Here it is, Pink Noise Ten Hours. rendered with a higher audio stream rate and dark screen as requested by listeners.
Pink Noise has been listened too for a variety of reasons and uses one would not imagine. Besides it's use for audio testing, where I first encounter Pink Noise, folks use it for headphone burn-in, ear fatigue relief, to mask loud sounds, to help study or concentrate, to get a good night sleep, or just to listen to something so basic and minimalist, the mind can think about other things.
Let's not get too deep. It's for fun.
The creation process involved a DAW (digital audio workstation), ProTools. A audio synthesizer plug-in was utilized for a new and improved sound to create noise which is then equalized to represent the audio spectrum responses of pink noise as defined by the broadcast industry in the early-mid 20th Century. The audio is recorded from the generator for 10 hours and then exported into a video editing program, Magix Vegas. A corresponding video is created with custom graphics I made in the video program. The visual is animated eventually dimming, then married to the audio and rendered out to the full length final video.

Ten hours of uninterrupted pink noise.
For relaxation at low level and masking of other noise in your direct environment. Pink noise randomized static which sounds like a combination of the ocean and a TV set. Television static is white noise by definition which is thinner sounding with less low frequencies than pink noise. Also referred to as Flicker Noise, Pink Noise has equal energy to all sound frequency octaves. That means more lows, or bass frequencies, that sound similar to the power of the natural ocean waves or a large waterfall.
Immerse yourself in pink noise for a whole day shift or a good night's sleep. Experience the effects of Pink noise over time to understand what it is and its potential natural calming effect on the mind. Noise, even at a low level, seems to have the effect of masking more disruptive sounds in the listening environment. It has been used in offices to subdue the mechanical sounds of office equipment voices and phones.
Pink Noise is electronically generated, yet seems to have a primal aesthetic .It is absolutely reminiscent of natural sounds: the ocean, a large waterfall, heavy rain and wind...all of which man has listened to since the dawn of time. Listeners use pink noise for meditation, is it masking or soothing or calling to a primal past? Perhaps all of the above. So many uses, I had not conceived. Thanks listeners!
I do know that...
Pink Noise is used by Audio Engineers to test speakers as the full spectrum sound can quickly reveal optimal speaker performance or speaker issues. Mixing consoles and audio software programs often have pink and white noise built in for testing signal through various signal paths of a board through the amplifiers and to the speakers.
This brings us to headphone burn in.
I have to admit, headphone burning was not on my mind when I made the Ten Hours of Pink Noise. I had heard of the concept. I figured audio engineers would find the clip useful as a playback through PA and recording gear not equipped with a signal generator. It wasn't long before the burn in comments started coming in. I have never deliberately set out to break my headphone in, but many do. A few manufacturers mention the technique. Headphones are meant to be used out of the box. There are listening enthusiasts who feel a worn in set of headphones sound better. By playing full spectrum pink noise for an extended period. The burn in procedure is theoretically more even than playing back music. Check out the comment field and it's plain to see there are believers and non-believers of headphone burn in. I say, what can it hurt? Burn away. And thanks listeners for sharing headphone models and brands and listening observations. I'm going to listen to the commenters before my next high-end headphone purchase.
On a technical note:
The amount of spectrum energy decreases 10 dB/octave of frequency. This creates increased low frequency information in relation to mid-range and high frequencies.
This is the first ever long play noise on DaleSnale channel and I thank YouTube for the 'Official' ranking. It's rough around the edges and preceding videos have improved in graphic quality as we move into the HD era. All the audio is generated and mixed at ElectricCanyon recording studio to ensure a pleasant listening or burning experience.

Depending on your sleeping habits, you may like to sleep in a silent or a noisy environment. The baseline has probably been set during your childhood.
If your sleeping room is too quiet, and you miss a certain level of noise, then you can artificially add one by playing one of our Perfect 10 videos, while sleeping.
A silent room can be also a place where you may be easily distracted by the slightest sounds around. Usually, you may not notice these quiet sounds, but if you do, and do find them annoying, then you will have a problem. It can be the noise of a distant neighbor’s television set, or your tinnitus. And as you get even more irritated, the situation can only get worse!
The solution is to find another noise that you enjoy better, and that is capable of making the nuisance noise disappear. You will then use this sound as a noise blocker − this video for example. Because the sound of this video sounds even, and doesn’t change over time, your brain will wipe it out from your conscious mind after a couple of minutes, sometimes even less. That’s right, you won’t hear it anymore.
Our brain excels at filtering out constant stimuli. Think about it; it doesn’t make sense for the brain to devote energy to processing an input that does not change, especially when it is time to shut down and sleep! So, faster than you could have imagined, you will enjoy sleeping in a very particular silence: a silence made by a sound that gets ignored by the brain, but still masks the original nuisance!

