Corpse Bride, often referred as Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, is a 2005 stop-motion-animated fantasy musical film directed by Mike Johnson and Tim Burton. It is set in a fictional Victorian era village in Europe. Johnny Depp led an all-star cast as the voice of Victor, while Helena Bonham Carter voiced Emily, the title character. Corpse Bride is the second stop-motion feature film produced by Tim Burton (not including his short film Vincent), the first being The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The film was nominated in the 78th Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature, but was bested by Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. It was shot with a battery of Canon EOS-1D Mark II digital SLRs, rather than the 35mm film cameras used for Burton's previous stop-motion film The Nightmare Before Christmas.
In an unnamed Victorian Era European village, Victor Van Dort (Johnny Depp), the son of nouveau riche fish merchants, and Victoria Everglot (Emily Watson), the neglected daughter of hateful aristocrats, are getting prepared for their arranged marriage, which will raise the social class of Victor's parents and restore the wealth of Victoria's penniless family. Both have concerns about marrying someone they do not know, but they fall in love when they first meet. After the shy, clumsy Victor ruins the wedding rehearsal and is scolded at by Pastor Galswells, he flees and practises his wedding vows in the nearby forest, placing the wedding ring on a nearby upturned tree root.

Plot: Ben and Julie's annual Halloween Party is about to go off the Richter scale, when their single, high maintenance girlfriend drags in a homeless guy, thinking he's a party goer, because SHE needs an escort. Not only has she dated everyone there; unbeknownst to her, Ben has invited her lame ex-boyfriend in hopes of reuniting them. As she spends the night avoiding her ex, and the other undesirable guys in attendance, she interacts with a colorful assortment of party peeps. Between disappearing fortune tellers and over crowded jacuzzis, she questions if real love is even possible. The irony; the only person she's the least bit attracted to, is the homeless man!

help me.
I really need you by my side.
I know that this love that I feel inside is too
unhealthy.
Just tell me that you'll be my bride.
I take your hand in mine; it feels so cold, I feel so
helpless.
I cannot take this pain inside.
Will you just kiss my lips for one last time, or is it
hopeless?
Tonight, you will be my corpse bride.
Be my bride.
So will you take my hand in this unholy matrimony?
You make me feel so dead inside.
No one could ever take your place, so do this one thing
for me:
Baby, will you please come alive?
I take your hand in mine; it feels so cold, I feel so
helpless.
I cannot take this pain inside.
Will you just kiss my lips for one last time, or is it
hopeless?
Tonight, you will be my corpse bride.
Be my bride.
