Melora Walters (born October 21, 1959) is an American actress.
Walters was born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to American parents in 1960 (according to IMDB). She was partly raised there and in Holland. Walters attended high school at Lake Forest Academy-Ferry Hall in Lake Forest, Illinois. She is divorced from Nip/Tuck actor Dylan Walsh, with whom she has two children, Joanna and Thomas.
Cast three times by Paul Thomas Anderson, Walters has appeared in Hard Eight, Boogie Nights (as Jessie St. Vincent), and Magnolia (as Claudia Wilson Gator). She has also appeared on such television shows as Roseanne, Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and CSI.
In 2003, Walters portrayed Lila in Cold Mountain, and in 2004, played Andrea Treborn in the The Butterfly Effect. She guest-starred as Sylvia Greene on Desperate Housewives in 2007 and played the role of Wanda Hendrickson in the HBO drama Big Love.
