(tatu, Tatu), a Russian music duo consisting of Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova. The girls are not and were not a couple. Their public displays of affection were mainly a marketing gimmick by their former producer, Ivan Shapovalov, whose ideas on this mainly stemmed from pornography as well as pedophilia; he admitted that he "preferred underage girls." Now, this does not mean that all groups who display lesbian, gay, bisexual, etc. affection are "fake" or just do it as a marketing gimmick. This does not mean that people that are a part of the LGBT community are only doing it for sex or publicity. Please do not think that such a ridiculous claim is truthful. It just so happened that Shapovalov figured it would be something people would be interested in . . . and he was right. Volkova and Katina both support the LGBT community. t.A.T.u. broke up in 2011, but have had reunions in 2012 and 2013. However, as previously stated, they are no longer an active music duo. This song, as it is chiefly believed, is about a girl who happens to have a crush on a gay boy. However, there is nothing wrong with interpreting it slightly differently; the same situation could happen, but with a boy that has a crush on a lesbian girl. You can apply the song to such a situation, as the concept is the same. This video was made nearly six years ago (at the time of me updating this description; 9/4/13); I was only 13 then. I'm nearly 19 now. Things have changed. I don't have time (nor the desire) to police the comments section. I understand everyone has different views and opinions, and you can openly discuss them and argue your sides; but I kindly ask that you not just sit here and flame one another. Calling a person a "dumbass fuckhead" or something just because they misinterpreted the song, don't agree with you, had a question that may have already been answered, etc. is uncalled for, and gets both of you absolutely nowhere.
