7 robbers in police net
TNN | Mar 27, 2016, 05.21 AM IST Bengaluru: Seven persons were arrested on Saturday for robbing petrol bunk employees of Rs 9 lakh recently.
Yelahanka police have recovered Rs seven lakh from the accused. Two accused are still at large.
On March 21, four miscreants had waylaid the petrol bunk employees near Hunasamaranahalli at 11am and fled with cash. The employees were on their way to nearby bank to deposit the money. The dacoity took place 200 metres from the bunk.
Probe revealed the involvement of a former employee who had quit the job a week ago. "As per the information given by the bunk owner, we detained Naveen Chandrappa of Magadi town for questioning and he spilled the bean," police said.
