Standard all-wheel drive has always been the Subaru Legacy’s claim to fame. Yet in the face well-established rivals like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, Subaru's midsize sedan has gone largely unnoticed. The 2015 Subaru Legacy is on an all-new platform, with symmetrical all wheel drive and a high-torque lineartronic CVT. It features active torque vectoring, electric power steering, and a 3.6L boxer six with 256 hp. The all-new infotainment system includes a standard touch screen display and back-up camera. The touch screen, unlike many in the automotive world these days, is actually quite responsive.

Even though the current version has added a dose of much needed luxury and interior comfort, it sticks to those principles. Available only as an estate and with just two engines and trim levels, the range isn't massive, but all cars have plenty of equipment and offer punchy performance. Four-wheel drive is standard, and while it's not an SUV in terms of ground clearance, it can handle surprisingly rough terrain. On smoother roads it's comfortable, and has loads of space for people and luggage.

Available only as an estate and with just two engines and trim levels, the range isn't massive, but all cars have plenty of equipment and offer punchy performance. Four-wheel drive is standard, and while it's not an SUV in terms of ground clearance, it can handle surprisingly rough terrain. On smoother roads it's comfortable, and has loads of space for people and luggage.
