"Swangin" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Stalley, released on March 26, 2013, as the first single from his debut EP. The song, produced by Block Beattaz, features a guest appearance from hip hop legend Scarface.
"Swangin" is a tribute to Houston's classic car culture, Stalley explained. "I know they're real heavy into the Cadillacs and the American muscle cars and the old-schools like we [in Ohio] are. They kind of invented that swang, that swag, and that swangin', so I wanted to pay homage to those guys. There wasn't a better person to do it with than [Houston native] Scarface." The song contains samples of Mint Condition's "U Send Me Swingin'" & G-Side's "Swangin" featuring Darrien and The Speed of Sound Choir, the song is from the album Starshipz & Rocketz produced by The Block Beattaz. Stalley's version incorporates the same beat and hook as the G-Side track.
The music video, directed by Mr. Boomtown, was released on July 9, 2013 and features cameo appearances by Rick Ross, Omarion, and Rockie Fresh, Paul Wall and Killa Kyleon. The clip includes scenes of Stalley and his friends cruising around his hometown of Massillon, Ohio in customized vehicles.
In the Rain may refer to:
The Rain were the Manchester band that eventually evolved into Oasis. The band formed in Manchester, England in 1991, taking their name from The Beatles' B-side, "Rain". Founding members were Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs (guitar), Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan (bass), Chris Hutton (vocals). Drummer Tony McCarroll joined shortly after the band formed to replace their drum machine and Hutton was replaced as vocalist by Liam Gallagher, who became the band's songwriter, in partnership with Arthurs. In this partnership, they wrote several songs including "Take Me" and "Life in Vain". The band rehearsed only one day a week and did not perform at shows often.
Shortly after Liam joined, the band was renamed Oasis, at his suggestion. Various explanations of the origins of the name have been offered, however, it came about when Liam’s older brother Noel roadied for the Inspiral Carpets at a venue in Swindon called the Oasis Leisure Centre. Liam reportedly liked the name's "resonance of imagery."
One day in August 1991, Noel, having recently returned from the Inspiral Carpets' tour of the U.S., went to watch his brother's band perform at the Manchester Boardwalk, supporting a band called Sweet Jesus. Noel offered to join, reportedly on condition that he would be the lead guitarist and they would perform only his songs. Noel made an instant impact on the band, he began to introduce new sounds and ways of creating music. After a few small warm up gigs in towns such as Middlesbrough, the band decided to produce Definitely Maybe, under the name of Oasis.
Paul Michael Slayton (born March 11, 1981), better known by his stage name Paul Wall, is an American rapper. He is affiliated with Swishahouse Records. He has released several albums under the label and collaborating with other rappers signed to the label. He was musical partners with rapper Chamillionaire with whom he released several albums including the independently released Get Ya Mind Correct. In 2005, he was signed to Atlantic Records and became successful with his major-label debut The Peoples Champ. Get Money, Stay True followed in 2007.
Wall attended Jersey Village High School and studied mass communications at the University of Houston for three years. After proposing to do promotions for Michael "5000" Watts' company, Swishahouse, Chamillionaire and Paul Wall came to Watts' studio, KBXX. Paul and Chamillionaire convinced Watts to let them rap on his radio show and put the verses on one of his mixtapes. That mixtape was titled Choppin Em Up Part 2, which was released in mid-1999. The freestyle became so popular in the streets that Chamillionaire and Paul Wall became regular staples on Houston's mixtape circuit, appeared on several of Watts' mixtapes and became permanent members of Swishahouse.
A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.

Swanging, swanging
84's adapters, we throwed we cappers
Swanging, swanging
Whether chrome or gold, 24's we roll
[Tite]
I'm in that Bentley drop, black with the lacquer top
Paint sweating like it's hot, wheels refuse to stop
Hoes love Chalie and Tite, like Brian McKnight
24's on the shine, looking larger than life
We rap stars for real, with big cars and wheels
Haters try to pull us down, so we tuck in the steal
That's the way we ride, with big Texas pride
Plex denied, catch us in a Lexus ride
24's and spinners, diamond grill we grinners
Sometimes we sinners, at all times we winners
I gots to have it, with V-12 kick back
Then sit back, while this young cat spit that
I gots to do my thang, hit the block and slang
I gotta come up and stang, so 24's I swang
It's the D-3 nut, Chalie Boy what's up
Get in the truck, 24's kicking up dust
[Hook x2]
[Chalie]
It's the Summer time
So I'ma pull, out the dropper-eeer
Which one do I choose
The Lac's off or the Benz, hard topper
Sitting popper, on my 24's
On my favorite, the 84's
Screens on, flicks being shown
As I'm pissing off the shady homes
I'm a trunk breaker, certified show shaker
All the rims I found, why why
They certified Omega
Spre's on the Hummer
Labs on the Benz, in the winter
My series come soon, my life
Called the versatile now, when you see me I'm