Pink noise
Pink noise or 1⁄f noise is a signal or process with a frequency spectrum such that the power spectral density (energy or power per Hz) is inversely proportional to the frequency of the signal. In pink noise, each octave (halving/doubling in frequency) carries an equal amount of noise power. The name arises from the pink appearance of visible light with this power spectrum.
Within the scientific literature the term pink noise is sometimes used a little more loosely to refer to any noise with a power spectral density of the form
where f is frequency and 0 < α < 2, with exponent α usually close to 1. These pink-like noises occur widely in nature and are a source of considerable interest in many fields. The distinction between the noises with α near 1 and those with a broad range of α approximately corresponds to a much more basic distinction. The former (narrow sense) generally come from condensed matter systems in quasi-equilibrium, as discussed below. The latter (broader sense) generally correspond to a wide range of non-equilibrium driven dynamical systems.

Beck Hansen (born Bek David Campbell; July 8, 1970), known by the stage name Beck, is an American singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. He rose to fame in the early 1990s with his lo-fi, sonically experimental style, and he became well known for creating musical collages of a wide range of styles. His later recordings encompass folk, funk, soul, hip hop, alternative rock, country and psychedelia. He has released 12 studio albums, as well as several non-album singles and a book of sheet music.
Born in Los Angeles in 1970, Beck discovered hip hop and folk music in his teens and began to perform locally at coffeehouses and clubs. He moved to New York City in 1989 and became involved in the city's small but intense anti-folk movement. After returning to his hometown in the early 1990s, he cut his breakthrough single "Loser", which became a worldwide hit in 1994. His 1996 album Odelay produced hit singles, topped critic polls and won several awards. He released the stripped-down Mutations in 1998, and the funk-infused Midnite Vultures in 1999. The downcast, acoustic Sea Change (2002) showcased a more serious Beck, and 2005's Guero returned to sample-based production. The Information (2006) was inspired by electro-funk and hip hop, and Modern Guilt (2008), likewise, by 1960s music. In February 2014, Beck released the album Morning Phase. It won Album of the Year at the 57th Grammy Awards on February 8, 2015.

Beck (manga)
BECK (Japanese: ベック, Hepburn: Bekku) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Harold Sakuishi. It was originally serialized in Monthly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2008, with the 103 chapters later published into 34 tankōbon volumes by Kodansha. It tells the story of a group of Japanese teenagers who form a rock band and their struggle to fame, focusing on 14-year-old Yukio "Koyuki" Tanaka, who until meeting guitar prodigy Ryusuke Minami was an average teen with a boring life.
It was adapted into a 26-episode anime television series, titled BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad, by Madhouse and aired on TV Tokyo from October 2004 to March 2005. A live-action film adaptation was released in 2010 and stars Takeru Satoh as Koyuki and Hiro Mizushima as Ryusuke. The series has also spawned three guidebooks, four soundtracks, a video game and a line of guitars.
The original manga was licensed for an English-language release in North America by Tokyopop. Volume 1 was published in July 2005, but the series was discontinued after the release of the 12th volume in June 2008. The anime was licensed for an English-language release by Funimation. The first DVD was released in 2007, and the last in January 2008.

The creation process involved a DAW (digital audio workstation), ProTools. A audio synthesizer plug-in was utilized for a new and improved sound to create noise which is then equalized to represent the audio spectrum responses of pink noise as defined by the broadcast industry in the early-mid 20th Century. The audio is recorded from the generator for 10 hours and then exported into a video editing program, Magix Vegas. A corresponding video is created with custom graphics I made in the video program. The visual is animated eventually dimming, then married to the audio and rendered out to the full length final video.

For relaxation at low level and masking of other noise in your direct environment. Pink noise randomized static which sounds like a combination of the ocean and a TV set. Television static is white noise by definition which is thinner sounding with less low frequencies than pink noise. Also referred to as Flicker Noise, Pink Noise has equal energy to all sound frequency octaves. That means more lows, or bass frequencies, that sound similar to the power of the natural ocean waves or a large waterfall.
Immerse yourself in pink noise for a whole day shift or a good night's sleep. Experience the effects of Pink noise over time to understand what it is and its potential natural calming effect on the mind. Noise, even at a low level, seems to have the effect of masking more disruptive sounds in the listening environment. It has been used in offices to subdue the mechanical sounds of office equipment voices and phones.
Pink Noise is electronically generated, yet seems to have a primal aesthetic .It is absolutely reminiscent of natural sounds: the ocean, a large waterfall, heavy rain and wind...all of which man has listened to since the dawn of time. Listeners use pink noise for meditation, is it masking or soothing or calling to a primal past? Perhaps all of the above. So many uses, I had not conceived. Thanks listeners!

