Toronto Councillor Paula Fletcher relayed that message, following a community-only meeting Tuesday night at the Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre, just steps away from 70 Blake St. — in the Danforth-Pape Aves. area — where shots were fired at one of the complex’s units Friday night. TCHC tenants and other members of the immediate community voted to bar the media from the meeting....

The proposed relief line would start at Pape station on the Bloor-Danforth subway and proceed south and west along Queen St., linking up with the Yonge subway line at the Queen station and the University subway line at Osgoode. Its second phase would continue along Queen Street, eventually linking up with the Bloor-Danforth line again at Dundas West station....

 A 10-year-old boy asleep at home with his mother was shot through a window Friday night in the east end. Police were called to Blake St., near Danforth and Pape Aves., just before midnight for the reports of gunshots in the area. Paramedics took the boy to the Hospital for Sick Children with a wound in his shoulder but he is expected to make a full recovery ... My parents are with him at the hospital and right now it is all I know....

The idea being mulled over is to build a subway from Pape and The Danforth south to the vicinity of Queen St ... and then west terminating at the present Osgoode station on the Yonge University-Spadina line ... But, wait a minute, that’s only a dozen or so streets south of the proposed multi-billion dollar Downtown Relief Line’s connection with the Bloor-Danforth subway ... The two east-west streets ended at Yonge St....
