"Look of Love" is a song written by Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry, which was a 1964 Top 40 hit for Lesley Gore. The song was one in a long line of successful "Brill Building Sound" hits created by composers and arrangers working in New York City's Brill Building at 1619 Broadway. Pop songwriting stars Barry and Greenwich had previously scored hits with songs such as "Be My Baby" and "Baby, I Love You" (The Ronettes), and "Then He Kissed Me" and "Da Doo Ron Ron" (The Crystals).
The most commercially successful solo singer to be identified with the girl group sound, Lesley Gore hit the number one spot with her first release, "It's My Party," in 1963.Look of Love was produced by Quincy Jones, who amped up the teenager's sound with double-tracked vocals and intricate backup vocals and horns. "Irresistibly melodic... it remains a classic archetype of female adolescent yearning."
In the US, Look of Love peaked at #27 on the Billboard charts. The song has been covered by other artists, notably Pattie D'Arcy, Ellie Greenwich, and The Copycats.
The Face of Love is a 2013 American romantic drama film directed by Arie Posin and co-written by Matthew McDuffie. The film stars Annette Bening, Ed Harris, Robin Williams, Amy Brenneman, Jess Weixler and Linda Park. It was screened in the Special Presentation section at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
Nikki (Bening) is a recent widow whose husband, Garret (Ed Harris), died in a drowning accident and has not yet gotten over it. Objects, people and situations that remind Nikki of the love of her life still haunt her. Resigned to life alone, Nikki visits an art gallery she often frequented with Garret and sees a man (Harris in a dual role) whose resemblance to her husband stuns her. She returns to the gallery several more times, hoping to see him. Eventually, Nikki identifies him as a professor at a small local college. She finds "Tom" on the internet and visits an art class he is teaching; but she is emotionally overwhelmed and flees. Eventually, Nikki calms down and invites Tom to give her private, at home, tutoring in painting. She doesn't disclose to him his physical resemblance to her late husband.
Love Quest (ラブクエスト, Rabukuesuto) is a 1995 video game for the Super Famicom that was released exclusively in Japan.
Initially, the game was planned to be released for the Family Computer. A prototype copy of this game was leaked into the public and has been sold for a price of 250000 Yen at an online auction that took place in 2008.
The player begins the game as a young man with an Oedipus complex who searches for his bride who disappeared during their wedding. Instead of fighting "girls" (who vary in age, occupation, and appearance) in a random encounter, the player has to "win" their heart. Some of their "special attacks" includes the girls biting their nails and using their cosmetics. Items of armor must be bought at boutiques while weapons must be earned by progressing through the story. The video game is set in the backdrop of 20th century urban Japan.
There is no sex or nudity; despite the "suggestive" themes of promiscuity that are present in the game. The same girls that "attack" the player also join the play to support and heal him.
Love Quest (Japanese: ラブクエ, Hepburn: Rabu Kue) is a Japanese boys love manga written and illustrated by Lily Hoshino. It was released in English by Yen Press in October 2008.
Anime News Network said that Love Quest is a "serious stinker", but Mania Entertainment found it "surprisingly entertaining", regarding Hoshino's art as redeeming the story. Deb Aoki for About.com felt that Hoshino's sense of humour was the saving grace of Love Quest, and described it as "disposable BL fun". PopCultureShock describes the story as being quite good for a oneshot, and roughly equivalent to a romance novel.Jason Thompson was disappointed by the "lack of humor" and apparent "rushed, sketchy execution" of the manga.
The look of love is in your eyes
A look that time can't disguise
The look of love is saying so much more
Than just words could ever say
And what my heart has heard
Well, it takes my breath away
I can hardly wait to hold you, feel my arms around you
How long I have waited, waited just to love you
Now that I have found you
You've got the look of love, it's on your face
A look that time can't erase
Be mine tonight, let this be just the start
Of so many nights like this
Let's take a lover's vow and then seal it with a kiss
I can hardly wait to hold you, feel my arms around you
How long I have waited, waited just to love you
Now that I have found you, don't ever go
Don't ever go, don't ever go
Don't ever go, don't ever go
Don't ever go, don't ever go
