OK, so here we go. I have (had) a giant bruise on my upper lip and thought why not take a purple, mustache shaped lemon, and make some delicious concealer flavoured lemonade? I use this concealer technique more often than I would like to - I must sleep walk or something because I am constantly finding mysterious bruises on my appendages. So today I'm showing you how to cover a dirty big bruise, using makeup you probably already own - no specialist colour correctors here. But I suppose I should address the elephant in the room - why do I have a giant bruise on my face in the first place? Well....*deep breath... I only went and got my bloody lips done. It's something I have been thinking of doing for years, and if you have been watching my videos for any length of time, that should come as no surprise - I overdraw my lips in about 90% of my tutorials . I will be writing about my lip injection experience in greater detail after I get back from the wedding, and I have some decent before and after pics (I'm still a little swollen), so if you have any questions about it, let me know and I'll try and answer them for you. Hey guys! Today I'm tackling bruises and the various stages as they heal. In this tutorial I demonstrate five different bruises. General info to keep in mind about bruises: Bruises are pools of blood underneath the skin usually caused by blunt trauma. Capillaries rupture and blood seeps out into the surrounding tissue. Depending on the severity of the injury bruises will vary in appearance. Skin tone and age of the person also factor in to what the bruise will look like. Bruises will be more prominent on lighter skin as well as older skin. Throughout the healing process the bruise will typically change color as the hemoglobin breaks down. Red, blue, purple, green, yellow and golden brown tones will appear on the surface of the skin. The bruise will also spread throughout the process of healing.
