Peter Gould may refer to:
Peter Gould is an American television writer, director and producer. He worked on all five seasons of the AMC drama Breaking Bad. He had been nominated for four Writers Guild of America (WGA) Awards for his work on the series. He is currently working with Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan on the show's spinoff, Better Call Saul.
Gould is a native of New York. He graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. In 1990, he graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master of Fine Arts.
In 2008, he joined the writing staff of the first season of Breaking Bad as a story editor. He wrote the first season episode "A No-Rough-Stuff-Type Deal". The first season writing staff were nominated for the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Award for best new series at the February 2009 ceremony.
Gould was promoted to executive story editor for the second season. He wrote the second season episodes "Bit by a Dead Bee" and "Better Call Saul". The writing staff were nominated for the WGA award for best drama series at the February 2010 ceremony for their work on the second season. Gould was promoted to producer for the third season and wrote the episode "Caballo Sin Nombre" and co-wrote the episode "Kafkaesque" with fellow producer George Mastras. Gould was promoted again to supervising producer for the fourth season in 2011.
Peter Gould is a strategic branding expert who has been identified by the BBC as "among those young urban global Muslims leading the emergence of a new Muslim cool."
He is the Founder and Creative Director of Gould.Sydney which has been awarded the AMMA in small business 3 times, most recently in 2015.
He also participated in Sydney Design Week, where his studio was part of the official program. He spoke about his personal and professional experiences in the space of Islamic design and art.
Peter Gould was an Evan Pugh Professor Emeritus of Geography at Penn State University. Throughout his tenure at Penn State University, Gould received many awards including the Lauréat Prix International de Géographie Vautrin Lud, the Retzius Gold Metal of the Swedish Society for Anthropology and Geography, as well as an honorary Doctor of Science from the Universitaire de Strasbourg. Dr. Gould was a main contributor to the quantitative revolution in the field of Geography.
Born in 1932 in Coulsdon, Surrey, Peter Gould decided he was going to become a geographer at a fairly young age. He graduated from Colgate University in 1956 with a BA (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa). He attended Northwestern University for both his MA, and PhD.
Professor Gould is still well known for his work with spatial analysis, and mental maps. The Peter R. Gould Center for Geography Education and Outreach within the Department of Geography at the Pennsylvania State University was named in his honor. Colgate University's Geography Department gives a Peter Gould Award in Geography annually.