Pink Noise is used by Audio Engineers to test speakers as the full spectrum sound can quickly reveal optimal speaker performance or speaker issues. Mixing consoles and audio software programs often have pink and white noise built in for testing signal through various signal paths of a board through the amplifiers and to the speakers.
This brings us to headphone burn in.
I have to admit, headphone burning was not on my mind when I made the Ten Hours of Pink Noise. I had heard of the concept. I figured audio engineers would find the clip useful as a playback through PA and recording gear not equipped with a signal generator. It wasn't long before the burn in comments started coming in. I have never deliberately set out to break my headphone in, but many do. A few manufacturers mention the technique. Headphones are meant to be used out of the box. There are listening enthusiasts who feel a worn in set of headphones sound better. By playing full spectrum pink noise for an extended period. The burn in procedure is theoretically more even than playing back music. Check out the comment field and it's plain to see there are believers and non-believers of headphone burn in. I say, what can it hurt? Burn away. And thanks listeners for sharing headphone models and brands and listening observations. I'm going to listen to the commenters before my next high-end headphone purchase.
On a technical note:
The amount of spectrum energy decreases 10 dB/octave of frequency. This creates increased low frequency information in relation to mid-range and high frequencies.
This is the first ever long play noise on DaleSnale channel and I thank YouTube for the 'Official' ranking. It's rough around the edges and preceding videos have improved in graphic quality as we move into the HD era. All the audio is generated and mixed at ElectricCanyon recording studio to ensure a pleasant listening or burning experience.
The creation process involved a DAW (digital audio workstation), ProTools. A audio signal generator was utilized to create noise which is then equalized to represent the audio spectrum responses of pink noise as defined by the broadcast industry in the early-mid 20th Century. The audio is recorded from the generator for 10 hours and then exported into a video editing program, Magix Vegas. A corresponding video is created with custom graphics I made in the video program. The visual is animated, then married to the audio and rendered out to the full length final video.
There are several noise colors to choose from. Try them all or mix and match a recipe playing back more than one in multiple browser tabs.

Depending on your sleeping habits, you may like to sleep in a silent or a noisy environment. The baseline has probably been set during your childhood.
If your sleeping room is too quiet, and you miss a certain level of noise, then you can artificially add one by playing one of our Perfect 10 videos, while sleeping.
A silent room can be also a place where you may be easily distracted by the slightest sounds around. Usually, you may not notice these quiet sounds, but if you do, and do find them annoying, then you will have a problem. It can be the noise of a distant neighbor’s television set, or your tinnitus. And as you get even more irritated, the situation can only get worse!
The solution is to find another noise that you enjoy better, and that is capable of making the nuisance noise disappear. You will then use this sound as a noise blocker − this video for example. Because the sound of this video sounds even, and doesn’t change over time, your brain will wipe it out from your conscious mind after a couple of minutes, sometimes even less. That’s right, you won’t hear it anymore.
Our brain excels at filtering out constant stimuli. Think about it; it doesn’t make sense for the brain to devote energy to processing an input that does not change, especially when it is time to shut down and sleep! So, faster than you could have imagined, you will enjoy sleeping in a very particular silence: a silence made by a sound that gets ignored by the brain, but still masks the original nuisance!

Pink Noise has been listened too for a variety of reasons and uses one would not imagine. Besides it's use for audio testing, where I first encounter Pink Noise, folks use it for headphone burn-in, ear fatigue relief, to mask loud sounds, to help study or concentrate, to get a good night sleep, or just to listen to something so basic and minimalist, the mind can think about other things.
Let's not get too deep. It's for fun.
The creation process involved a DAW (digital audio workstation), ProTools. A audio synthesizer plug-in was utilized for a new and improved sound to create noise which is then equalized to represent the audio spectrum responses of pink noise as defined by the broadcast industry in the early-mid 20th Century. The audio is recorded from the generator for 10 hours and then exported into a video editing program, Magix Vegas. A corresponding video is created with custom graphics I made in the video program. The visual is animated eventually dimming, then married to the audio and rendered out to the full length final video.

