The dismal report on the US GDP for the second quarter published on Friday pushed the greenback down. Nevertheless, the US currency found a weaker rival. Today, the British pound is declining against the US dollar in light of the report showing a sharp contraction in the UK manufacturing PMI. The data worsened outlook for economic growth in the United Kingdom and undermined demand for the British currency.
In the early European trade, the pound/dollar pair was trading above 1.32. However, after the release of the UK manufacturing PMI the cable dropped to 1.3181.
Meanwhile, traders are in no hurry to buy the pound/dollar pair as the market is now awaiting the report on the US PMIs for July. This report will be the main marker mover in Forex.
Besides, traders are in suspense ahead of the Bank of England decision on further monetary policy that will be declared on Thursday.
The UK’s regulator is widely expected to cut the key interest rate to 0.25%. Apart from easing monetary policy, markets are speculating that the Bank of England could expand the asset buying program by about 25 billion pounds.
To make things worse, Britain’s manufacturers are suffering even more than expected in the immediate aftermath of the UK’s vote to leave the EU.
According to the Markit survey, Britain’s factory PMI sank to 48.2 in July, well below the flash estimate of 49.1. The index came in at 52.1 in June.
The manufacturing PMI for July represents a low not seen since the beginning of 2013. So the feeble PMI data could indicate that the United Kingdom is plunging toward recession.

STORYLINE
Hamas gunmen backed by Palestinian police on Sunday came to the rescue of the new Palestinian health minister - a top Hamas official - after angry gunmen raided his office in Gaza City and sparked a shootout that left three people wounded.
A group of men, some of them armed, whose relative needed treatment abroad, came to Bassem Naim''s office and asked him to authorise the trip, a Health Ministry spokesman said.
Naim''s bodyguards called for backup from Hamas and the two groups engaged in a brief shootout that wounded three people, witnesses and Palestinian security forces said.
One wounded man bleeding from his leg lay outside the office compound before he was evacuated in a taxi.
Palestinian police and masked Hamas militants surrounded the building.
When they tried to approach, the gunmen inside fired at them.
After a 45-minute standoff, the police and the militants retook the building, arresting three of the gunmen.
Naim left surrounded by 10 Hamas militants.
The fighting came a day after Health Minister Bassem Naim announced that he was cutting two (M) million US dollars from the monthly health budget to help alleviate the financial crisis by halting payments for patients to get treatment abroad.
The shootout was the latest explosion of violence in the Gaza Strip and it marked the first time a Hamas cabinet minister turned to his group''s gunmen to help restore order.
The shootout erupted hours after Hamas and Fatah officials agreed to work to end tensions between the rival movements.
A fierce power struggle between the sides sparked clashes and mass protests in recent days.

There's been heavy fighting in northern Afghanistan, where the
Taliban militia have again clashed with forces resisting its
campaign to unite the country under Islamic fundemantalist rule.
The Taliban offensive is bogged down in the north against troops
loyal to former government military commander Ahmed Shah
Massood, his ally Sayyad Jaffar Naderi, and Uzbek fighters led
by General Abdul Malik.
Masood's forces again appear to have repelled a Taliban attack
near near the city of Jebul Siraj. A strategic outpost on the
Salang Highway, on the only road linking northern and southern
Afghanistan, Jebul Siraj was seized two weeks ago by Masood's
forces.
Several Taliban attempts to retake the city have been repelled
by Massood's troops, who have taken dozens of prisoners now kept
at a POW camp at the village of Bazarak in the Pyandzh Gorge.

European Economic Community
The European Economic Community (EEC) was a regional organisation which aimed to bring about economic integration between its member states. It was created by the Treaty of Rome of 1957. Upon the formation of the European Union (EU) in 1993, the EEC was incorporated and renamed as the European Community (EC). In 2009 the EC's institutions were absorbed into the EU's wider framework and the community ceased to exist.
The Community's initial aim was to bring about economic integration, including a common market and customs union, among its six founding members: Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and West Germany. It gained a common set of institutions along with the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) as one of the European Communities under the 1965 Merger Treaty (Treaty of Brussels). In 1993, a complete single market was achieved, known as the internal market, which allowed for the free movement of goods, capital, services, and people within the EEC. In 1994, the internal market was formalised by the EEA agreement. This agreement also extended the internal market to include most of the member states of the European Free Trade Association, forming the European Economic Area covering 15 countries.

