.
Central Park, which has been a National Historic Landmark since 1963, was designed by landscape designer and writer Frederick Law Olmsted and the English architect Calvert Vaux in 1858 after winning a design competition. They also designed Brooklyn's Prospect Park.

Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American business magnate, television personality and author. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Trump's extravagant lifestyle, outspoken manner and role on the NBC reality show The Apprentice have made him a well-known celebrity who was No. 17 on the 2011 Forbes Celebrity 100 list. He is well-known as a real-estate developer who amassed vast hotel, casino, and other real-estate properties, in the New York City area and around the world.
Trump is the son of Fred Trump, a wealthy New York City real-estate developer. He worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son, while attending the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and in 1968 officially joined the company. He was given control of the company in 1971 and renamed it The Trump Organization.
In 2010, Trump expressed an interest in becoming a candidate for President of the United States in the 2012 election. In May 2011, he announced he would not be a candidate, but a few weeks later he said he had not completely ruled out the possibility. In December 2011, Trump was suggested as a possible Vice Presidential selection by Michele Bachmann. Bachmann has since suspended her presidential campaign.

An unexplained tombstone bearing Donald Trump's name and a play on his iconic campaign slogan mysteriously appeared and then was quickly removed in Central Park in New York City over the weekend. According to photographs shown on Time Warner’s NY1, the tombstone had a cross, Trump’s name and his date of birth, though it did not show a date of death. It also said “Made America Hate Again.” The tombstone popped up over the weekend but was removed by Monday morning. Fifth Avenue retains its name and forms the eastern border of the park.
Central Park contains several lakes and ponds, extensive walking trails, two ice-skating rinks (one of which is a swimming pool in July and August), the Central Park Zoo, the Central Park Conservatory Garden, a wildlife sanctuary, a large area of natural woods, a reservoir with an encircling running track, 37 kids playgrounds, children's yoga, the Delacorte Theater and, of course, the famous Central Park Carousel.
Bethesda Terrace - Mid-Park at 72nd Street
When Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux designed the park in the late 1850's, they knew they needed a special place in the Park where people could gather. They needed to create a center for socializing, for people to see and be seen, Bethesda Terrace is that place. Hang around here long enough and you'll see it all... street performers, wedding photographs, musicians, artists and more.
Central Park Zoo and the Children's Zoo -- East Side at 64th St.
The Central Park Zoo had some bleak years back in the 70s and 80s. It had been neglected and its animals were living in small cramped cages. It has since been renovated and today it's a thriving healthy zoo with a lot to see. Come see the polar bears, the sea lion pool, monkeys and the amazing tropical rain forest. Just next door is the Children's Zoo. This is a must-see if you have kids. They've got goats, pigs, turtles, ducks and even a cow named Othello. The best part - most of the animals can be touched and fed.

It's in the southeast corner of the park and you'll find ducks, turtles, a few benches and a cute little stone bridge. It's hard to believe you're just a few feet away from 5th Avenue!

When Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux designed the park in the late 1850's, they knew they needed a special place in the Park where people could gather. They needed to create a center for socializing, for people to see and be seen, Bethesda Terrace is that place. Hang around here long enough and you'll see it all... street performers, wedding photographs, musicians, artists and more.
Central Park Zoo and the Children's Zoo -- East Side at 64th St.
The Central Park Zoo had some bleak years back in the 70s and 80s. It had been neglected and its animals were living in small cramped cages. It has since been renovated and today it's a thriving healthy zoo with a lot to see. Come see the polar bears, the sea lion pool, monkeys and the amazing tropical rain forest. Just next door is the Children's Zoo. This is a must-see if you have kids. They've got goats, pigs, turtles, ducks and even a cow named Othello. The best part - most of the animals can be touched and fed.

Our last stop in part 1 of our Central Park series is one of my favorite little corners of Central Park. It's called, quite fittingly, The Pond. It's in the southeast corner of the park and you'll find ducks, turtles, a few benches and a cute little stone bridge. It's hard to believe you're just a few feet away from 5th Avenue!

According to photographs shown on Time Warner’s NY1, the tombstone had a cross, Trump’s name and his date of birth, though it did not show a date of death. It also said “Made America Hate Again.” The tombstone popped up over the weekend but was removed by Monday morning. The New York City Parks Department has not commented on the matter.

Central Park est le parc le plus visité des Etats-Unis avec environs 25 millions de visiteurs par an. Central Park est délimité au nord par West 110th St., au sud par West 59th St., à l'ouest par la 8eme Avenue - les frontières du parc sont connues sous le nom de Central Park North, Central Park South, et Central Park West. La 5eme Avenue garde son nom et correspond à la délimitation du parc à l'est.
Le parc contient des lacs et des étangs, de larges chemins et pistes piétonnes, deux patinoires (l'une des deux devient une piscine en juillet et août), le Zoo de Central Park, un jardin botanique, une réserve naturelle, des bois sauvages, un réservoir entouré d'une piste pour courir, 37 aires de jeux pour enfants, le Théâtre Delacorte, et bien sur, le fameux manège.

Bethesda Terrace -- Milieu du Park, à hauteur de 72nd St.
Lorsque Frederick Law Olmsted et Calvert Vaux ont conçu le Park dans les années 1850, ils savaient qu'ils avaient besoin d'un lieu spécial où les gens pourraient se réunir. Ils voulaient créer un lieu de rencontres, pour voir et être vu, et Bethesda Terrace devint ce lieu.
Central Park Zoo and the Children's Zoo -- Côté est, à hauteur de 64th St.
Dans les années 80, le Central Park Zoo n'était pas ce qu'il est aujourd'hui. Complètement délabré, il a été rénové et est certainement devenu l'une des activités les plus excitantes du parc. Juste à côté, le zoo pour enfants. C'est vraiment à faire si vous avez des enfants. Il y a des chèvres, des cochons, tortues, canard et même une vache qui s'appelle Othello. Le mieux c'est que la plupart des animaux peuvent être nourris et caressés !
N'oubliez pas que le meilleur moyen d'expérimenter New York est de louer un appartement http://www.nyhabitat.com/fr/new-york-appartement.html en passant par New York habitat. Wolman Rink - Côté est entre 62nd St. et 63rd St.
La patinoire Wollman a été construite en 1949 lorsque Kate Wollman donna $600 000 pour sa construction. Dans les années 90, il a été racheté et appartient aujourd'hui à Donald Trump.
The Pond
Un de mes coins préférés de Central Park est le Pond. C'est au coin sud-est du parc. Vous trouverez des canards, des tortues, et un très joli pont !

Some designers and engineers want to bring high-speed Wi-Fi to as many public parks and plazas as possible ... So what if a glowing tower in the park showed you ads about those events, or even pushed you notifications as you walked by? ... Palo may be better suited for the streets than the middle of Central Park ... But they could be a draw if well-incorporated into plazas and put near existing park facilities, like perhaps the bathrooms....