Ten hours of uninterrupted pink noise.
For relaxation at low level and masking of other noise in your direct environment. Pink noise randomized static which sounds like a combination of the ocean and a TV set. Television static is white noise by definition which is thinner sounding with less low frequencies than pink noise. Also referred to as Flicker Noise, Pink Noise has equal energy to all sound frequency octaves. That means more lows, or bass frequencies, that sound similar to the power of the natural ocean waves or a large waterfall.
Immerse yourself in pink noise for a whole day shift or a good night's sleep. Experience the effects of Pink noise over time to understand what it is and its potential natural calming effect on the mind. Noise, even at a low level, seems to have the effect of masking more disruptive sounds in the listening environment. It has been used in offices to subdue the mechanical sounds of office equipment voices and phones.
Pink Noise is electronically generated, yet seems to have a primal aesthetic .It is absolutely reminiscent of natural sounds: the ocean, a large waterfall, heavy rain and wind...all of which man has listened to since the dawn of time. Listeners use pink noise for meditation, is it masking or soothing or calling to a primal past? Perhaps all of the above. So many uses, I had not conceived. Thanks listeners!
I do know that...
Pink Noise is used by Audio Engineers to test speakers as the full spectrum sound can quickly reveal optimal speaker performance or speaker issues. Mixing consoles and audio software programs often have pink and white noise built in for testing signal through various signal paths of a board through the amplifiers and to the speakers.
This brings us to headphone burn in.
I have to admit, headphone burning was not on my mind when I made the Ten Hours of Pink Noise. I had heard of the concept. I figured audio engineers would find the clip useful as a playback through PA and recording gear not equipped with a signal generator. It wasn't long before the burn in comments started coming in. I have never deliberately set out to break my headphone in, but many do. A few manufacturers mention the technique. Headphones are meant to be used out of the box. There are listening enthusiasts who feel a worn in set of headphones sound better. By playing full spectrum pink noise for an extended period. The burn in procedure is theoretically more even than playing back music. Check out the comment field and it's plain to see there are believers and non-believers of headphone burn in. I say, what can it hurt? Burn away. And thanks listeners for sharing headphone models and brands and listening observations. I'm going to listen to the commenters before my next high-end headphone purchase.
On a technical note:
The amount of spectrum energy decreases 10 dB/octave of frequency. This creates increased low frequency information in relation to mid-range and high frequencies.
This is the first ever long play noise on DaleSnale channel and I thank YouTube for the 'Official' ranking. It's rough around the edges and preceding videos have improved in graphic quality as we move into the HD era. All the audio is generated and mixed at ElectricCanyon recording studio to ensure a pleasant listening or burning experience.

Depending on your sleeping habits, you may like to sleep in a silent or a noisy environment. The baseline has probably been set during your childhood.
If your sleeping room is too quiet, and you miss a certain level of noise, then you can artificially add one by playing one of our Perfect 10 videos, while sleeping.
A silent room can be also a place where you may be easily distracted by the slightest sounds around. Usually, you may not notice these quiet sounds, but if you do, and do find them annoying, then you will have a problem. It can be the noise of a distant neighbor’s television set, or your tinnitus. And as you get even more irritated, the situation can only get worse!
The solution is to find another noise that you enjoy better, and that is capable of making the nuisance noise disappear. You will then use this sound as a noise blocker − this video for example. Because the sound of this video sounds even, and doesn’t change over time, your brain will wipe it out from your conscious mind after a couple of minutes, sometimes even less. That’s right, you won’t hear it anymore.
Our brain excels at filtering out constant stimuli. Think about it; it doesn’t make sense for the brain to devote energy to processing an input that does not change, especially when it is time to shut down and sleep! So, faster than you could have imagined, you will enjoy sleeping in a very particular silence: a silence made by a sound that gets ignored by the brain, but still masks the original nuisance!

Pink noise or 1⁄f noise is a signal or process with a frequency spectrum such that the power spectral density (energy or power per Hz) is inversely proportional to the frequency of the signal. In pink noise, each octave (halving/doubling in frequency) carries an equal amount of noise power. The name arises from the pink appearance of visible light with this power spectrum.
Within the scientific literature the term pink noise is sometimes used a little more loosely to refer to any noise with a power spectral density of the form
where f is frequency and 0 < α < 2, with exponent α usually close to 1. These pink-like noises occur widely in nature and are a source of considerable interest in many fields. The distinction between the noises with α near 1 and those with a broad range of α approximately corresponds to a much more basic distinction. The former (narrow sense) generally come from condensed matter systems in quasi-equilibrium, as discussed below. The latter (broader sense) generally correspond to a wide range of non-equilibrium driven dynamical systems.