Human back
The human back is the large posterior area of the human body, rising from the top of the buttocks to the back of the neck and the shoulders. It is the surface opposite to the chest, its height being defined by the vertebral column (commonly referred to as the spine or backbone) and its breadth being supported by the ribcage and shoulders. The spinal canal runs through the spine and provides nerves to the rest of the body.
Structure
The central feature of the human back is the vertebral column, specifically the length from the top of the thoracic vertebrae to the bottom of the lumbar vertebrae, which houses the spinal cord in its spinal canal, and which generally has some curvature that gives shape to the back. The ribcage extends from the spine at the top of the back (with the top of the ribcage corresponding to the T1 vertebra), more than halfway down the length of the back, leaving an area with less protection between the bottom of the ribcage and the hips. The width of the back at the top is defined by the scapula, the broad, flat bones of the shoulders.

European Union
The European Union (EU) is a politico-economic union of 28 member states that are located primarily in Europe. It covers an area of 4,324,782 km2, with an estimated population of over 508 million. The EU operates through a system of supranational institutions and intergovernmental-negotiated decisions by the member states. The institutions are: the European Parliament, the European Council, the Council of the European Union, the European Commission, the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Central Bank, and the Court of Auditors. The European Parliament is elected every five years by EU citizens.

A group of men, some of them armed, whose relative needed treatment abroad, came to Bassem Naim''s office and asked him to authorise the trip, a Health Ministry spokesman said. Naim''s bodyguards called for backup from Hamas and the two groups engaged in a brief shootout that wounded three people, witnesses and Palestinian security forces said. One wounded man bleeding from his leg lay outside the office compound before he was evacuated in a taxi. Palestinian police and masked Hamas militants surrounded the building. When they tried to approach, the gunmen inside fired at them. After a 45-minute standoff, the police and the militants retook the building, arresting three of the gunmen. Naim left surrounded by 10 Hamas militants. The fighting came a day after Health Minister Bassem Naim announced that he was cutting two (M) million US dollars from the monthly health budget to help alleviate the financial crisis by halting payments for patients to get treatment abroad. The dismal report on the US GDP for the second quarter published on Friday pushed the greenback down. Nevertheless, the US currency found a weaker rival. Today, the British pound is declining against the US dollar in light of the report showing a sharp contraction in the UK manufacturing PMI. The dismal report on the US GDP for the second quarter published on Friday pushed the greenback down. Nevertheless, the US currency found a weaker rival. Today, the British pound is declining against the US dollar in light of the report showing a sharp contraction in the UK manufacturing PMI. The data worsened outlook for economic growth in the United Kingdom and undermined demand for the British currency.
In the early European trade, the pound/dollar pair was trading above 1.32. However, after the release of the UK manufacturing PMI the cable dropped to 1.3181.
Meanwhile, traders are in no hurry to buy the pound/dollar pair as the market is now awaiting the report on the US PMIs for July. This report will be the main marker mover in Forex.
Besides, traders are in suspense ahead of the Bank of England decision on further monetary policy that will be declared on Thursday.
The UK’s regulator is widely expected to cut the key interest rate to 0.25%. Apart from easing monetary policy, markets are speculating that the Bank of England could expand the asset buying program by about 25 billion pounds.
To make things worse, Britain’s manufacturers are suffering even more than expected in the immediate aftermath of the UK’s vote to leave the EU.
According to the Markit survey, Britain’s factory PMI sank to 48.2 in July, well below the flash estimate of 49.1. The index came in at 52.1 in June.
The manufacturing PMI for July represents a low not seen since the beginning of 2013. So the feeble PMI data could indicate that the United Kingdom is plunging toward recession.

Hamas gunmen backed by Palestinian police on Sunday came to the rescue of the new Palestinian health minister - a top Hamas official - after angry gunmen raided his office in Gaza City and sparked a shootout that left three people wounded.
A group of men, some of them armed, whose relative needed treatment abroad, came to Bassem Naim''s office and asked him to authorise the trip, a Health Ministry spokesman said.
Naim''s bodyguards called for backup from Hamas and the two groups engaged in a brief shootout that wounded three people, witnesses and Palestinian security forces said.
One wounded man bleeding from his leg lay outside the office compound before he was evacuated in a taxi.
Palestinian police and masked Hamas militants surrounded the building.
When they tried to approach, the gunmen inside fired at them.
After a 45-minute standoff, the police and the militants retook the building, arresting three of the gunmen.
Naim left surrounded by 10 Hamas militants.
The fighting came a day after Health Minister Bassem Naim announced that he was cutting two (M) million US dollars from the monthly health budget to help alleviate the financial crisis by halting payments for patients to get treatment abroad.
The shootout was the latest explosion of violence in the Gaza Strip and it marked the first time a Hamas cabinet minister turned to his group''s gunmen to help restore order.
The shootout erupted hours after Hamas and Fatah officials agreed to work to end tensions between the rival movements.
A fierce power struggle between the sides sparked clashes and mass protests in recent days.

