Universal Trios title tournament (First Round) La Familia Apache (Gran Apache, Mari Apache and Fabi Apache) vs Body Donnas (Skip, Zip and Sunny) Here is your Main Event and it features a team that had the longest title run of all time in the DMN against a team that was together for a short period but never as a full trios wrestling unit until now. First of all We have La Familia Apache, the team that was the First DMN World Mixed Tag Team Champions, and held those titles for almost 11 months. A record that hasn't been broken by any title holder here yet. However this was just the team of Gran and Mari Apache. Now they have included Fabi Apache, which doesn't slow up there process. This trios team has been the toast of AAA for years and years. They have also been apart of very emotional storylines that included the Apaches teaming up and fighting against one another (especially during the time that Fabi was being wooed by Billy Boy her real life husband. This storyline saw them get together including them introducing there child to the wrestling world. It also saw Billy Boy cheat on Fabi which brought her back to her family to fight Billy Boy) This team in AAA have been great champions as Gran and Mari, and Gran and Fabi have had reigns as the World Mixed Tag Team Champions. Currently Gran is not a title holder in AAA but he will try to be on his way in getting his second DMN title tonight and quite possibly shatter his own record. As for his daughters they are world traveled athletes not only competing in AAA but also in Japan for ARSION (which saw Mari get the Sky High of ARSION title [which was the X Division title long before there was an X Division] and the Apache sisters try unsuccessfully to get The Twinstar titles). It should be also known that these sisters are currently champions now as Mari Apache is the Reina de Reina Campeon of AAA and Fabi Apache has once again (for the third time) captured the World Mixed Tag Team titles. This time she did it with Pimpinela Escarlata (the Scarlet Pimpernel in english). This team is a golden team but tonight they face a certain golden haired team. This team is the Body Donnas. A faction that started out with Sunny (Tammy Lynn Sytch) and Skip (Chris Candido). They would insult fans and wrestlers about their hideous physics (alot better than LayCool has done in the past year) and they had a little success but it was after they brought in Zip (Tom Prichard) when their big dreams of title success came to fruition. It was at the Free for All pre-game event before Wrestlemania 12 that saw Sunny use her slammy award winning mind by showing her slammy award winning buns to Phineas Godwinn. Skip took advantage rolled him up and got the victory and the titles. This trios team soon went opposite directions the moment the Body Donnas lost the titles. As Sunny did something historic. she went on to manage three consecutive tag team champions ( The Body Donnas, The Godwinns and lastly the Smoking Gunns) one right after the other. Now it is known that this team also has the golden touch. Even though the Body Donnas only have one tag title to there name, this team individual have gotten many titles for themselves. Candido won the ECW World tag title, the WCW World Cruiserweight title, the XPW World championship and he managed NWA World tag champions as well as being a one time NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Prichard was a multiple time SMW Tag champion, a USWA World tag champion, a USWA Southern heavyweight champion. Tammy has managed an SMW heavyweight champion (as well as other championships won by Chris Candido) and she won the WSU Championship in December 2007. So it is even as everyone has had a title reign but for current title holders it is the Apaches who are on their game. Will the Apaches prove there as dominant here as they are in AAA or will the Body Donnas use their minds and maybe a few tricks to get the duke? watch and find out.
