Debuting here is a very happy discovery found last week on a Beta tape - a complete sign-off message from 1985 for KCPQ 13 "Puget Sound Television". I honestly had no expectations of ever seeing this again, and was elated to find it at the end of a recording. Though oddly enough this closedown does not feature any station information it is still grand, with a version of the Lord's Prayer provided jointly by Chief Shatka Bear-Step and Walt Conley; a version of "The Star Spangled Banner" that I do not recall seeing elsewhere; and a montage of Pacific Northwest scenery set to the Jan Peerce song "The Bluebird of Happiness". Enjoy!
Dialing for Dollars host Art Pedersen leads off this ad break featuring commercials and promos on KCPQ 13 from an afternoon in 1988.