There's been heavy fighting in northern Afghanistan, where the
Taliban militia have again clashed with forces resisting its
campaign to unite the country under Islamic fundemantalist rule.
The Taliban offensive is bogged down in the north against troops
loyal to former government military commander Ahmed Shah
Massood, his ally Sayyad Jaffar Naderi, and Uzbek fighters led
by General Abdul Malik.
Masood's forces again appear to have repelled a Taliban attack
near near the city of Jebul Siraj. A strategic outpost on the
Salang Highway, on the only road linking northern and southern
Afghanistan, Jebul Siraj was seized two weeks ago by Masood's
forces.
Several Taliban attempts to retake the city have been repelled
by Massood's troops, who have taken dozens of prisoners now kept
at a POW camp at the village of Bazarak in the Pyandzh Gorge.

commentary: reporter: "he landed in a helicopter just outside the city. he had spent just less than a month in tehran but it has been enough to achieve his life's purpose -- the shah and all his works were swept away in a two and a half weeks of revolt khomeini had spent most of his adult life working towards. "khomeini was concealed inside an ambulance and rushed into the city under guard. thousands had walked dusty miles to catch a glimpse of the father of the revolution but they were mostly disappointed. khomeini arrived unseen.
"qom is a city of 144 mosques, holy tomb and islamic seminaries. it is the religious centre of iran and was the starting point of the revolution. the crowds were concentrated outside the seminary where khomeini was to talk. the place was full; the gates were closed and people clawed their way over the gates inside the crush was so great some of the crowd fainted and had to be passed over the heads of the crowd unconscious. when khomeini appeared he delivered a hard, uncompromising speech condemning the western influence in iran. he said the new islamic republic would be inspired by the stern religious principles of islam -- nothing else.
"although khomeini's withdrawal from tehran signals his retirement from day-to-day politics he is still expected to speak out on major issues when he feels the need. he is the living embodiment of the iranian revolution and there is little doubt about the ayatollah's influence still being felt."

A Eurobarometer survey of EU citizens in 2009 showed that support for membership of the EU was lowest in Latvia, the United Kingdom, and Hungary. Euroscepticism is found in political parties across the political spectrum.

The dismal report on the US GDP for the second quarter published on Friday pushed the greenback down. Nevertheless, the US currency found a weaker rival. Today, the British pound is declining against the US dollar in light of the report showing a sharp contraction in the UK manufacturing PMI. The dismal report on the US GDP for the second quarter published on Friday pushed the greenback down. Nevertheless, the US currency found a weaker rival. Today, the British pound is declining against the US dollar in light of the report showing a sharp contraction in the UK manufacturing PMI. The data worsened outlook for economic growth in the United Kingdom and undermined demand for the British currency.
In the early European trade, the pound/dollar pair was trading above 1.32. However, after the release of the UK manufacturing PMI the cable dropped to 1.3181.
Meanwhile, traders are in no hurry to buy the pound/dollar pair as the market is now awaiting the report on the US PMIs for July. This report will be the main marker mover in Forex.
Besides, traders are in suspense ahead of the Bank of England decision on further monetary policy that will be declared on Thursday.
The UK’s regulator is widely expected to cut the key interest rate to 0.25%. Apart from easing monetary policy, markets are speculating that the Bank of England could expand the asset buying program by about 25 billion pounds.
To make things worse, Britain’s manufacturers are suffering even more than expected in the immediate aftermath of the UK’s vote to leave the EU.
According to the Markit survey, Britain’s factory PMI sank to 48.2 in July, well below the flash estimate of 49.1. The index came in at 52.1 in June.
The manufacturing PMI for July represents a low not seen since the beginning of 2013. So the feeble PMI data could indicate that the United Kingdom is plunging toward recession.

