Joshua Heath listened to Solaris Heights - 'Rivers' and was motivated to create house music. The result was 'You Wanna Dance' which was picked up by Dallas label, Grab Recordings. While digging thru an old hard drive earlier this year, Joshua found the original session files, spawning the desire for a long overdue revision - and thus, the 2011 Hot Mix was born. Joshua's 2011 Hot Mix breathes some freshness into the original, keeping the sexy synth lines, ripping guitar and Rhodes solos, but adds that hot and heavy drum production, a fat ass bass line and some funky original vocals. On track with his GSR004 release, Orport EP, his remix is full of original synth work and quirky drum production. Full support! - Jazzy Eyewear | SoSound Joshua is on fire as of late and this EP does not disappoint...All three cuts are sick but my pick of the litter is Hawley's Drobot Dub...in the pocket goodness. 9/10 overall. - Corduroy Mavericks Oh fook yes I do, soooo slick, so chunky and soo filthy you dirty dirty man! Loving that guitar solo, classic jazz meets filthy disco - works 60% of the time everytime! Skaggs mix is tasty, a little dubbier and less "eventful" than the update but a worth addition nonetheless. take is tasty too, low slung Chi town vibes working very well.