STORYLINE
Hamas gunmen backed by Palestinian police on Sunday came to the rescue of the new Palestinian health minister - a top Hamas official - after angry gunmen raided his office in Gaza City and sparked a shootout that left three people wounded.
A group of men, some of them armed, whose relative needed treatment abroad, came to Bassem Naim''s office and asked him to authorise the trip, a Health Ministry spokesman said.
Naim''s bodyguards called for backup from Hamas and the two groups engaged in a brief shootout that wounded three people, witnesses and Palestinian security forces said.
One wounded man bleeding from his leg lay outside the office compound before he was evacuated in a taxi.
Palestinian police and masked Hamas militants surrounded the building.
When they tried to approach, the gunmen inside fired at them.
After a 45-minute standoff, the police and the militants retook the building, arresting three of the gunmen.
Naim left surrounded by 10 Hamas militants.
The fighting came a day after Health Minister Bassem Naim announced that he was cutting two (M) million US dollars from the monthly health budget to help alleviate the financial crisis by halting payments for patients to get treatment abroad.
The shootout was the latest explosion of violence in the Gaza Strip and it marked the first time a Hamas cabinet minister turned to his group''s gunmen to help restore order.
The shootout erupted hours after Hamas and Fatah officials agreed to work to end tensions between the rival movements.
A fierce power struggle between the sides sparked clashes and mass protests in recent days.

There's been heavy fighting in northern Afghanistan, where the
Taliban militia have again clashed with forces resisting its
campaign to unite the country under Islamic fundemantalist rule.
The Taliban offensive is bogged down in the north against troops
loyal to former government military commander Ahmed Shah
Massood, his ally Sayyad Jaffar Naderi, and Uzbek fighters led
by General Abdul Malik.
Masood's forces again appear to have repelled a Taliban attack
near near the city of Jebul Siraj. A strategic outpost on the
Salang Highway, on the only road linking northern and southern
Afghanistan, Jebul Siraj was seized two weeks ago by Masood's
forces.
Several Taliban attempts to retake the city have been repelled
by Massood's troops, who have taken dozens of prisoners now kept
at a POW camp at the village of Bazarak in the Pyandzh Gorge.

"khomeini was concealed inside an ambulance and rushed into the city under guard. thousands had walked dusty miles to catch a glimpse of the father of the revolution but they were mostly disappointed. khomeini arrived unseen.
"qom is a city of 144 mosques, holy tomb and islamic seminaries. it is the religious centre of iran and was the starting point of the revolution. the crowds were concentrated outside the seminary where khomeini was to talk. the place was full; the gates were closed and people clawed their way over the gates inside the crush was so great some of the crowd fainted and had to be passed over the heads of the crowd unconscious. when khomeini appeared he delivered a hard, uncompromising speech condemning the western influence in iran. he said the new islamic republic would be inspired by the stern religious principles of islam -- nothing else.
"although khomeini's withdrawal from tehran signals his retirement from day-to-day politics he is still expected to speak out on major issues when he feels the need. he is the living embodiment of the iranian revolution and there is little doubt about the ayatollah's influence still being felt."

Möglicherweise war der Film sogar das Zünglein an der Waage, denn er wurde am 12. Mai 2016 veröffentlicht. Das korrespondiert überraschend gut mit der Wahlstatistik unter https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/EU-Mitgliedschaftsreferendum_im_Vereinigten_Königreich_2016#/media/File:UK_EU_referendum_polling.svg. Vermutlich nur ein/zwei Wochen später und es hätte nicht mehr gereicht. Grossbritannien ist letztlich am 23. Juni 2016 mit hauchdünner Mehrheit aus der EU ausgetreten.

BREXIT: DER FILM ist ein Feature-Dokumentarfilm, der versucht, so viele Menschen wie möglich zu inspirieren und dafür zu gewinnen, dass sie beim Referendum zur EU am 23. Juni 2016 VERLASSEN stimmen.
BREXIT: DER FILM zeigt die Gefahren auf, wenn man in der EU bleibt. Ist es sicher, einer entfernten Regierung ausserhalb unserer Kontrolle die Macht zu verleihen, Gesetze zu machen? Ist es sicher, uns an Länder zu binden, die in der Nähe des finanziellen Ruins stehen und die in Richtung furchteinflössenden, politischen Extremismus und Leidens driften?

Das spannende an dieser Doku sind einerseits die Einblicke, die man ins Innenleben der EU bekommt, als auch, dass die Schweiz als Beispiel eines Landes ausserhalb der EU im Film vorkommt.
Möglicherweise war der Film sogar das Zünglein an der Waage, denn er wurde am 12. Mai 2016 veröffentlicht. Das korrespondiert überraschend gut mit der Wahlstatistik unter https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/EU-Mitgliedschaftsreferendum_im_Vereinigten_Königreich_2016#/media/File:UK_EU_referendum_polling.svg. Vermutlich nur ein/zwei Wochen später und es hätte nicht mehr gereicht. Grossbritannien ist letztlich am 23. Juni 2016 mit hauchdünner Mehrheit aus der EU ausgetreten.
